SOURCE:(HIPHOPDX) Justin Timberlake backs away from a dig he made at Kanye West.
Kanye West ruffled some feathers when he paused a performance to state, “I got love for Hov but I ain’t fuckin’ with that ‘Suit & Tie,'” interpreted as a diss towards Justin Timberlake’s smash single “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z.
JT fired back at ‘Ye during his performance on “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend, swapping out the line “Shit’s so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit” for “My hit’s so sick, got rappers acting dramatic.”
During a weeklong appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” the former boy band member jokingly clarified the dig, playing dumb but expressing love for the G.O.O.D. Music rapper.
“Did it seem that way? I don’t remember that. Did I change the line? It is live,” he said. “You know, really, everyone, keep calm. Keep calm.
“Let me just say, for the record, I absolutely love Kanye,” he added. “So there’s that. We love Kanye, right?
SOURCE:(AllHipHop News) This year’s April’s Fools Day will not be a joking matter for a few people in the industry as Love & Hip Hop star, Winter Ramos prepares the release of her new tell-all book Game Over.
Winter recently exposed Love & Hip Hop co-host Lore’l’s prior intimate relationships briefly on the show, to the New York MC’s chagrin.
However, in an excerpt from the upcoming book obtained by AllHipHop.com, Winter details an interesting “love triangle” that developed between herself, ex-lover Jadakiss and Compton MC, Game.
According to the excerpt, Winter described Game as “corny” when they spent time drinking and smoking together, after he kept calling her ghetto. The interesting part of the excerpt is that while she was getting wasted with Game, her mind was on Jadakisss, whose real name is Jason Phillips.
After leaving Game’s hotel room in hopes of Jadakiss being in another room and when he was not, the scorned woman sought revenge:
“Jason wasn’t there and hadn’t been there. I got mad. What kind of business could he be handling that would keep him gone all night? Immediately, I jumped to the conclusion and figured he was with another b*tch, although he’d never played me like that before. Out of spite, I returned to Game’s room.”
According to the excerpt, even though the two entered a jacuzzi upon her return to the rapper’s room, they engaged in no sexual activity:
“The moment seemed weird. There weren’t many times where I was with someone who just chilled in a situation like that.”
In an interview with CocoFab.com she revealed that around the time she was about to sign the book deal, Jadakiss sent her a text simply saying “don’t do it.”
SOURCE: {HIPHOPDX} 40 Glocc goes after Game for a lump sum.
40 Glocc sued Game last October for an assault incident that took place in July, and now, the details have been revealed regarding the financial terms of the suit.
According to TMZ, Glocc sued the Compton, California rapper for a staggering $4.54 million. He is suing Game for: $500,000 in pain and suffering; $500,000 in emotional distress; $750,000 in lost earnings; $2 million for punitive damages; $25,000 in medical expenses; and various other reasons.
The initial incident took place last July, when Game beat Glocc outside of a mansion in Hollywood, California. Glocc claims Game and his 15-men entourage jumped him and filmed the beating, which left him with major injuries to his right eye, ribs, kidneys, right shoulder and back. He also sustained wounds on his face, head, legs, arms and hands.
Glocc sued for assault and battery, as well as damaging his reputation. Since then, Glocc has gone on a smear campaign against Chuck Taylor, releasing his diss “The Full Edit”in December. Game has similarly addressed the situation in several interviews, claiming that filing a lawsuit of this nature “disintegrates your street cred.” At the top of the year, Glocc also claimed that he knocked out Game’s manager.

Lil’ Kim has filed a $1 million suit against a lawyer and businessman, claiming that she was convinced to sign a series of bad licensing agreements.
According to NYDN, the Queen Bee sued Sunny Barkats and Andrew Ro for having her sign the agreements. She claims that Barkats tricked her into entering transactions that gave him and Ro a 44 percent stake in a corporation formed to license her brand names. After confronting him about the deals in December, Kim claims that Barkats refused to rescind them and called the suit a “frivolous” attempt for her to back out of the contracts.
Kim’s financial matters have been documented in the past. In February 2012, the IRS claimed that she owed $1,026,862.42 in unpaid taxes.
