Nicki Lum-Davis and Trisha Lum claimed they pithed a show Hip Hop Wives to VH1 in 2009 and was given approval to move forward with the show. VH1 passed on the show it was because of it similarly to Basketball Wives, Nicki and Trisha claims that the show they pitched was used to create Love & Hip Hop but a judge tossed the lawsuit out he did not find the shows similar.
