Tribeca Film company has obtained the U.S. distribution right to 'Time Is Illmatic' which chronicles the making of Nas debut album 'Illmatic'. The film premiered in April with the like of Robert De Niro and Raekwon in attendance. Eric Parker wrote 'Time Is Illmatic' he said "If you look at conditions then and now not much has changed for the people Nas represented, but so much changed in the world". "What is important for us to tell is that Nas is a genius, but he's one of just a few that made it out". The documentary will be in theaters and on-demand in October. In the film there will be appearances from Nas, Alicia Keys, Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes and more.
