Game Offers To Pay Fines For Pants-Sagging Citations

gamesagging

The first five people to get ticketed for broadcasting their boxers can look to Game to cover their fine, as he reminds folks he’s a “sagging Sagittarius.”

Rapper Game loves a good publicity stunt. The Compton, California multi-platinum rapper once bet Bow Wow $85,000 over a game of Maddenmoney he later won. This was two years after Game was filmed stealing a basketball rim from mentor-turned-nemesis’ 50 Cent’s mansion. More recently, Game and his entourage filmed a fight outside of a mansion of the crew beating up 50 associate and another enemy, 40 Glocc.

[expand title=”More MBiz” tag=”h2″]

Now Game is offering to use his headline-grabbing antics for good. The Geffen Records star, known for sagging his pants, recently was solicited for his thoughts on Wildwood, New Jersey’s forthcoming anti-pants-sagging law, which is to be enacted next month. Phillebrity reports that Game, from across the country, weighed in on the new ordinance.

“I am with the sagging movement,” Game told TMZ.com. “[The] first five people to get fines, I will pay their tickets … I will go there and sag cause I am a sagging Sagittarius.”

He elaborated that he feels the ordinance is a veiled form of government control. “Niggas should sag down to their socks out there. They trying to get people to not sag, please. Can’t tell people how to wear their fucking clothes. What time are we in? This ain’t the fucking slave days. Fuck that.”

One of Game’s Black Wall Street affiliates, Nu Jerzey Devil, hails from the Garden State.

Kanye West in Trouble for “We get this b*tch shaking like Parkinson’s” Lyric

kanye-cs

Yeezus is Kanye West’s most polarizing album ever and has parted the sea divided people on their perceptions of the album. Some believe it is brilliant, others, such as the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) find some of the lyrics reprehensible.

On the album opening song “On Sight”, Kanye boasts he’ll “get this b*tch shaking like Parkinson’s” to the chagrin of the APDA. The Vice President of  the APDA sent out a message to Kanye about his lyric:

“We find these lyrics distasteful and the product of obvious ignorance.”

First Listen: A Snippet Of A NEW Eminem Song Hits The Internets

Eminem-Almost_Quit-hhdx

So … Kanye West just this week released his new album Yeezusjust a couple of days after Jay-Z announced to the world that he is releasing a new album titled Magna Carta Holy Grail early next month … which means that Ye and Jay have got the lock on the biggest rap music releases this year … right? Not necessarily. A minute and a half long snippet of a new song by Eminem titledSymphony in H has made its way to the Internets today. Click below to get your first listen of this portion of the new track and find out when we’ll be able to hear the song in full.

[expand title=”More MBiz” tag=”h2″]

Shady’s back. Eminem has dropped his first new music in some years, releasing 90 seconds of a track called “Symphony In H.” The tune charters familiar territory for the 40-year-old Detroit rapper — it’s full of venom, vigour and some violent imagery. The snippet premiered on DJ Tony Touch’s Shade 45 show … The full song is expected to appear on Tony Touch’s upcoming mixtape, “The Piece Maker 3: Return of the 50 MCs, which is due July 9. Still, there’s no word on precisely when Eminem’s next album will arrive. In an interview with MTV last August, the artist admitted he had “just started” on a new album. In a Billboard exclusive earlier this year, Shady president Paul Rosenberg gave an update. Eminem, he said, was “far into the process” of recording his eighth studio album, which would arrive after “Memorial Day.” It’s been three years since Eminem released a solo album, 2010′s “Recovery.” That album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and yielded the hit “Love the Way You Lie,” featuring Rihanna, which topped the Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks. Along the way to “Recovery,” he’s earned six Billboard 200 No. 1s, four Hot 100 No. 1s and countless awards.

It’s quite possible that Em could come out of nowhere in the next couple of months and just drop a brand new album on us … which would mean that he would be going head to head to head with Kanye and Jay-Z for rap supremacy 2013. I’m still loving the hell out of Kanye‘s Yeezus album so it’s going to be tough to take my attention away … but I know that there are hordes of Eminem fans out there just waiting for his musical return. We’ll have to wait and see how long after Symphony in H is released on July 9 it will take for more newEminem music to invade the world. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Arrest Warrant Issued For Chief Keef In Miami!

chief_keef

It looks like Chicago police aren’t the only task force who have been keeping a close tab on Chief Keef as of late.

