Shyne Alleges 50 Cent Cooperated With Authorities To Bring Down Irv Gotti

Shyne alleges that 50 Cent cooperated with the cops in an attempt to ruin Irv Gotti’s career.

Between questioning Drake’s credibility to attackingKendrick Lamar’s debut album, Shyne hasn’t been playing friendly with many fellow emcees as of late. Now, in a recent interview with AllHipHop, Shyne Po makes a number of salacious allegations against 50 Cent.

Shyne recalled meeting Fif while ghostwriting for Diddy’s1999 LP Forever, saying that Fiddy was running scared from his foes Irv Gotti and Murder Inc. after a scuffle with the crew in 2000. He said that 50 actually hired police security to protect him from Gotti and company, and even gave police information on Gotti’s supposed business dealings with notorious drug dealer Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff.

“When I met [50 Cent] he was writing raps for Diddy on Forever. This was after Gotti and them poked him up in the Hit Factory and he ran to the cops and got a order of protection. He was walking around with a group of police, NYPD was holding him down. I swear to God he was in Daddy’s House in the lounge and he had security. He hadn’t sold one record. He hadn’t even put an album out…50 Cent was nobody, nobody knew who he was. He was hiding from Iv Gotti and Murder Inc. He’s the reason that Irv got indicted. He’s the reason that Kenneth Supreme McGriff is in prison for the rest of his life.”

SLIM DA MOBSTER CONFIRMS DR. DRE, AFTERMATH SPLIT: “SOMEBODY UPDATE THAT D*CK HEAD 50 CENT”

West Coast rapper Slim Da Mobster has confirmed recent rumblings by current rap rival 50 Centregarding a split from Dr. Dre and Aftermath Records.

Accordinig to Slim, he cut ties with the popular label around mid-October.

“I been off the label since October 17 …. somebody update that d*ck head @50cent,” Slim tweeted November 16th. (Slim Da Mobster’s Twitter)

Earlier in the day, 50 taunted Mobster’s status with Dre and Aftermath.

“SLIM U R dropped, you will get the call ths week.DRE’s a boss nobody wants 2 tell him. It’s OVER ? SMSaudio,” Fif tweeted Friday. (50 Cent’s Twitter)

Last year, Slim spoke to SOHH about a potential but botched Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit Records deal.

“It was in the air for a minute,” Slim told SOHH about having an opportunity to sign a three-way deal with Aftermath, Shady and G-Unit Records. “It was like too many big heads. It’s hard. You can’t have too many bosses on one [deal]. I just decided to stick with Dre and make a name for my own company and that’s where I’m at with it. … Everybody had a different job. 50 was my person to go door-to-door, like, ‘Get out here and roll to the shows.’ That’s what his job was. Dre was more to make sure that the music is right and [Eminem] was to make sure that lyrically, everything was where it was supposed to be. That was the thing that we were shooting for. I’m actually anticipating working on this record with Marshall [Eminem] for my [upcoming] album.” (SOHH)

Prior to getting dropped, Dre said he planned to work with Slim and Kendrick Lamar.

“I am never going to give music up,” he said. “Music is like air to me, [music] is like oxygen, so I am always doing that. As soon as I get back to Los Angeles, I am back in the studio doing my thing. I have a couple of new artists that I am excited about, Kendrick Lamar and Slim The Mobster. These are the next two artists, and these are probably my final two artists that I am going to be working with at least for the next couple of years. I am going to devote all my attention to them and make sure their sh*t comes out the way it should be. I am just having fun with life right now!” (Global Grind)

Gunplay Dares Saigon To Punch Rick Ross & 2 Chainz

Gunplay doesn’t understand why Saigon wants to punch Rick Ross & 2 Chainz, but if that’s how he feels, he should go ahead.

Two days ago Saigon was so upset with some of rap music’s x-rated content and the fact that it’s marketed towards kids, that he proposed the music be sectioned off. As well, Sai said he’d like to punch the rappers making such music–namely, according to him, Rick Ross & 2 Chainz.

Well, Gunplay, an MMG member with quite the criminal background, consideringhe’s on house arrest at this moment, had a few words for Saigon, while talking toHHW.

Gunplay dared Saigon to punch Rozay in the face, saying he has children and Ross has children too. He also questioned Saigon’s solution to the problem–punching someone in the face as a response to their adult content? Doesn’t seem very kid-friendly. “I got a son too, Ross got a daughter, Ross got a son. I dare you to do that shit.” Gunplay said. “To each his own, if that’s how he feel… try to punch him in the face.”

Gunplay was skeptical as to how more violence would solve the problem, “You saying this [but] you’re tryna punch somebody in the face? I’m sayin’, what’s wrong with dog? I don’t know what’s up with that shit.”

Gunplay says he’ll continue making the ratchet music he loves, “I’ma say ‘I smoke crack,’ and I’ma say ‘I shoot heroin,’ and what’s up?” he said before wondering why Saigon only targeted two rappers in a game of plenty. “Why you goin’ in on Ross? Go in on everybody else. You just singling out two people ‘cuz they the hottest niggas in the game right now. Why you singling them out? Everybody has kids, what makes yours so special?”

Gunplay is currently working on his album Medellin, and the first single dropped this past week, “Drop.”

Shyne Says His Post-Prison Records Were “Trash,” Refers To Game As A “Media Whore”

Shyne says Game isn’t a gangster rapper, speaks on being a consistent artist despite his recent songs.

