Katt Williams And Suge Knight Involved In Nightclub Brawl

According to TMZ reports:

Freshly freed Katt Williams had a front row seat last night as good friend Suge Knight got into a CRAZY brawl outside a Hollywood club … that ended with Suge nearly mowing down some people in his SUV … just hours after Katt was released from jail.

It all went down outside the Eden club. When the video (which is understandably shaky) starts, the massive brawl is already in full swing and you can see Suge trying to go after someone while Katt gets away from the action, walking behind a dumpster.

As the camera pans back, you can see Suge on the left side of the frame in a tan long-sleeved shirt. Suge can be seen connecting with some sort of punch, but the actual blow is blocked from view.

The next time we see Katt, he’s making his way to a black SUV while being chased by someone. Katt appears to get in the car before the guy is able to catch up to him.

Suge then gets into a white SUV and guns it, nearly hitting several people on his way out of the parking lot.

Take a look at the video for yourself.

Both of these azzholes need to get their lives together! SMMFH

YouTube Removes 2 Billion Fake Views From Three Major Label Channels

youtube_2

YouTube has cracked down on phony views, recently stripping three major record companies who were in question of view manipulation. The labels were Universal Music Group, Sony/BMG, and RCA Records where YouTube removed more than 2 billion fake views.

The Daily Dot reports that Universal Music’s artists took the biggest hit, losing one billion of its seven billion views. This means the channels for artists such as will.i.am and Nicki Minaj took major losses in their view counts. Sony/BMG and RCA also lost 850 million and 159 million views as well.

Furthermore, each label’s YouTube page now boasts a thin selection of videos. UMG only has five videos on its channel, while the number of videos on Sony’s page is currently empty.

Labels aren’t the only ones being singled out, as other notable channels belonging to Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Beyonce and Avril Lavigne received slashes in views. Interestingly, more than 500 well-known YouTube channels have been stripped of fake views in the past 30 days.

However, artists who are associated with VEVO—which is co-owned by Sony, Universal and Abu Dhabi Media—did not suffer any losses in the crackdown. According to YouTube statistical aggregator SocialBlade, major artists such as Eminem, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber were unaffected.

The Daily Dot received a response from Universal who acknowledged the sudden drop in views:

The Universal Music Group channel, though popular, has been mostly dormant since the company shifted its focus to individual channels hosted on Vevo, which Universal founded in conjunction with Sony Music, Abu Dhabi Media Company, and E1 Entertainment in 2009.

Shyne Addresses 1999 Nightclub Shooting

shyne_11-19-2012

In a video interview in Paris, Shyne discusses the shooting that led to his lengthy incarceration.

Shyne has certainly been vocal as of late, describing Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city as trash and subsequently engaging in an ongoing beef with The Game.

Most recently, the rapper addressed the nightclub shooting that sent him to prison for close to a decade.

On the evening of December 27, 1999, Shyne and then-girlfriend Monay Hawkins were with Sean Combs and Combs’ then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez at Club New York in Manhattan. An altercation broke out during which Shyne discharged a firearm and injured three people. As a result, the young rapper was both charged and convicted of reckless endangerment, attempted murder and assault. Although his pending debut album was eventually released, his career was otherwise put on hold for close to a decade, and he converted to Judaism while at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora.

According to Shyne, he acted in self-defense. “One of those people tried to shoot me. You know what I’m saying? One of those people tried to shoot me. One of those people was my homegirl. A woman by the name of Tanya Ruben. She was a singer, she was from my block, she was cool. We would go to the studio together, all that, and I’m definitely sorry that she had to suffer. But there was like four guns going off that night, at least” he explained to booska-p.com.

SOULJA BOY & LIL SCRAPPY CLASH: “LET’S GO TO WAR. I F**KED YOUR GIRL & YOU A B**CH”

soulja-boy-2012-07-16-300x300

Atlanta rappers Soulja Boy Tell Em and Lil Scrappy have taken their issues with one another to the Twitter world, going at each other’s necks over a common love interest.

Scrappy exposed his Twitter followers to the feud by publicly responding to SB’s own tweets.

“”@souljaboy: let’s go to war. I fucked your girlfriend and you a bitch.@reallilscrappy”lol souljia bitch u got money but no heart I’m ready,” Scrappy re-tweeted from Soulja Boy.

“This I knw u gay p*ssy n*cca I knw u take pipe foo it’s all round the A that u onna low an on top of that n*cca Imma c u soon”

“B4 y’all say its bout a b*tch it ain’t its about how this sucka poppin I dnt play wit other folks kids Imma G an that’s that sh*t I dnt like”

“”@kathybeeh00d: @reallilscrappy @souljaboy aren’t yall a little OLD to have “twitter beef” ? just fight in person. -___-“I’m wit it” (Lil Scrappy’s Twitter)

Although his tweets are no where to be found, Soulja Boycommented on his stance toward love.