According to WGNtv, a warrant Chief Keef’s arrest has been issued in Miami following an incident in 2012. The 17-year-old rapper was pulled over and caught with two bags of marijuana on his person.

[expand title=”More MBiz” tag=”h2″]

The officer who originally arrested Keef said that the Chicago rapper immediately admitted his possession of the drugs, and was ultimately charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Following the charge, a Miami judge ordered that Keef return to Florida for a hearing on January 23, 2013—the same time he was serving a two month sentence in a juvenile detention center in Illinois. As a result of the missed court date, a warrant for Keef’s arrest has been issued if he were to be stopped by police a second time in the Miami area.

This marks the latest issue in the GBE impresario’s on-going legal saga. Earlier this week, he was arrested for a third time this year for trespassing on the same day that he was served with a second paternity lawsuit.

Drake Says A Chris Brown Sit-Down Is “Not Going To Happen”

GQDrake2013

Drake also explains to “GQ” magazine how he’s “living the truth” in his “Started From The Bottom” single.

Drake is the cover subject of the July 2013 issue of GQmagazine. In the story, reportedly named “How To Drake It In America,” the YMCMB artist discusses Chris Brown, with whom he reportedly brawled in New York in June 2012. The two artists were supposedly bickering overRihanna, whom they have both dated. In March, Brown dissed Drake on Young Jeezy’s “RIP” remix.

[expand title=”More MBiz” tag=”h2″]

“I hear he has everything he could want now,” Drake says of Brown in the interview. “I don’t want my name to be synonymous with that guy’s name. I really don’t. I wish we could sit down just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that’s not going to happen. I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down. If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly…Like, it gets really dark.”

Elsewhere in the GQ interview, Drake does not give a release date for his forthcoming Nothing Was The Same album, which will likely feature the single “Started From The Bottom.” “I think a lot of people wish their favorite rapper wrote it—as if a song like that should be gangster—but I was the one who wrote it, and everyone has their bottom,” Drake says of the single. “As for my whole story, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’ve told bits and pieces of it—and I’ll tell more. Maybe because I had friends who grew up in the hood, I could have acted like I had, too, and perpetrated a different lifestyle, and it would be eating away at me because it wouldn’t be the truth. I’m actually here in front of you living the truth. I wake up int he morning and my heart is light, man. It’s not heavy. I don’t have skeletons in the closet on their way out. This is my real age, my real name, my real past, and I’m good with that.”

In February, Drake wrote on his October’s Very Own blog that people have tried to make up stories about his background since they didn’t have enough information about it. “My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen,” Drake wrote.

In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX in March, producer Boi-1da said that he and Drake worked in a rat-infested studio, among other things, during the beginning of their careers.

Editor’s Note: At GQ‘s request, this story, published yesterday afternoon, was removed until made available by the publication online today. The magazine has separately published Drake’s 2013 GQphoto-shoot.

J. Cole Says Jay-Z Didn’t Pit Him Against Kanye West

kanye-west-j_-cole

J. Cole says that Jay-Z called his move to release an album the same day as Kanye West “brave.” J. Cole also discusses finding a sponsor for his “Dollar & A Dream Tour.”

[expand title=”More MBiz” tag=”h2″]

J. Cole released his Born Sinner album today (June 18), the same day Kanye West dropped his Yeezus LP. Both artists are affiliated with Jay-Z, but J. Cole says that Jay-Z wasn’t behind the two rappers releasing material on the same day.

“He just respected it,” J. Cole says during an interview with DJ Drama. “He thought it was like courageous. He thought it was a brave move. That was it. He wasn’t pitting me against him like, ‘Yeah, let me get my two artists [to release albums on the same day].’ Nah. He was just like, ‘Yo. That’s brave. You can’t lose,’ is what he was saying. Nobody even expects me to really win that day, in terms of sales, and that’s not really what it was about to begin with. It was about putting my name in the hat in terms of the music. You might have to make a decision. You might love both. You might love his. You might hate my album, but you’re not going to. But it’s forcing you to make a decision on which album [you’re going to prefer]. I’m just putting my name in the hat. That’s it.”

DJ Drama x J. Cole from Sil ‘Spike Jordan’ Beyah on Vimeo.

Last month, J. Cole said that he wanted to wanted to compete with West, which is why he moved the release date of Born Sinner to June 18. It was originally slated for a June 25 release.

