Sir Mix-A-Lot back in 1992 had his big hit “Baby Got Back” which was all about women with curves. With 2014s Nicki Minaj hit using the hit in “Anaconda” Mix couldn’t help but share how he thought people have changed in the years between to two hits. “When I did ‘Baby Got Back,’ women with curves were not accepted,” Mix-A-Lot says in an interview with Billboard. He goes on to say that the African American community has always loved women with curves and that the woman shouldn’t be ashamed if they got them which he thinks Nicki Minaj is creating a movement with.

Rick Ross is getting his album ready for release after his label mate Meek Mill had to push his back. Ross went to twitter to tease his fans that his first single would release today using the hashtag #HOODBILLIONAIRE and with Meek Mill, Stalley, and Wale all having albums coming up you can really see MMG is wasting no time with giving their fans content.

Kendrick in an interview with Rolling Stone said “There was a lot left out of good kid—it could have been a 30-track album,” Kendrick also said there would be a few songs that tie in with his last album in the new one. Yesterday Nicki Minaj took to twitter to express her feelings about her high school, LaGuardia High School, turning her down on her proposal to speak to the students. She said in her tweets “that school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now. I was really looking forward to it.” This is truly unfortunate because even in older interviews Minaj would express nothing but love for her old High School.

This October Kendrick Lamar is scheduled to perform on a private Island in the Bermuda Triangle. This area of the Atlantic ocean is known for strange disappearances. The event hosted by Bacardi will also include performances from Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding. The event runs from October 30^th to November 2^nd on a private island.

DJ Skee’s DASH radio has just launched an odd future station and in an interview with HipHopDX DJ Skee himself had this to say. “We’re super excited about launching an Odd Future station on DASH Radio, It’s a win for everyone. They get to express themselves freely on the air and our listeners get a great new station.” The station is a 24/7 commercial free station for things like their shows, their friends, their music. So basically anything the group can come up with they can do on their station.

On September 10^th Kanye West suffered from a migraine and was rushed to a hospital in Australia.  Kanye had to do an emergency MRI while there.  A witness said, “Next thing we knew, Kanye was stretchered in surrounded by security. He had one side of his face covered with something white, We both knew it was him because we had seen his photo in the paper every day and we were shocked because it looked so serious.”