“You can’t control who you love, but you should never let who you love control you.,” SB tweeted December 30th. (Soulja Boy Tell Em’s Twitter)

Last summer, Scrappy spoke on getting crushed over breaking up with female rapper Diamond.

“When that Diamond situation happened, it just taught me a real valuable lesson, ’cause I know, as I can see, I’m not a good judge of character,” he said when he appeared on Wednesday’s (June 20) “RapFix Live.” Scrappy — who put out his first album, Bred 2 Win Born 2 Live, in 2004 with Lil Jon‘s BME and 50 Cent‘s G-Unit labels — was helping his then-girlfriend get her career on track. After the couple broke up, he realized he needed to re-examine his life. “I ain’t never had my little heart broken before, but now that it happened, I don’t think it would happen for a long time,” he said. “But the good side about that is, you don’t put nobody before God, don’t ever put nobody before God, and I think I did a little bit of that trying to help her.” (MTV)

Photos of Diamond and Soulja Boy embracing each other hit the Internet in April 2011.

According to ATL blogger, Freddy O, Soulja Boy was seen getting super comfy and cozy with the self proclaimed 32 flavors ATL rapper, Diamond, during his Dub Car Show appearance. Although both are on the brink of pure irrelevancy (they may already be there, depending on who you ask), I must admit that I HOPE Scrappy tweets/interviews about it. Anything to start a lil’ blog worthy drama…. (Miss Jia)

Game Addresses 40 Glocc Lawsuit, Says It “Disintegrates Your Street Cred”

1-1-Game-Beat-hhdx

Game and 40 Glocc came to blows earlier this year after the latter made a Twitter page for the former’s son, sparking ill will between the two. After Game ran up on Glocc outside of a pool party and uploaded a video of the incident to the web, Glocc sued him for assault and battery, as well as damaging his reputation.During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Game spoke on Glocc’s nature and how he’s actually a “nerdy” guy who finds out where rappers are in Los Angeles and runs up on them with a crew.”As far as Los Angeles Hip Hop is concerned, I’m sort of at the top of the totem pole. Anything that’s a bad representation of me and my region, it’s not pretty cool at all,” he said. “You got this guy named 40 Glocc who I call Lawrence White. Let’s just take the Glocc and 40 out of his name because it doesn’t make sense. That’s like a real nerdy guy being called Bazooka. It doesn’t make sense. What happens is, he hears about rappers or artists coming to Los Angeles – whether here for awards or here to shoot a video – he rounds up whatever street guys, thugs or not, that he can, and he’ll come to your video shoot or wherever you’re at in the masses, 40 or 50 deep, and he’ll put you in a situation. If you’re not from California, not from Los Angeles and you don’t realy know how it works, you’ll be taken by surprise. Of course, you’re out of the envelope meaning that if you’re from New York and you’re in L.A., you become victim to the area.”Game knew that filming the battle between him and Glocc could result in a lawsuit, but didn’t think that he would actually go through with it since it “disintegrates your street cred.””Number one, it was a battle that was being fought on the foundation that he talked about my kids. Number two, I don’t think that he was going to sue. That’s the thing with rappers. If you sue, your rap career is done because that disintegrates your street cred. So I thought, this is one of the most street guys ever in Hip Hop, right? Says his mouth and the Internet. So I didn’t think he would sue. Then one day, one of my boys called me and said somebody served papers at the house,” he said. “I get my lawyers and we’ll go and all he probably wants is a couple grand or something, and my money is like, Nia Long, if you can understand that. We’ll take care of that. We’ll address it accordingly and we’ll get out of there.”

Bow Wow Addresses YMCMB Rumors, BET Hosting Gig & Crying On Camera

Bow_Wow-Host-hhdx

With a new gig as a host for BET’s 106 & Park, Bow Wowhas shown he can step away from Rap. He has also shown this through acting. Recently, Bow Wow caught up with DJ Whoo Kid to speak about hosting on BET and acting. He also took time to explain why the Young Moneycrew appears distant “from the outside looking in.””It’s better than cool. It’s greater than great,” he explained of his situation at BET. “It’s what I wanted. For me to be young, only 25 and already have this type of position on a billion dollar network, it’s major.”Bow also explained that he enjoys acting. When asked if he found it easy to cry on camera, he explained that he can do anything once he goes into character.”It’s not [hard to cry]. Once you tap into character and you understand the story, you’re golden from there. Everything else after that is pretty much easy.” Bow also addressed rumors of a distant relationship withYMCMB. He went on to say that though they may appear to be distant, they are still united. “We are all our own individual artists with our own unique way of getting it how we’re getting it. It’s hard for us to always be together so from the outside looking in, a lot of people say we’re distant but to us, we’re not. We always know where everybody is at all times. For me, I’m in this situation where I can’t leave New York. I’m here full time now. I was in Miami where we all lived at… But now that I’m here, Nicki is hosting American Idol. Everybody’s all over the place getting it in.”

