Welcome to Kasa Kim and Kanye!

A source confirms to omg! that parents-to-be Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have plunked down $11 million for a sprawling mansion in gated Bel Air, California, just six months before they’re set to get a visit from the stork. TMZ reports that the couple purchased the 10,000-square-foot residence weeks ago – before the world knew about their baby news – and immediately began renovating it, giving it an extra 4,000-square-feet of space.

“It’s so exciting for them,” a source tells People. “The house is gorgeous. And they really wanted and needed the privacy.”

The new home is not only safely tucked away from prying eyes, but it’s also a good 15 miles away from Calabasas, where Kardashian’s momager, Kris Jenner, lives with husband Bruce Jenner and their two teen daughters. Although the distance may not seem far, in L.A. traffic that could translate to quite a drive.

Buying a home together is a big deal! Last May, not long after they first started dating, the rapper moved into Kardashian’s abode and put his three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath Hollywood Hills home on the market for $3.995 million. A month later, that same pad was robbed while West, 35, was on tour in England. According to real estate site, Zillow.com, it never sold and was likely taken off the market.

Since then, whenever the two are both on the West Coast, they’ve been shacking up under Kardashian’s roof … just like Kris Humphries did until they split in October 2011 after 72 days of marriage. The reality mega-star owns a $4.8 million five-bedroom Tuscan-style villa in a gated community in Beverly Hills, which she bought in 2010.

While their dream home is being perfected, the couple is kicking back in Paris. After spending a few days in Miami with her BFF, publicist Jonathan Cheban, Kardashian, 32, skipped the pond and showed up with her baby-daddy in France on Tuesday afternoon. Their first order of business? Shopping! After all, they’re going to need plenty of new things to fill their massive home.

The Parents Television Council Calls On Oxygen To Drop Shawty Lo Reality Show “All My Babies’ Mamas”

all-my-babies-mamas

The controversy surrounding Shawty Lo’s upcoming reality show “All My Babies’ Mamas” has caused such a stir in the United States, that The Parents Television Council is joining the outcry and has called for the show to be canceled.

The organization, which was founded in 1995 to curtail sex and violence aimed at children on television, issued a statement condemning “All My Babies’ Mamas,” which focuses on Shawty Lo’s relationship with his eleven children, whom he fathered with 10 different women.

The Atlanta rapper’s also currently dating a 19-year-old woman on the show, which features mothers with names like “Fighter Baby Mama,” and “No Drama Baby Mama.”

“Every time we think that the television industry couldn’t stoop any lower, sadly one of the networks steps forward to prove us wrong,” said PTC President Tim Winter in a statement “This new project in development at Oxygen is grotesquely irresponsible and exploitive, and we urge the network to cease any further work on it immediately”

The PTC, which has over 1.3 million members, is made up producers, directors, sponsors, with 56 chapters around the country.

The organization claimed Shawty Lo’s show will “undermine children and families” if Oxygen airs the series, which is produced by Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley, the pair behind such shows as “Run’s House,” “TRL,” “The Andy Milonakis Show,” “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF” and many others.

“If Oxygen moves forward with the program, we will be contacting every corporate sponsor that buys advertising time on the Oxygen network to hold them accountable as well,” PTC President Winter threatened.

“Every cable subscriber in the nation should be allowed to pick up the phone and call their cable company to demand that Oxygen be removed from their programming lineup,” Winter further explained. “But because Oxygen is owned by the cable behemoths Comcast and NBCUniversal, every cable subscriber is forced to take – and to pay for – Oxygen as part of a bundle of cable networks, whether they want it or not.”

There has been daily outcry against “All My Babies’ Mamas” since Oxygen released a press release announcing the show in December.

One of several petitions on Change.org already has over 29,862 signatures.

“The PTC is proud to join its voice with a growing chorus of groups and individuals across America who are concerned about the harmful and exploitive messaging of this television project,” concluded Winter.

Mariah Carey & Nicki Minaj Discuss Feud, Minaj Jokes About Sex Tape

nicki_01-09-13

While still disagreeing on some things, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey say some positive things about one another.

The feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey wassparked in 2012. While some time has passed since news of their disagreements made headlines, it seems the two are still not seeing eye to eye on certain things.

“We’re professionals,” Minaj said during a press conference for American Idol, according to ONTD. “Have you ever had an argument with someone you’ve worked with?”

Carey disagreed.

“This was sort of one-sided,” noted Carey.

“No, it wasn’t,” Minaj responded.

However, the two did have positive remarks later.

“I say nice things about Mariah all the time,” Minaj explained. “I tell Mariah all the time how much of a fan I am of her. She’s one of my favorite artists of all time … She’s shaped a generation of singers. It’s kind of crazy to be on a panel with her … I feel excited to see [the contestants] see someone they look up to so much … [and] hear her critique.”

