E-40 continues to nurture his status as a legend in the world of hip hop with the release of The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2, a collaborative effort featuring an eclectic group of artists spanning all genres and ages.
The San Francisco area rapper completed his 26th and 27th albums with a culmination of an unheard of 42 full length tracks. The deluxe editions come with the additional tracks “Slappin” featuring Nef The Pharaoh and D.R.A.M. and “Petty” featuring Kamaiyah.
The singles from The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2 include the track “On One”, a banger collaboration with Compton’s AD and “Savage” with Jazze Pha and B-Legit. Other tracks on the albums include featured guest appearances from Gucci Mane, G-Eazy, Eric Bellinger, Rick Rock, Mozzy, Jay Rock, Kid Ink and Lil B.
The Bay Area icon is rumored to be preparing a massive rollout for the two-part double-disc album. Celebrating his more than 20 year career in the rap game, the diverse 42 planned tracks are a pinnacle moment for E-40 and span regional and generational audiences.
“What’s happening at this point in my career defies logic,” E-40 says in a press release. “I still spit the realest and rawest sh*t of anyone in the rap game right now. The D-Boy Diary will lace the unlaced, will tutor the truant — it’s a guidebook for a street life.”