Drake Wants Royalties For Use of YOLO Phrase

drake

Drake coined maybe the most popular acronym of 2012, but now wants whatever royalties he believes are due to him for the use of “YOLO.” The rapper took the phrase “You Only Live Once” to a whole new level when he released his hit single “The Motto” as a bonus track from his 2011 album Take Care, with just about everyone this year shouting “YOLO” to justify their reckless actions. The acronym has propelled its way into popular culture and has been plastered on all kinds of merchandise.

Yesterday Drake uploaded two pictures to his Instagram of “YOLO” merch, insinuating the retailers better pay up or stop using it. The first snapshot of “YOLO” hats in a drug store prompted him to write, “Walgreens.… you gotta either chill or cut the cheque.” The caption under the second pic, of a “YOLO” shirt, read, “Macy’s….same goes for you.”

It’s still not clear whether Drake has any right to the royalties he’s requesting or if he is assuming people will catch the hint and start to pay up.

Of course, he’s not the only person in the United States looking to horde all the YOLO cash to himself — there are over 100 YOLO trademark applications either live or dead in the United States…” says Gawker’s Jordan Sargent.

Others who could possibly be credited to first introducing “YOLO” to popular culture include  The Average Joe reality star Adam Mesh, who used the term on the show in 2003 and started a YOLO clothing line in 2004.

However Mesh is not likely to battle Drake on this one.

“When I created the word it was meant as inspiration to live life to the fullest. Disappointed in current use, I have moved on,” Mesh tweeted to one of his curious followers on Twitter.

Family: Teen Rapper Shot For Wearing Hoodie

joshua-davis-jayloud

The family of a teen rapper shot to death on Christmas night believes his hooded sweatshirt honoring another slain Englewood rapper led to his death.

Joshua Davis, 18, who went by the rap name JayLoud, was shot to death in the 2000 block of W. 69th Street — a few blocks from his home — after an altercation with several males on a CTA bus at about 11:30 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Officials say the group followed Davis off the bus and one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot Davis several times in the torso and once in the ear.

The victim’s sister told DNAinfo.com that Davis was killed in part for “wearing a hoodie” honoring deceased rapper Joseph “Lil Jojo” Coleman.

Coleman’s September shooting death received national attention after popular Chicago teen rapper Chief Keef mocked his death on Twitter. Chicago police are investigating whether the rap feud between the rival camps had anything to do with the shooting.

Several photos on Davis’ Facebook page show him wearing a “Jojo World” hooded sweatshirt. A CPD spokesman told NBC 5 that the police report didn’t name a piece of clothing as a factor in Davis’ shooting Tuesday, but detectives are still investigating the case.

No suspects were in custody as of Wednesday.

Tony Yayo Calls Game’s “Jesus Piece” Trash, Game Responds

game

Tony Yayo refers to Game’s “Jesus Piece” as trash, which of course lead to to the Cali rapper responding on Twitter.

When Kendrick Lamar’s studio debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city finally dropped, most deemed it an instant-classic.  One of the album’s detractors wasShyne, who called the album “trash”.  This lead to K.Dot’s fellow Compton rapper,Game coming to his defense, and beef unfolded between the two.  Now theJesus Piece rapper is in more beef as another rapper has called an album “trash” and this time refers to Game’s fifth studio effort.

Clearly not feeling the Christmas spirit, Tony Yayo took to Twitter yesterday saying “Jesus piece trash rap”, which of course got a response from Chuck.  The former G-Unit affiliate, who has no love loss with the crew responded with, “You had to listen to have an opinion turtle face fuck ha ha ha….. Merry Xmas 50’s Hoe Hoe Hoe !”

The Game and 50 Cent beef was recently reignited after Fif took open shots at him on his big single “My Life“. Don’t expect this to be the last we hear of this feud.

Consequence & Joe Budden Featured In “Love & Hip Hop” Season 3 Supertrailer

Joe Budden_12-25-2012

“Love & Hip Hop” newcomers Joe Budden and Consequence make an appearance in the show’s extended trailer.

With the premiere of the third season of Love & Hip Hopset for January 7, 2013, fans of the reality show were finally given a glimpse at what they can expect this season thanks to a supertrailer released earlier in the week.

In the trailer we’re given a closer look at the storylines for the show’s two new Hip Hop additions, rappers Joe Budden and Consequence.

On Joe Budden’s end, it appears that the Slaughterhouse emcee will attempt to balance the relationship between both his current girlfriend Kaylin Garcia and his ex, Tahiry Jose. And on Consequence’s end, his storyline seems to also be geared towards his relationship, but will also touch on the varying religious beliefs between himself and girlfriend/media personality Jen “The Pen” Bayer.

During an interview with HipHopSince1987.com back in November, Budden remained relatively tight-lipped about the show, merely stating that thanks to editing he really has no idea what to expect whenLove & Hip Hop does air.

“I wish I could tell you about it. You know they do a lot with editing so you never know. As a cast member you just have to sit down and watch with the rest of the world, that’s the fucked up part,” said the rapper.

Love & Hip Hop season three will air on January 7 on VH1 at 8/7 Central.
