Kanye West’s family has come forward to reveal their opinions about the recent news that reality TV star Kim Kardashian is pregnant with the rapper’s first child.

Kanye West’s cousin Tony Williams spoke to Hollyscoop.comand revealed that Kanye broke the news to everyone, the day after Christmas.

“Kanye flew in the day after Christmas without Kim to tell us the news. When he told us, the family was silent. We were all kind of shocked,” Williams revealed.

After several minutes of awkward silence and shock, the family expressed excitement over the news about the pregnancy.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, who is still technically married to NBA player Kris Humphries appear to be a happy couple since the news broke on December 31.

The pair was spotted ringing in the New Year in Las Vegas, followed by a trip to Pinkberry in Los Angeles, where the couple snuggled together, while eating yogurt.

Tragedy struck this morning on the side of the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles, when a paparazzo attempting to shoot Justin Bieber’s Ferrari was struck by a car and killed.

Police had pulled over Justin Bieber’s white Ferrari for speeding, according to reports.

A photographer who had been following Justin Bieber all day pulled over on the side of the road to shoot images of the traffic stop.

The photographer thought that Justin Bieber was in the Ferrari, but Young Money rapper/Lil Wayne affiliate Lil Twist was actually driving the vehicle.

According to reports, the photographer had called a friend, thinking he had a scoop on Bieber, whom he believed was smoking marijuana in the white Ferrari earlier in the day.

The photographer, Chris Guerra, was unaware that Lil Twist had hopped in Justin Bieber’s vehicle without Bieber at the Four Seasons, in downtown Los Angeles.

According to TMZ.com, the photographer was told by the CHP to go back to his car, which was on the other side of the road.

Guerra was struck and killed as he was crossing the highway, to get back into his own vehicle.

Justin Bieber released a statement this morning.

“Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent bystanders and the photographers themselves.”

Lil Twist has yet to release a statement.

Earlier in the day, Lil Twist and Justin Bieber were in Mexico celebrating the New Year.

Ice-T and Coco showed no signs of strife as they renewed their vows in Las Vegas, even though they have been seemingly plagued by a recent controversy.

The couple celebrated 12 years together, as CoCo announced their plans on Twitter.

“Yeah!! It’s Ice and I’s 12th Anniversary today!! We’re getting couples massages & celebrating tonight at LAX Vegas, counting down to 2013!” Coco tweeted.

In December, the couple were wrought with martial confusion as salacious pictures surfaced of her and a rapper named AP.9. The rapper insinuated that he and the 33-year old Coco were involved in an affair.  Furthermore, the rapper AP.9 is rumored to be shopping nude pictures of Coco, but it has yet to be revealed as fact.

Nevertheless, the pair were adorn in formal attire for New Years and they appeared extremely happy.

Lil Wayne honors Baker Skateboards by getting its logo tatted on his face.

Lil Wayne has been steadily covering his body with tattoos over the years, most recently ringing in the New Year by getting some ink on his face.

In a photo posted on Lil Wayne HQ (via MissInfo), Weezy shows off his latest design: the word “Baked” tattooed across his forehead.

The tat pays homage to skateboarding company Baker Skateboards, which uses the design as its logo. Wayne has been an avid skateboarding fan over the past few years, most recently stating that he would put Rap on the backburner for the sport.

“I picked up the skateboard and I thought it would be a hobby, but it’s a lifestyle. You have to be fully committed. In order to be fully committed, you have to live that lifestyle. What these young kids say right now, you have to be about that life. I guess I’m about that life,” he said. “It’s kinda putting rap on the backburner, that’s all. Rap is a taking backseat to skating. That’s alright. But I kind of feel I deserve that. … I think fans deserve some peace from me.”

Chief Keef is off the hook for his alleged probation violation – for now.

Cook County Juvenile Court Judge Carl Anthony Walker ruled today (January 2) that Chief Keef could remain free in light of allegations that the rapper violated his probation by moving to a new home.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Judge Walker found no “credible evidence” that Keef moved without telling authorities, which would have violated the 17-year-old’s parole.

In making his ruling, the Judge denied prosecutors’ request, which was to have the rapper sit in jail until a full hearing later in the month.

Prosecutors alleged that Keef changed his address and failed to notify his probation officer. Currently, the Windy City rapper is on probation after a juvenile conviction for pointing a gun at a police oficer.

A formal hearing on the probation violation is set for January 28.

 

Thousands of people are protesting a new show being launched on Oxygen TV, centered around rapper Shawty Lo and his 10 children.

Shawty Lo is starring in “All My Babies’ Mamas,” that centers around the Atlanta rapper’s “modern family” unit.

In addition to 10 his children, “All My Babies’ Mamas” stars the 10 mothers of Shawty Lo’s children and his new, 19-year-old girlfriend as well.

A petition on Change.org has already reached 3,000 signatures, with outraged replies over the contents of the show.

“By pushing these degrading images, your company seeks to profit from the humiliation of girls and women and the blatant stereotyping of African-Americans,” said the petitions creator, Sabrina Lamb.

“We think Oxygen and the show’s creators and producers have gone too far and if this show is aired, we will, without hesitation, boycott any and all companies that advertise during this minstrel show,” Lamb wrote.