The Notorious B.I.G. protege was recently in the news after her publicist battled claims that she distorted her face with plastic surgery. She is also reportedly working on new music, having hit the studio with Timbaland, Wyclef Jean and Rockwilder.

The 22-year-old, named Dedrick Deandre Green, will be sentenced on June 21, according to the Times-Picayune.
An investigation into Green began last May, when he posted a message on his Twitter page threatening District Attorney Hillar Moore III.
“I got a sniper rifle for Hillar Moore when he walk out the courthouse.” Green tweeted last May, in addition to threatening to shoot the “court house up.”
The threat came during the same time that a Lil Boosie song titled “F**k ‘Em All,” was released, which also contain threats against District Attorney Moore.

Brooklyn bred rapper Notorious B.I.G., born Christopher Wallace, was gunned down on March 9, 1997, during a drive-by shooting in front of the Petersen Automotive Museum in downtown Los Angeles, CA.
The rapper died after he was struck by four bullets that pierced the passenger side of the Chevy Suburban, in which he was a passenger.
To date, his murder is still unsolved and no one has ever been arrested for the murder of Notorious B.I.G..
While this anniversary marks 16 years that “Biggie” is not with us in his physical form, his music still lives on today as his catalog makes him one of the greatest selling rappers of all-time.
Amazingly, Life After Death has been certified Diamond by the CIAA and his other albums have reached all reached Platinum status.

“Our last night and pict together . Miss you BIG! Love u bro,” Diddy said via Twitter.
“RIP MY G NOTORIOUS GLORIOUS B.I.G.,” Nas Tweeted.
SOURCE: {HIPHOPDX} Lil’ Kim reflects on losing The Notorious B.I.G., 16 years later.
During her rounds at MTV’s “RapFix Live,” Lil’ Kim fielded a tough question from fellow rapper Bun B.
Bun asked Kim, “How was it dealing with the loss of Biggie for you in this industry?”
“Bun B, that’s a very tough question because it took me so long — super long to deal with the loss of a person who was such a huge impact in my life,” said Kim of The Notorious B.I.G.’s death on March 9, 1997.
Kim revealed that, for the first time, she will celebrate on the anniversary of Big’s death at club Glazz in Queens, New York.
“That’s my first event ever on March 9 because I used to get offered events a lot and I said ‘no,’ ” she explained. “I never celebrate that day. It’s so funny because I can always feel when that day is approaching. I get so depressed. I get so sad. It happens before March, in February. I can feel it coming and I used to all say ‘no.’
“So to answer Bun B, I’m just now getting over that fact, and it’s how many years later,” she said.
SOURCE: {HIPHOPWIRED} Soulja Boy is mad about MTV’s Hottest MCs In The Game list. He’s stuck between wanting to write the whole thing off, and hoping he lands on it next year.
Tweeting out his feelings earlier today, the Atlanta rapper called out everybody involved (in all caps).”THAT NEW MTV LIST IS SOME BULLSH-T. IT HAS NO CREDITABILITY [sic] AND THE JUDGE PANEL HAD NO PASSION.” he wrote. “IT WAS FIXED AND BIASED. NEXT YEAR THO.”
How he can blast MTV and then hope to be on their good side with a single tweet is beyond us, but as we’ve been reporting all week, rappers have really been up in arms about their position on the countdown–or lack thereof.
Kanye West was upset about being No. 7, and announced to the world that he gifted Sway Calloway with his “first TV,” which looked to be about 15 years old, and didn’t even have a remote. Similarly, A$AP Rocky believed that he should’ve been bumped up, and Pusha T just lost it. “I blacked out on a whole crew by myself,” he said during a call to BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Semtex about learning that he wasn’t even on the list. “I don’t belong on no list? And I’m talking ’bout everybody, I blacked out on peoples’ favorites! I had MCs denouncing their fan base, coming back with records talking ’bout, “Well as long as my chicks love me.”
As for the real king of the list, MTV awarded that prize to Kendrick Lamar. He responded pretty well to the whole thing.
SOURCE: {HIPHOPDX} 50 Cent laments the change in direction the Hip Hop game has taken.
Many have opined that what is now popular in Hip Hop has changed. In a recent interview, 50 Cent revealed he’s of that school of thought as well.