Carey was flattered.

“And that was obviously a very sweet thing to say,” Carey continued. “Nicki and I worked together very early on in her career and did a song from an album I’d done called ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,’ called ‘Up Out My Face,’ ironically … it was one of my favorite videos and songs and I did feel that she was going to go very far, and still have that feeling and am grateful for anything nice that she and anyone else have to say about me.”

According to The Washington Post, their feud continued when Nicki Minaj talked about her “sex tape.”

“I put on my sex tape,” Minaj replied when asked how they were able to reconcile their differences.

“And, there it is,” Carey said, reportedly rolling her eyes, according to The Post. “The whole thing is convoluted. It’s a distraction from the show and a distraction from the contestants.”

At that, the West Coast rapper said that Sababu isn’t even his stepfather and that claiming himself as such is factually incorrect. “Hol up…. Talkin bout he my stepfather ? Bitch, my mama aint never been MARRIED !!! Mad cause I aint loan yo gay ass no $$ #FuckOuttaHere.”

Rapper Freddy E. Tweets About Killing Self Prior To Allegedly Committing Suicide

Freddy E. takes to Twitter before allegedly killing himself.

Tragedy has struck Hip Hop again as rapper and comedian Freddy E. has allegedly committed suicide.

Prior to apparently taking his life, Freddy E. took to Twitter, where he apologized and said he loved a number of people, including his parents. He then revealed he had placed a gun to his head, and hinted that he would take his life.

The Seattle Times confirmed that Freddy E. died of a self-inflicted gunshot. He was 22 years old.

God… please forgive me.

It’s… all… bad… y’all. *puts finger around trigger*

If there’s a God then He’s calling me back home. This barrel never felt so good next to my dome. It’s cold & I’d rather die than live alone.

The family of Freddy E., who was reportedly signed to Tyga’s Last Kings label and dated Honey Cocaine, released the following statement.

“Today, our son, Frederick Eugene Buhl (@freddy_e), age 22 years old, took his own life with a rifle shot to the head. Our family is saddened beyond words; our loss is great; this tragedy is enormous and unforeseen. Not only our family, but the world has lost a talented, sensitive, brilliant young man who lit up our existence with his. We love him a great deal, and he will be sorely missed. We pray that God will now watch over him, and we ask all of you to include Frederick and our entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Tomorrow, Sunday, January 5th, 2013, we will be attending Fred’s Church, First AME, at 12:00 PM in Seattle, WA. You are invited to join us or send your prayers. Fred would appreciate that a great deal.”

Game’s Stepfather Outs Him As A Former Stripper [VIDEO]

GAMEdad

The Game might want to hold an emergency conference call with his stepfather because he just outted the West Coast rapper as an ex-stripper. Hodari Sababu appears in the documentary Hood Life: A Hip Hop Guided Tour of Compton tour, which includes a story of his stepson’s (alleged) stripping past.

In the film, put together by Pitchfork Media, Sababu gives a tour of areas in Compton, like the “stroll” on Long Beach Blvd. After explaining how to differentiate a prostitute who may have HIV/AIDS from a healthy specimen, he delves into the story of opening the strip joint with Game’s mom. “Me and Game’s mom, we started a male exotic club. What we used to do we used to come get guys fresh out of jail, you know they was buffed up and they needed money. A lot of these guys can’t go and fill out an application and get a job, but hey if they look good, they been working out, we put ‘em on. We get ‘em a thousand bucks a week.”

As for Game, his stripping career was short-lived. “Jayceon danced maybe twice, and 50 Cent will not let him forget it. Somehow, somebody got pictures of him dancing  in that club with his g-string on, and boy, boy, boy.”

Sababu goes on to talk about his stepson’s achievements, maintaining that he has no problem telling the story because he’s not on Game’s “payroll.”

Of course the father of three has yet to respond , and being that some of the scenes show his stepfather standing on Hollywood Blvd. behind a sign that says “tours,” his motive  might just be to get publicity.

But either way, a dude making it clap in a g-string isn’t gangsta.  Is it?

Pusha T_01-07-2013

Pusha T talks diss records with DJ Whoo Kid, says he’d be willing to work with Trinidad James.

The beef between both Pusha T and Lil Wayne was again brought up during a recent interview between Pusha and DJ Whoo Kid, as the Virginia rapper touched on the origins of the two’s indifferences.

While speaking on his on-again, off-again feud with the Young Money rapper and also the Ludacris-led diss record “What They Mad At” , Pusha clarified that his diss records at Weezy weren’t released to create any kind of hype. Instead, he explained that the songs he put out were more so a result of him being reactive.

