This summer Jay Z will be having a two-day 50,000 ticket Budweiser Made in America concert.  Apparently L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti have given the green light without letting city councilman Jose Huizar know about it.  The usual protocal for this kind of an event has not taken.  There is no city street closure permits, there no report on public safety concern, no report of the cost of the event, LAPD has not given approval and there has been no community input.  The LA City Hall can not support an event where there has been no community outreach to get necessary feedback.  Downtown LA resident are tired of special events and street closures.  This is an big event it will impact the neighborhood for days.  Mayor office release this statement. We are in discussions about a potential event. If and when details become more firmly set, we will engage additional stakeholders. We all share the goal of a fun event that showcases Downtown and boosts our economy.
