Rapper Twista, bodyguard was shot to death and lit on fire in Chicago South side home

Davy Easterling, a body guard for rapper Twist was found shot to death and lit on fire in a Chicago South side home. Easterling body was found Friday in the 8300 block of South Baker Avenue. Before Twista found out about the death of Easterling, he put a message out on Twitter and Instagram that Easterling his bodyguard and close friend has been missing for 3 days. Firefighter were called to the building at 6 am on Friday. Easterling body was found in the bedroom during a primary search. Chicag |Firefighters said the fire was incendiary meaning that it was started by a person. State records revealed the Easterling has a firearm certificate that allows him to carry a gun as a security guard. On Saturday Twista sent out “RIP Dave Easterling aka 6’9 I have lost too many good friends to these streets”. For two decades Twista has represented Chicago in his music.

DMX blames ex-wife Tashera for foreclosure on home

DMX house in Fancy Mt. Kisco, New York is in foreclosure. The house is in the rappers name but he stopped living there in 2005 and he stopped paying the mortgage in 2008. Tasherea decide to take over the financial responsibilities related to the house including the mortgage. DMX say “his estrange wife is suffering from delusion. She insist on living in a house she can not afford”. DMX told her “she is living above her means, that you can’t still live on the same block at Martha Stewart and Chevy Chase you gotta downgrade. She refused to do so because the house is in my name. She doesn’t give a f**k about my credit”. During his time in jail Tashera withdrew $100,000 from DMX account without his permisson. She did not even use the money to pay the mortgage. DMX wants his ex to care about his credit, but he did not care enough about her to use condoms when he was making all the kids without her. DMX do not pay child support too often, maybe the $100,000 was used to take care of his four children who he stopped caring about.

Fatburger come to Crenshaw with custom uniforms from Nipsey Hussle

On Monday February 24th Fatburger opened up a restaurant in Crenshaw. Rapper Nipsey Hussle who is also from Crenshaw decided to welcome all the employees with open armed and a one of a kind uniform. Nipsey who has a hip hop apparel clothing line called Marathon Clothing which also contains a Crenshaw Collection decided to bring his clothing brand and Fatburger logo together. He told MTV News “fatburger being an iconic brand in LA our core values aligned. We had an idea to co-brand the Crenshaw collection from the Marathon Clothing with Fatburger logo”.

The black shirt has classic Fatburger logo on the left chest with Nipsey Crenshaw logo directly under it. A bigger logo appears on the back. Fatburger is happy about the new clothing. Fatburger coordinator Mark Webster issued a statement to MTV New saying “he’s (NIpsey) a staple and pillar in this community and the Crenshaw Fatburger family is thrilled to have him be a part of this. Just months ago Nipsey released his Crenshaw CD and sold each one for $100. He is a formidable MC with a creative business mind.

Terrance Davidson (Wig guru) is suing Nicki Minaj for $30 million

Terrance Davidson is suing Minaj for wigging out on a deal, allegedly stealing his wig design and potentially caused him to lose out on a reality show deal. According to the complaint file in district court in Atlanta. Terrance started working for Minaj in 2010 as her hair stylist. He would create wigs for her to wear during her appearances. During this time Minaj was steadily building her fan base by guess appearing on mix tapes. She quickly became know as the first lady of Young Money the label she worked under. Minaj also became well known for her since of style. Sporting wigs ranging from pink to platinum blonde. Davidson and his attorney talk to CNN about how his influence on crafting Minaj image. Ludacris wants full custody of his 2 month old daughter Cai Bridges because he feel the child mother Tamika Fuller is unfit. Ludacris say he is an active father to his 12 year old daughter meaning he will be an active father to his new child. Not only do he want custody but he also wants Tamika to pay child support. It been reported that Tamika has asked a judge to have Ludacris pay her $15,000 a month in child support. There is a rumor that Tamika is being evicted from her apartment and she planned on moving back to California. Ludacris himself say ” that the lack of movement for Fast & Furious 7 has dried up his income”. For the time being, Tamika still has her daughter and is receiving $7,000 a month in child support. Stevie J Has Been Serve A Subpoena Because He Owes Over $1,000,000 In Unpaid Child Support.

On February 13, Stevie J of Love and Hip Hop was served a Subpoena to appear in family court due to unpaid child support of over $1 million for two of his children. Steven Jordan (Stevie J) has to appear in a New York Family Court room on February 25 because he did not obey a support order date January 10, 2012. Over the course of 14 years, Stevie J owe $1.28 million in child support. He has only paid $132,220.30 If he do not show up for court, an arrest warrant will be issue by the state of New York. When her appears in court, 42 year old Stevie J must present proof of income, assets and income tax return. According to a story release in October 2013, Stevie J has not taken any steps to satisfy his unpaid child support. Every month the amount owe increases by $8,550. On February 5 Stevie J open a new bar called Sleazy & Zino Bistro which is located in Atlanta. That is where the Subpoena was served.

50 Cent finally release details of his new deal with Caroline/Capitol/UMG. 50 compares his new deal with the deal Birdman Cash Money Record has with Universal Music Group. Birdman Cash Money only give 7% of wholesale per album to Universal in exchange for support and distribution. With the new deal, 50 also has creative control over his release of new music and video. Under contract, 50 still owes Interscope Records one more record. Because of his relationship with Interscope powerhouse Dr. Dre and Eminem, 50 was able to leave Interscope without making the record of paying any money. Record company usually never let an artist leave the company without fill fulling their contract. 50 say “I’m a special case and situation. It’s also because of the leverage of having the strong relationship with Eminem and Dr Dre. They don’t want me to be uncomfortable. They value our friendship to the point that they would never want (to jeopardize) it over that little bit of money”. 50 Cent is probably the biggest independent Hip Hop Artist.

The Game and Kendrick Lamar are locked into the worst deal in the industry say Suge Knight. The two rapper who are from Compton has contracts with Interscope Records. Suge Knight talked about the shady business deal of Interscope Records on the Arsenio Hall Show. There are several benefactor who get paid before The Game. Music group Universal is the ship they get the first cut, then Aftermath gets their cut, the G-Unit gets their cut, then the guy who really signed The Game gets there cut. Knight claims the person who put 26 year old Lamar deal together get a portion of his earning in addition to Interscope and other label related payees.

During his 12 year with Shady/Aftermath/Interscope he release Get Rich or Die Trying, The Massacre, Curtis and Before I Self Destruct. All those album will continue to be marketed and sold by Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. In a statement, 50 Cent thanks Dr. Dre and Eminem for giving him an incredible opportunity. 50 Cent said “he learned so much from them through the years”. The two rappers run Aftermath and Shady Records. In 2012 50 Cent was not happy with his label. He said “i have lost all faith in the team i am on”. 50 Cent is now an independent artist.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Crenshaw mix-tape creator Nipsey Hussles. Nipsey failed to show up last week at a pretrial hearing for a 2012 suspended license. Since Nipsey who is currently on tour did not show up for court an arrest warrant was issued. Nipsey was scheduled to perform at Hollywood’s House of Blues Sunset Strip. The show has been cancelled.