“I think you miss the things when they’re gone. When you look around and see it’s turned into this little hipster thing, the culture’s not even what it was, initially,” said Fif in an interview with HYPETRAK. “You start to look for something that’s representation of what it was in the past, that you actually loved about it or you what you actually enjoyed. It turned into a fashion show for a little while.”
“Artists are writing about fashion and that part’s like, it’s crazy, that part was never a core of the actual art,” continued Fif, possibly referring to artists such as Kanye West and A$AP Rocky, two fashion aficionados. “It was so many different [things]. You had to offer different walks, different perspectives. Your album was supposed to be better than the other guy’s album. The competitive portion. That’s why so often you got involved in battling, they called it beefing. They changed the terminology to beefing after Biggie and Tupac, but these guys aren’t Biggie and Tupac.”
SOURCE: {HIPHOPDX} Pusha T continues to taunt YMCMB, saying he “blacked out” on the crew.
Tensions have been mounting between Pusha T and members of YMCMB over the past year. Now, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper and Clipse alum has taken another jab at Lil Wayne’s crew.
In a recent interview with DJ Semtex via You Heard That New, Pusha Ton discussed MTV’s “Hottest MCs in the Game,” saying that he’s not upset that he was not included on the list. Regardless, he does believe the fact that he single-handedly “blacked out” onthe YMCMB camp during 2012 warrants some form of distinction.
“I’m not out of my mind over the list, but I think I’ve had a stellar year. When you look at what I did this year, I did some incredible things,” he explained. “There’s not a record bigger than ‘Mercy’ – what, 25 weeks at number one? Twenty-five weeks at number one, and I was on that. The ‘Don’t Like’ record? That was definitely a club favorite…’New God Flow,’ that probably might be the Hip Hop record of the year.”
He continued, “Let’s just look at what I did to people out here: I blacked out on a whole crew [YMCMB] all year. All year long, I blacked out on a whole crew by myself, all year long. Nobody stood next to me and blacked out with me; I blacked out on a whole crew by myself. Like, I don’t belong on no list? And I’m talking about everybody, I blacked out on peoples’ favorites…I had emcees denouncing their fan base, denouncing their fan base and coming back with records talking about, ‘As long as my chicks love me.’ I did that…I don’t belong on no list? It’s cool, I’ve just got to work harder.”
Recently, Pusha discussed his on-going feud with Drake, saying that he’s “ready for anything and anybody.” He is also working on his G.O.O.D. Music solo debut My Name is My Name, due out later this year.
SOURCE: (AllHipHop News) The $4 million dollar Atlantic City branch of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club is closed for good according to the Press of Atlantic City.
The local publication reports that the upscale sports bar shut it’s doors back in October when its lease ended. That was the same month that Hurricane Sandy hit the Atlantic City area, and as a result the club experienced significant water damage.
“There was a big hole in the roof as well,” stated the club’s spokesman Ron Berkowitz. “With the end of the lease and with Sandy, we decided we had a good run, and it was time to move on.”
Since opening in October of 2005, the 40/40 Club had been become a major site in A.C. for hosting parties and events that catered to Hip-Hop crowds. Some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment like Beyoncé, Terrell Owens, and Nicki Minaj were seen at the venue.
The Atlantic City 40/40 did receive some bad press in 2009 when video footage of bouncers allegedly beating two men outside the club surfaced online. DJ Fah D, who did a one year residency at the nightspot in 2011, told the Press of Atlantic City that the crowds at 40/40 decreased after the incident took place.
While the Atlantic City 40/40 location will no longer be available the two New York City sites (West 25th Street in Manhattan, Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn) are still open.
The Manhattan 40/40 recently underwent a $10 million dollar renovation, and its grand reopening in January of 2012 was a star-studded event attended by Spike Lee, Swizz Beatz, C.C. Sabathia, Selita Ebank, and billionaire investor Warren Buffet among others.
Why wouldn’t the overly dedicated Kendrick Lamar be concerned with his position in the rap game?
With his guest verse on A$AP Rocky‘s “1 Train,” K-Dot made it clear that playing second fiddle was of no interest to him. “If I’m not the hottest, than hell must’ve froze over,” he spit in a poignant and measured tone.
