Usually, when you hear a rap artist talk about ice they are referring to their iced out chain meaning diamonds. Well, 21 Savage case is a little different because the rapper was arrested by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) on Sunday. Shayaabin Abraham-Joseph aka as 21 Savage entered the USA legally in 2005 from the United Kingdom where he is a citizen. Shayaabin visa expired in 2006 and he been living in the United States illegally ever since.
Shayaabin Abraham-Joseph is being detained in Georgia by ICE until his immigration hearing. The rapper spent a lot of time in East Atlanta zone 6 the 21 in the rap name is allegedly about a gang in Decatur Georgia. 21 Savage was also convicted of a felony drug charge in 2014 we will see how that affects his immigration status when he has his day in court. The rapper has given back to the community working with the youth in the Atlanta area.
