Minaj is said to have earned $2 million for doing the show coming from Unitel which is a company there that is controlled by Angolas president, Jose Eduardo dos Santos. The activist wrote to Nicki pleading with her to not perform the show “The payment you are receiving from your Angolan sponsors is the result of government corruption and human-rights violations,” the letter said. The president is one of the most corrupt in the world and has been in that position of power since 1979 and while he sits there will a wealth of $20 billion most people live in poverty with a life expectancy of only 41 years old.