“You gotta remember the position that I’m in,” said Pusha T. “These guys have way more fans than I got. They got tons of fans and so when you make a blanket statement like, ‘Fuck Pusha T,’ – I can’t let things like that just go. And I can’t just let those type of things slide. I’m not gonna be petty. I don’t wanna get in a talking match with these people. If it’s about rap then let’s rap. That’s why I just rap about it. It ain’t nothing to me…I’m petty and I’m spiteful. There’s nothing worse than a person who is petty and spiteful. I’m both! I can admit that to myself.”

Atlanta rap sensation Trinidad James was also brought up during Pusha T’s talk with DJ Whoo Kid and the G.O.O.D. Music emcee shared that he wouldn’t be opposed to working with the rapper in some way.

“I mean listen man; he got a hot record right now. At the end of the day I love that record man. I be in the club and I see the reaction on it and it’s awesome. He definitely knows how to put together a hit record. I’m not opposed to that at all,” Pusha T revealed.

50 Cent and Rick Ross have been feuding since January of 2009, with the most recent altercation taking place during the BET Awards in September.

Members of G-Unit brawled with Maybach Music Group artist Gunplay backstage during the BET Hip-Hop Awards, where the Florida rapper allegedly lost his signature MMG chain.

Since then, 50 Cent has been taunting Rick Ross and Gunplay.

In October, 50 Cent released a video of himself bowling in Atlanta and wearing the chain.

Nicki Minaj Says She’s Scared Of Being “Too Famous”

Picture-111

The last few years have been non-stop for Nicki Minaj, yet even as her star continues to rise, she’s fearful of fame.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Minaj opened up about joining American Idol, and potentially being too accessible to the public.

“Sometimes you are afraid of being too famous because it’s almost, like, is that even cool? Being that accessible, someone you see on TV every week? I never pictured myself as that type of person. I’m still surprised that I decided to do it.”

In choosing to become a judge on the show, the Young Money star consulted with her inner circle. “I had a lot of talks with people— my family, my best friends, my label, Lil Wayne, management and then the producers.”

Much has been made about the 30-year-old’s feud with fellow judge Mariah Carey, and as the Idol premiere date draws near fans will get a chance to see how the two communicate with one another. Since the firestorm behind their disagreement died down, Minaj has somewhat changed her tune, and doesn’t rule out a potential second collaboration with Carey. “If she’ll have me, I’ll be here waiting,” she told Ryan Seacrest, last November.

Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon, has also said that the two should jump on another record together (their previous collaboration was for Carey’s “Up Out My Face” in 2010), but as of now there are no plans to get in the studio.

In the meantime, fans can see Carey and Minaj when American Idol premieres Jan. 16 on Fox.

Macklemore’s ‘Thrift Shop’ goes platinum

images

Seattle rapper Macklemore may not be shopping at Goodwill anymore — at least not out of necessity. As of Thursday, he and his musical partner Ryan Lewis had sold one million copies of their single, “Thrift Shop,” which humorously praises the delights of finding great clothes on the cheap.

“Thrift Shop” was released in August, 2012 and has been on the Billboard singles charts 12 weeks, where it recently locked in the No. 10 spot. All of this is even more remarkable for the fact that Macklemore has no record contract, a trend increasingly common in the music industry.

Macklemore has had a strong Northwest following for some time, particularly since “My, Oh My,” a tribute to the late announcer for the Seattle Mariners, Dave Niehaus. But it was last year’s heartfelt support anthem for same sex marriage, “Same Love,” that catapulted MacLemore to national fame.

Kat Stacks Released from Jail; Immigration and Customs Enforcement Give Stacks Second Chance

katstacks

The controversial internet star known as Kat Stacks was released from a deportation facility in Louisiana today (January 3rd).

It was just over a year ago that Judge Jerry Beatmann Sr. told Kat Stacks, born Andrea Herrera, that she was going to be deported to her country of origin, Venezuela, after she was arrested for a felony charges that included carrying a concealed firearm in Broward County and disorderly conduct.

Then following an appeals process, Judge Beatmann signed the order to release Kat Stacks from her Louisiana immigration facility.

Kat Stacks is well known for her claims to having had wild sex with several rappers including Soulja Boy and Nelly, both of whom denied many of the allegations she spoke about.

Originally Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Kat Stacks and a judge declared “she wasn’t going to add anything to American society.”

Despite the courts stance on her citizenship, her family and lawyer said she was a victim of sex trafficking and that Herrera made up the Kat Stacks persona to survive.

Ultimately, the appeals board voted 2-1 to grant her appeal, stating that it considered Herrera’s criminal history, and declared that “Kat Stacks persona is disturbing and in no way a positive contribution to society,” but that, “other compelling factors, particularly her long history of abuse, outweigh the negative factors.”

Additionally, Kat Stacks has a child born in the United States so that was a factor that the judge and appeals committee considered.
