Don Toliver Reveals ‘Life of a Don’ Release Date

Don Toliver is ready for his sophomore album Life of a Don.

The highly-anticipated project is set to arrive Friday, Oct. 8 and is now available for pre-order. He shared the cover art and a trailer, which features the unreleased track “Xscape.” He has yet to unveil the tracklist, but the album will include the singles “What You Need” and his Kali Uchis collaboration, “Drugs N Hella Melodies.”

In a recent interview with W magazine, he revealed that he rented out a house in Miami’s Venetian Islands to work on the album and flew out some of his favorite producers to record with him.

“I’ve had some crazy records, stuff in the chamber, a lot of good music I’d been holding on to that will be on this album,” he told the magazine. “Life of a Don gives you insight into what I have going on right now. And that sound is really just how I feel. It’s the soundtrack of my life, and it’s coming from a new feeling.”

The Cactus Jack signee is currently traveling across the country on his “Life of a Don” tour, which wraps Oct. 30 in Los Angeles. He will also perform at fall festivals including Travis Scott’s Astroworld, Day N Vegas, and Rolling Loud.

Life of a Don marks the follow-up to his 2020 debut Heaven or Hell, which opened at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and featured appearances from Travis Scott, Quavo, Offset, and Sheck Wes.

Machine Gun Kelly Fights Fan, Gets Booed at Rock Festival

Machine Gun Kelly is keeping his fighting spirit alive.

While performing at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday (Sept. 25), the rapper-turned-rocker was booed and even threw a punch at a fan who tried to confront him.

In video footage, obtained by Consequence, MGK can be seen on stage as the crowd boos loudly and holds up their middle fingers. At one point, MGK made his way to the photo pit and was charged by some fans. One was able to get close enough and push him. MGK came back swinging, but it’s unclear if he landed the punch. Security was eventually able to separate them.

“Half the audience (myself included) left when he took the stage,” commented one festivalgoer, while another one defended him, “Dude was great. Stop hating on new music.”

MGK has been in the headlines for his beef with heavy metal band Slipknot. After Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor criticized MGK’s transition from hip-hop to pop-punk, MGK revealed that Taylor was supposed to feature on his album Tickets to My Downfall, but he didn’t use his verse.

“corey did a verse for a song on tickets to my downfall album, it was fu**ing terrible, so i didn’t use it,” tweeted MGK. “he got mad about it, and talked shit to a magazine about the same album he was almost on.”

Following Taylor’s response, MGK dissed him again during his set at Riot Fest in Chicago. “You all want to know what I’m happy that I’m not doing? Being 50 years old wearing a fu**ing weird mask on the fu**ing stage,” he said.

Earlier in the month, the “Bloody Valentine” singer also had a run-in with Conor McGregor at the MTV Video Music Awards. During their red-carpet confrontation, the UFC champ allegedly threw his drink at MGK and later called him a “vanilla boy rapper.”

21 Savage Turns Himself in to Police in Connection with Immigration Case

21 Savage turned himself in to local authorities on allegations of drug and weapons possession in connection with a 2019 immigration incident when officials arrested him.

According to Buzzfeed, he was released on bond Thursday evening.

The rapper, born She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was initially taken into the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers on Feb. 3, 2019. He was later released on bond after his arrest gained international attention.

The government has pursued his deportation on the grounds that he overstayed his visa after coming from the U.K. at the age of 7.

Earlier this month, a warrant was issued for his arrest on suspicion of felony drug possession and weapons possession in Dekalb County.

His attorneys claim that he was not aware of the warrant, which was sought Sept. 7, until Thursday.

The warrant alleges that during a stop on the evening of his ICE arrest, the rapper threw out a bottle of liquid that later tested positive for codeine. A handgun was also reportedly found inside the car.

“The warrant appears to have been sought at the behest of ICE, as the warrant was issued in the eve of an Immigration Court hearing in Mr. Joseph’s deportation proceeding, and is based upon events that transpired on the evening that ICE arrested Mr. Joseph over 2 and one half years ago,” said Charles Kuck, who represents 21 Savage in his immigration case.

A hearing on his immigration status is scheduled for Nov. 1. Kuck said ICE officials refuse to terminate the case.

21 Savage is expected to join J. Cole on “The Off-Season Tour,” which kicks off tonight in Miami.

Eminem Unleashes ‘Killer (Remix)’ with Jack Harlow & Cordae


Eminem reloads with a cold-blooded remix to his song “Killer” featuring two of hip-hop’s brightest stars.

