“To Know Your History Is Everything” say Nas

Rapper Nas has a new documentary called "Hidden Colors 3: The Rules of Racism".  In the documentary Nas emphasized the importance of history.  He said "To know your history is everything," Nas says. "No matter who you are, especially Black, because you're constantly being told that you were nothing but a slave. No one began as a slave. That's not what God put you here for."   The rapper has a single called "I Can" on the single he addressed the idea of Slavery and education.  He raps "If the truth is told, the youth can grow," Nas raps on the track. "They learn to survive until they gain control / Nobody says you have to be gangstas, hoes / Read more, learn more, change the globe."