During his DJ Drama interview, J. Cole also discussed the motivation behind his “Dollar & A Dream Tour,” a 10-city outing that features him charging $1 for concert tickets. The jaunt’s next stop is scheduled for June 20 in Washington, D.C. “I want to go perform just the classic joints,” J. Cole says. “I didn’t want to have to worry about doing the singles. [But] I do ‘Power Trip,’ definitely.”

Despite the buzz surrounding Born Sinner, J. Cole says that getting a sponsor for the tour wasn’t easy. “We actually did reach out to mad brands at first,” he says. “People don’t want to spend that money, so D’USSE did.” D’USSE is a cognac.

Lil Wayne: “[The hood was] The Only America I Knew”, Addresses Stomping American Flag

twitter-liltunechi-i-didnt-step-on-the-flag-on

Lil Wayne caused a stir when images surfaced of Lil Wayne stepping on the America flag at a recent video shoot for his song “God Bless Amerika”

The Young Money CEO took to social media to do some much needed damage control and attests that he was not stomping on the American flag but instead participating in a camera trick:

[expand title=”More MBiz” tag=”h2″]

It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America. I was shooting a video for a song off my album entitled “God Bless Amerika”. The clip that surfaced on the Internet was a camera trick clip that revealed that behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground.

While Wayne admits to not disrespecting the American flag he also elucidates on the deeper social context of the scene in which the controversial flag stomping incident occurred:

In most people eyes including my own who were raised in that environment, the Hood is the only America they know and the only America I knew growing up. I was fortunate from my God giving talents to escape the Hood and see the other beautiful places this country has to offer but most people who are born in that environment don’t get that chance. That’s their view of their America. That was Dwayne M Carter from Hollygrove New Orleans view of America. That’s who I’m speaking for in this song.

Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs Hit With Eviction Notice

flavor-flav-released

Flavor Flav’s third and last Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs could soon shut its doors due to non-payment of rent.

Famed Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav’s hopes of owning a successful chain of fast food restaurants, fittingly titled Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs, are beginning to crumble with the last remaining restaurant now facing eviction.

[expand title=”More MBiz” tag=”h2″]

TMZ reports that the former reality star was recently handed eviction papers for the Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs location in Sterling Heights, Michigan. But according to Flav, who reportedly owes his landlord $25,000, he was unaware of his restaurant’s rent situation.

“I’m gonna figure out what’s going on and get to the bottom of this ASAP,” he revealed to TMZ.

Court documents in the matter show that the locations $3,500 monthly rent payment was late in both September and October and was not received in December and the months following.

Previous Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs locations in Iowa and Nevada were closed in 2011 and 2012. It’s unclear when exactly the restaurant will face eviction, although the landlord is hoping for an immediate move.

Kanye Exonerated; Groupie Admits To Lying

kanye-west-and-leyla-ghobadi

A Canadian model now admits she lied on Mr. West after saying that the rapper cheated on girlfriend Kim Kardashian with her.

Leyla Ghobadi was paid a reported $20,000 for giving the Star and exclusive scoop that said Kanye was cheating. Now, she has changed her story in a new interview with the UK Sun paper. The initial story broke Wednesday of this week.

[expand title=”More MBiz” tag=”h2″]

She admits to a tryst but says it was before Kanye met Kim Kardashian.

“I was introduced to him at the Montreal concert. We met backstage as I knew members of his band. We ended up having sex at the Thompson Hotel,” she told the The Sun. “He then flew some friends and I out to Toronto for his two concerts in the next two days. We had sex again there. This was all before Kim Kardashian and he never spoke about her. But what I do know is that Kanye is a Romeo — he can never be trusted.”

Ghobadi initially said that she and Kanye had discussed Kim.
“He told me . . . he wanted to ‘hook up,’ but I was concerned that he was seeing Kim Kardashian,” she had told Star magazine. “He told me that [their relationship] was for publicity and nothing serious.”

Despite her admitted contractions and lies, she maintains that she knows Kanye’s ways.

“He will never be faithful to one girl and has women falling at his feet all the time,” she continued to the Sun.

She also claims that Kanye tried to reach out to her through his bodyguards.

Kanye denied the allegations from the beginning. A rep for the rapper/producer said, “This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It’s a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible ‘news’ sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives.”