Jack Harlow and Cordae link up with Slim Shady on the d.a. got that dope-produced track (“Godzilla”).

The “WHATS POPPIN” rapper, who grew up idolizing Eminem, pays homage to his idol. “I used to rock a toboggan, headphones around my neck tryna be like Shady,” he raps, while Cordae holds his own alongside the Rap God.

Em finishes it off with a lethal verse on which he references Lil Wayne (“Bitch, I go harder than Carter III“) and Cardi B (“She got a body and bottom like Cardi B”).

“Killer” initially appeared on Side B, the deluxe edition of Eminem’s chart-topping album Music to Be Murdered By, which dropped in December with 16 brand new tracks.

The Detroit rapper may have even more music on the way. Earlier this week, video director Cole Bennett stirred speculation of an Eminem and Post Malone collaboration with a cryptic Instagram post.

Lil Durk Pays Homage to Kanye West in ‘Kanye Krazy’ Video

Fresh off the release of The Voice (Deluxe), Lil Durk is going “Kanye Krazy” in his new music video.

In the Cole Bennett-directed clip, which he previously teased on social media, the OTF boss pays homage to his fellow Chicago rapper by recreating his iconic music videos, as well as unforgettable moments from Kanye’s career.

The visual opens with a “Runaway”-inspired scene, with a tuxedo-clad Durk at the piano surrounded by ballerinas, followed by Durk in an enormous boxy costume reminiscent of Kanye’s “I Love It” video. Durk dons a red MAGA-inspired hat that reads “Make America OTF Again” before channeling the Yeezy mogul in the “Bound 2” and “Stronger” videos.

“You ain’t got the answers, Sway,” says Durk while reenacting Kanye’s infamous 2013 interview with Sway.

He even recreates the controversial moment when Ye snatched the mic from Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs. Later, he is joined by a choir for Sunday Service and gets animated in the “Heartless” video. In the final scene, he lays in bed with models in a reenactment of Kanye’s “Famous” video.

“Kanye Krazy” appears on the deluxe edition of Durk’s album The Voice, which dropped today. The 12 additional tracks include appearances from Lil Baby, Pooh Shiesty, and Sydny August.

Birdman Pays The Rent For Hundreds Of New Orleans Residents

(AllHipHop News) Cash Money’s Bryan “Birdman” Williams has a heart made out of platinum.

The Big Tymer has made one of the most thoughtful gestures that someone could make during these tough times. He has offered to pay the rent for some folk hit hard by the devasting coronavirus pandemic.

So many people have lost their jobs over the last two months, and if you consider how deadly COVID-19 has been in New Orleans — the impact will be felt for years as children are left parentless, people will have irreconcilable injuries from being sick and hundreds face homelessness.

Yet Birdman ain’t just gonna sit in his plush mansion with solid gold gates and bedazzling jeweled walkways and have pity on the poor and wretched. He instead cracked open his safe and will pay the rent for the entire month of May for those who reside in the neighborhood he grew up in.

In an Instagram, featuring he and his brother, Slim, Williams captioned:

“I would like 2 offer to pay everybody rent for month of May (for those who in need) in residents area of UPTOWN New Orleans where I was born and raised at from mac melph calio and ST Thomas housing also from 3rd ward to 17th ward.”

He further thanked those supporting him in this quest:

Watch A Behind The Scenes Preview Of Kanye West’s ‘Jesus Is King’ Film

Earlier in the week, Kanye West provided a look into his forthcoming Jesus Is King IMAX film with the official trailer. It didn’t reveal much, but got fans excited anyway. If anything, people seemed happy that the release date is still a go. The film is set to start showing in theatres worldwide on October 25th. Watch the trailer here.

Kanye West to Release ‘Jesus is Lord’ IMAX Film in October

Kanye West’s new album Jesus is King is expected to release any time now as the rap mogul performed a special show in Detroit tonight at the Fox Theater.

West played some songs from the album and other tracks that he usually performs at his Sunday Service shows. Kim Kardashain even revealed an updated tracklist for the album which fans are hoping to hear before they go to sleep on this Friday night. But the wifey broke another piece of news for the fans: Kanye will be releasing his new film Jesus is Lord on IMAX next month.

The exact release date has not been revealed and the details are scarce at the moment but Kim did upload a preview of the film through her Instagram stories. Get a sneak peak of it below.

UPDATE: Kim has also revealed that Jesus is King album will be out on Sunday following listening events in Chicago and NYC on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
