Joe Budden Charged With Lewdness in New Jersey After Naked Incident

Joe Budden was charged with lewdness on Monday following an incident where his neighbor claimed seeing him “completely naked.”

The Edgewater Police in New Jersey released a statement today (Tuesday) that on Dec. 4, authorities were “dispatched to an apartment complex for the report from a resident that a man was standing outside of their apartment door completely naked. The caller recognized the man as a neighbor, Joseph Budden Jr., a 44-year-old male.”

The caller was alerted of Joe’s presence with help of their ring camera. According to the report, “The video depicted Budden attempting to enter a code into the door keypad several times before reentering his own residence across the hall.”

“These charges are merely accusations,” chief of police Donald A. Martin noted in the press release. “The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Budden’s attorney, Nima Ameri, told TMZ, “Mr. Budden is saddened by Police Chief Martin’s press release. Mr. Budden has been waiting weeks for his cross complaints to be processed which include substantially more serious charges include possible felony charges against the persons behind these charges against him. The Chief has in our opinion sat on those but instead used his time to gain some free publicity for himself. Chief Martin should seek publicity by doing notable policing not inflaming disorderly person allegations.”

He continued: “The allegations against Mr. Budden are a minor charge, not even resulting in an arrest. A charge Mr. Budden is looking forward to beating in court on the merits, not in the press. The Chief’s comments are reckless, and in our opinion racially motivated. Our research has not shown a single press release on a disorderly person charge on the police website this year. His choice to single out Mr. Budden in our opinion is self motivated and based off of Mr. Budden’s race and celebrity status.”

Earlier this month, Budden had addressed his absence from The Joe Budden Podcast by admitting that he was facing sleepwalking issues again. “I just sleptwalked somewhere I shouldn’t have sleptwalked,” he told his co-hosts. “You know how I sleep — buttass. Nice nakedass. Good naked sleepwalking. I just did it again.”

Atlanta Rapper OG Maco Passes Away at 32

OG Maco has reportedly passed away at the age of 32, a few weeks after a suicide attempt.

TMZ reports that the Atlanta rapper who is best known for the 2014 hit ‘U Guessed It’ died in hospital on Thursday (December 26). He was hospitalized on Dec 12 and was in a coma due to a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

Earlier this month, his family and team called his death rumors false, adding that he was in “critical but stable condition” and was receiving “the best possible care.”

Back in 2019, Maco revealed that he has secretly been struggling with a skin-eating disease for a few months. He revealed how he felt abandoned by people he had grown close to since rising to fame in 2014. “I’ve been going through alone 90% of the time without the person I love, without most of my ‘friends,’ without anything but my own strength and God,” he continued. “Girlfriends/Lovers will leave you at your worst. Friendships are many times just a word. Actions are everything.”

Maco passed away surrounded by his family in the Los Angeles hospital.

SZA Parts Ways with Manager Punch

SZA and manager Punch have officially parted ways.

After a few back and forth messages on Twitter, the superstar singer confirmed that she’s split with her long-time manager, Terrence Henderson, known as Punch from Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). “Nothing to celebrate. The end of an era. I wish him the best” she commented on a post on Instagram after speculation ran following SZA unfollowing Punch on Twitter and Instagram.

SZA and Punch have had a volatile relationship for long and the singer has expressed her frustration about her management several times on social media, even claiming back in 2020 that she was in a “hostile” relationship with Punch and TDE.

While confirming the split on Wednesday night, SZA asked fans to be easy on Punch.

Punch has previously commented on the fan theories that he’s ruining SZA’s career. “It’s amazing watching mob mentality in real-time,” he wrote last year when SOS was rolling out. “Absolute lies and misinformation can snowball into being what the public perceive as truth.”

He continued, “I laugh and play into a lot because I understand that a lot of the time people need a face to blame. a bad guy if you will lol. I rather it be me. I rather take the hits.”

SZA released the deluxe version of SOS titled Lana last week.

Dr. Dre Says He’s Not Inspired By Anything in “Hip-Hop These Days”

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s new album Missionary is out now and of course they are on a promo run for the same.

The two legendary musicians cover the latest issue of Complex where they speak on their chemistry, reuniting for a new album together, their recording process, meaning behind the album title, collaborating with 50 Cent & Eminem again, working with Sting and much more.

When talking about his iconic work in the past, Dre says he doesn’t like hearing anything he made in the past. “I don’t listen to any of the songs I’ve ever made since 1985, which is when I started. I don’t even allow my family or anybody to play that shit around me. I think that just the process of recording is what I really enjoy. Just recording the albums, and I’m listening to it enough while we’re recording, and when we finish recording, I wake up listening to that shit once it comes out. I’m ready to listen to the next shit,” he said.

From there, he started to speak on how he doesn’t feel inspired by anything that’s out right now.

“..I don’t want to be disrespectful to anybody right now, but I’m not really inspired by what’s happening with hip-hop these days. It’s not for me. I’ve always said I’m not going to disrespect it or anything like that, but I haven’t heard anything that makes me go fuck, why didn’t I do that? I haven’t heard that in a long time, which makes my job easy to be honest,” he said.

Dre was further asked by the interviewer about the last artist or album that inspired him. He answered: “Well, if you’re talking about new shit, I would say good kid, m.A.A.d city and To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar were the last hip-hop albums that inspired me.”

When speaking about working again with 50 and Em on the song ‘Gunz N Smoke‘, Dre said, “It’s a brotherhood. We all show up for each other. None of us has ever said no to each other.”

He added: “The critiques come from Eminem. It’s like a friendly competition among us. And it’s healthy. You’ll hear it. Like the way 50 showed up on the first verse. Then Snoop comes in and then Eminem shows up and you know what the fuck it is with him and that ink pen.”

Mustard Takes Shots at Boi-1da After Exposing Private DMs

It looks like the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef has gone to a level where there is now tension between Boi-1da and Mustard.

Unless you’re living under a rock, you would know that Boi-1da is a friend of Drake’s and supplier of some of his biggest hits, while Mustard produced the scathing diss and smash hit ‘Not Like Us’ by Kendrick Lamar. The two have had a good relationship so far from whatever was seen online but it looks like it’s gone sour in the wake of Drake-Kendrick tension.

Mustard made public some private DMs exchanged between them where 1da says “West Coast rap is ass.”

“Say it ain’t so man,” Mustard wrote in a story directed at Boi-1da before sharing a screenshots of the DMs.

“Nobody outside LA wanna hear that s***” said 1da and Mustard made light of the moment it seems was hit back with a laughing emoji. “@boi1da I thought you was a real one i ain’t kno you felt this way,” he captioned this exchange in another IG Story post. “I thought you was real one i ain’t kno you felt this way,” Mustard continued. 1da had previously congratulated him on the success of ‘Not Like Us’

He concluded with one more IG Story, writing, “and that’s the end of my ted talk. Lame a** n****.”

Boi-1da hasn’t responded or reacted to the stories online yet but we will update here if and when he does.