Brooklyn rapper Shyne may have just released the Gamediss track “Psalms 68 (Guns & Moses),” but despite the release of the record his harsh rhetoric against the rapper has yet to cease. While speaking with New York City’s Power 105.1 over the phone today (November 16), Shyne commented on Game being a “media whore” and questioned the rapper’s credibility as a gangster rapper.

Shyne also didn’t hesitate in adding his two cents when it came to Game’s feud with fellow West Coast emcee 40 Glocc.

“Listen, Game ain’t not gangster rapper,” said Shyne. “He’s a dude with a butterfly on his face and a tongue ring, that’s what they said he had, or he used to be a stripper. These dude’s is fronting man. All that 40 Glocc, that’s a joke. I don’t know what part of the hood he from, but in Compton and South Central dudes ain’t letting you walk away. I know they not letting you walk away in Brooklyn.”

Prior to speaking on both Game and 40 Glocc, Shyne spoke on his post-prison records being “trash” and boasted on being a consistent artist despite the release of those songs.

“My whole thing is consistency. Shyne has never been inconsistent you dig? I was on the island. I was in the mountains. You never heard nothing reckless about me,” the rapper explained in a radio interview posted on HipHopWired.com. “You understand what I’m talking about? There’s no holes poked in what I do and what I represent. When I came out the records was trash, I admit it. Cause I lost my voice, but we can’t start comparing records to real life and what I actually did.”

Robert De Niro Reportedly Confronts Jay-Z For Not Returning His Numerous Phone Calls

Robert De Niro calls Jay-Z “disrespectful” after his calls to the rapper about a Tribeca Film Festival song went unanswered.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six column, things allegedly got pretty heated between Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z and actor Robert De Niro during a birthday celebration for Leonardo DiCaprio.

The confrontation between the two stemmed from various phone calls De Niro made to Jay-Z that went unanswered. The actor was hoping to discuss a song Jay-Z was to record for the annual Tribeca Film Festival.

“Bob was sitting at a table, and when Jay-Z went over to say hello, De Niro told Jay that he never called him back,” a source revealed to the New York Post.

“Bob wasn’t in any mood to make polite conversation. He told Jay that if somebody calls you six times, you call them back. It doesn’t matter who you are, that is just rude,” another source added.

Those in attendance at the birthday celebration revealed that the confrontation between the two men reportedly reached a point where even Beyonce had to intervene.

Reps for both Jay-Z and De Niro have chosen not to comment on the incident.

Nevada Boxing Commission Grants 50 Cent Promoter License

First New York granted 50 Cent permission to promote boxing matches, and now Nevada has followed suit.

As of early Thursday (Nov. 15), the Nevada State Athletic Commission approved 50’s request to become a licensed promoter in the state Thursday.

From ESPN:

50 Cent — Curtis Jackson is the real name of the rap star — intended to promote under the company name of TMT Promotions — The Money Team — with good pal Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, they had a falling out after Mayweather did not come up with the share of the money that Jackson said he had promised to put into the company.

So last month Jackson applied for the license under the name of his new company, SMS Promotions, and his application was approved in a 5-0 vote of the commission, as long as he provides three more pieces of information to the commission, which had already received an extensive application packet.

Jackson and attorney Leon Margules, who were at the meeting, promised to provide the commission with what it still wanted within a week — two years’ worth of Jackson’s income tax returns, a financial statement listing the fighters SMS has under contract and a letter stating that the assets that had been in TMT’s name are now in SMS’s name.

So long as the price is right, 50 will even fight Mayweather. This dude is a master at wrangling publicity.

Chris Brown Says He Can’t Speak About Drake, Talks Rumored Jay-Z Confrontation

Chris Brown says that he can’t speak on Drake because of “legal stuff” but denies rumors of Jay-Z threatening his career by saying the two have been “cordial.”

The singer was asked about his feud with Drake and reports about a Jay-Z confrontation. Brown explained that he can’t elaborate on the Drake story due to legal obligations but added that he and Jay were “cordial” to one another.

“The only reason I can’t talk about [the Drake situation] is because we’re dealing with legal stuff. You know I’m trying to get paid and not trying to give out no information. We don’t talk about other guys. We just focus on music.”

When Big Boy pressed on and asked if he hit Drake or if Drake him him, Brown responded by saying he boxes.

“Nah. It’s none of that. I’m more reserved and I box…[Laughing] You know exactly what that means.”

As the interview went on, Brown was also asked about an alleged confrontation between him and Jay-Z. Brown denied that any confrontation took place. Instead, he said the two were cordial to one another.

“No. No. No. Me and him had…had…um…It just was a lot of people. It’s like a green room, backstage, you come and say what up to everybody and it was cordial…It was real respectful. It was nothing like that.”

Apologize for turning down a million dollars a night,” he said. “He didn’t want to perform no more, but that’s understandable. I just kept on pushing. Kept on going. To me, the whole thing about the performance thing is, I know fans want to see us do the songs together. But I never stopped touring. I’m on my second solo record.”

As for the elusive Outkast reunion album? “It’s whatever man. If Dre’s ready to do it and I’m not on tour all around the world, let’s go, for sure.”

Snoop helping to educate the world on how to eat better, and encouraging communities to grow their own organic food — this is very positive change. We are also excited about rolling out this
project to many U.S. cities. My company has always tried to offer people better, healthier options when it comes to what they drink.”