In addition to the petition on Change.org, the show has spark mixed reactions on the Internet.

An editorial on TheRoot.com (a Washington Post company) blasted the show, while an editorial on Clutch Magazine urged African-Americans to stop “owning” such racist television shows.

“Stop it with the black shame. Shawty Lo is not the black community,” wrote Tami Winfrey-Harris. “If the white guys over on Gawker aren’t hanging their heads over Mick Jagger, his many children, and their mothers, then you can still hold your head high in a world where Shawty Lo and ‘Fighter Baby Mama’ exist.”

“All My Babies’ Mamas” was created by Liz Gateley and Tony DiSanto of DiGa Vision.

Together, Gateley and DiSanto are the creative force behind such hit shows such “TRL,” “Run’s House,” “Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘N Out” and others.

“All My Babies’ Mamas” is slated to debut in the Spring of 2013.

Additional artists on the list include Rihanna, Drake, Vybz Kartel and more.

Tupac has been named the most popular artist among prisoners in United Kingdom jails.

According to The Mirror, ‘Pac topped the National Prison Radio 2012 playlist, beating out Vybz Kartel, K Koke,Rihanna and Drake for the top position.

Rihanna is the only solo female artist to make the top 20, while Metallica placed as the highest band at No. 7.Eminem, Lil Wayne and Notorious B.I.G. also made the final cut.

NPR is broadcast to all 84,000 inmates and 4,000 of them requested songs. A host on one of the station’s shows explained, “Listening to something heavy can be a healthy release from prison life.”

Ryan Leslie has been told to tack on to his $1 million reward for the recovery of his stolen laptop.

Ryan Leslie has been ordered to add $180,000 in interest to the $1 million reward for the recovery of his stolen laptop.

According to ABC News, a judge ruled that the singer had to pay more money to a German man named Armin Augstein for finding his laptop in a forest. Leslie’s backpack, which contained his laptop, external hard drive, jewelry and cash, was stolen following a performance in Cologne, Germany in 2010. He initally offered a $20,000 reward but bumped it up to $1 million shortly after.

“He made a second reward video and offered $1 million for just the intellectual property on the external hard drive and computer, the session files,” said his attorney David DeStefano. “They’re different from just an MP3, MP3s are nothing for a producer or a studio engineer, they can’t do anything with them. They need the session files. These were his compositions.”

Augstein reportedly found the laptop in a forest and returned it after learning of the reward. Leslie refused to pay the sum because his files had been corrupted, but in November, a judge ordered him to make good on his promise.

DeStefano and Leslie did not contend the motion for $180,000 because they plan to appeal the entire decision.

Kim Kardashian has expressed great joy over the news that she and rapper Kanye West are expecting their first child.

Kim took to her blog today to confirm the news that she is with Kanye West’s baby.

According to Kim, the high-profile couple feels “blessed”and they hope to start a family together.

“It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby” Kim Kardashian stated. “We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family.”

40 Glocc allegedly knocked out Game’s manager while partying in Las Vegas.

Even though 40 Glocc is currently suing rival Gamefor assault this past July, it looks like the G-Unit affiliate has no intentions of keeping the beef in the courtroom. Now, according to VladTV, rumors are circulating that 40 Glocc attacked and assaulted Game’s manager this weekend.

According to reports, 40 Glocc assaulted Game’s manager Dontay “Taydoe” Kidd this past weekend in Las Vega, Nevada. While details on the incident are sketchy,VladTV managed to obtain a series of 40 Glocc’s Tweets that have since been deleted, in which Glocc boasts that he knocked out Kidd while he was eating pizza.

This recent development in Game and 40 Glocc’s on-going feud comes fresh on the heels of 40 Glocc’s recent diss against the Jesus Piece rapper, “The Full Edit.” Neither Game nor his manager have responded to the claims of the assault.

 

Rapper A$AP Rocky is being sued over a fight that took place in New York clothing store, this past July.

According to reports, A$AP Rocky was doing illegal drugs just before he attacked a man in a New York clothing store.

According to the lawsuit, Shenick Alcine witnessed A$AP Rocky doing illegal drugs inside the clothing store, sparking the assault.

The mayhem continued outside, when A$AP Rocky attacked two amateur photographers who were filming the incident.

A$AP Rocky was eventually charged with assault and robbery for striking photographers and attempting to take their cameras.

A$AP Rocky has already pleaded guilty to grand larceny and the assault and robbery charges were dropped.

Shenick Alcine is seeking unspecified damages.

Chicago rapper Chief Keef will start off the new year fighting for his freedom in court tomorrow (January 2).

Prosecutors are attempting to put Chief Keef in jail, after he moved from his old residence, without telling his probation officer.

The rap star, born Keith Cozart, has moved from a residence with his uncle, into a house in the upscale neighborhood of Northbrook.

The sudden move has angered his probation officers and caused alarm for some of the residents of Northbrook, who fear his ties to the Black Gangster Disciples could bring problems to the neighborhood.

The rapper, who is on probation for pointing a gun at a police officer, is also facing a court date later in the month for a separate, alleged parole violation.

In that case, Chief Keef is accused of holding a gun at a range in New York in a video for Pitchfork Media, in violation of his probation.