Well, someone tell Kendrick that the underworld is still intact because the Compton, California, native has just been crowned the Hottest MC in the Game by MTV’s Hip-Hop Brain Trust.
“I think when it’s all said and done, Kendrick Lamar is going to be an important voice of his generation,” said MTV News Senior Hip Hop Writer Rob Markman.
K-Dot earned the #1 spot in a unanimous decision, while 2 Chainz landed in the #2 slot. While both MCs made indelible marks in the last year, it was Kendrick’s artistry and commercial appeal that helped him earn the title. Lyrically, Lamar is an expert spitter who weaves complex rhyme patterns around soul-drenched beats, with as unique a style as rap has seen in years. And while verbal depth isn’t usually a marker for rap success, the Compton rapper moved major units when he dropped his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city.
SOURCE:(AllHipHop News) Apparently femcee Lil Kim is sick and tired of talking about rap rival Nicki Minaj. Kim called into the Hot 97′s The Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg Show this week to introduce her new artist Tiffany Foxx, but the second question Rosenberg asked Kim was about Minaj.
“Let me tell you something. I’m about to shut you down right now,” Kim directs at Rosenberg. “This is about Tiffany Foxx. And this about I.R.S., Queen Bee.”
Rosenberg tried to defend his question saying that he most likely would have faced criticism for not bringing up the subject, but Kim gave the radio host some advice on how to handle his possible critics.
“You don’t have to succumb to the bullshit,” says Kim. “I’m not going to sit here and keep talking about it.”
Rosenberg then offered to mediate the long-standing feud between the two female rap stars.
“I’m going to bring everyone together,” says Rosenberg.
“What? No you’re not. You don’t even believe that yourself,” responds Kim. “You don’t even like her. So stop it.”
Rosenberg had an infamous spat with Minaj in 2012. After Rosenberg made comments about her song “Starships” at Hot 97′s Summer Jam, Minaj and the rest of Young Money pulled themselves from the show.
In the interview, Kim then goes on to scold Rosenberg for trying to create tension between female rappers instead of focusing on their talents.
“This is the reason why females can’t do this. You have a nice shot at helping to introduce somebody who is a new artist and very special,” says Kim. “And you wanna bring in some mess. Don’t do that.”
Tiffany Foxx has been working with Lil Kim for several months. The St. Louis native recently released the video for her song “Twisted” featuring a verse from Lil Kim and an appearance by pop singer Miley Cyrus. “Twisted” is off Foxx’s debut mixtape Yellow Tape.
Lil Kim and Tiffany Foxx continued their media tour yesterday when they stopped by MTV’s RapFix Live. Kim talked about getting over the death of Notorious B.I.G., missing the opportunity to appear on Sisqó’s “Thong Song,” and he new business relationship with former Chairman and CEO of EMI Records Charles Koppelman. Foxx ended the showfreestyling along with Black Star emcee Talib Kweli.
You can watch footage of the full Hot 97 interview and Foxx’s new video for “Twisted” below.

According to New York Post Page Six, Kanye West’s baby mother was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday following her return.
An anonymous insider claims the Keeping Up With The Kardashian media mogul was experiencing complications before her plane even touched down in Los Angeles:
“Kim started feeling ill on the plane from Paris, and called friends as soon as she landed,” an insider said. “She was rushed to her doctor Tuesday night in tears. She thought she was having a miscarriage.”

SOURCE: {HIPHOPWIRED} Last night, Nate Robinson stunted on every sneaker head in the world. The Bulls point guard hit the court rocking a pair of Nike Air Yeezy 2s.
Robinson started the game against the Los Angelese Spurs wearing the black and solar red colorway of Kanye West’s signature shoe, but he didn’t keep them on them for long though. By the start of the 2nd quarter, he switched kicks in favor of a pair of white and red Air Jordan 12 retros. The Bulls were also rocking a special Latino themed jerseys that switched out the “Bulls” lettering for “Los Bulls.” Actually, “Los Toros” would be more accurate, but that wasn’t our call.
Most civilians wouldn’t dare rock their Yeezy’s 2 to hoop in considering it sold at retail for $250 and quickly sold out. You can be find a pair at Flight Club for a resale price of almost $3,000 or head on over to eBay and drop about $2,000 for a pair.
