Fabolous Talks Marriage, Reality TV And Plans For “Loso’s Way 2”

In an interview on The Combat Jack Show, Fabolous shrugs off any marriage plans, explains his Twitter hiatus and plans for an album in 2013’s first quarter.

In part 2 of an interview on The Comeback Jack Show’s100th episode, Brooklyn-bred emcee Fabolous spoke openly when asked about his recent hiatus from the public eye. The rapper has recently taken a break from Twitter, where he was one of the most popular rappers with over 2 million followers.

“Certain people didn’t always take my jokes the right way, so I didn’t wanna keep getting into little dumb altercations, or arguments or ray j moments over it,” Fabolous explained.

Twitter isn’t the only place Fab thinks the public’s perception of him has been misconstrued. While he and the mother of his child, Emily Bustamante are happy and raising their son together, he feels that the reality show “Love And Hip Hop” distorted their relationship in the public eye. As happy has they may be, don’t expect to see the two making a trip down the aisle anytime soon.

“The thing about marriage is that, I believe in it but don’t believe in it,” Fabolous added. “I think sometimes people put on that ring and that paper, and it messes up a good thing, because now it’s a different emphasis on your relationship…I like to just build on relationships and make sure you’re in a happy relationship.”

While he has been on a hiatus from social media Fab hasn’t taken a break from making music. On top of the highly anticipated The S.O.U.L. Tape 2, Fabolous has been preparing his next studio album,Loso’s Way 2, for a February release.

“We have some incredible music on there. It’s taking me so long to do it because I really want the right ingredients, I’m really putting together a great album.”

During the interview, which can be seen below, Fab also talks about his previous work with Young Jeezy and Joe Budden. The S.O.U.L. Tape 2 is scheduled to drop November 22.

Police Officer Reprimanded Over Appearance In Freddie Gibbs Video

A Gary, IN police officer was punished over his appearance in a Freddie Gibbs video.

With his Baby Face Killa mixtape garnering universal praise, it looks like Freddie Gibbs is primed to cap off a banner year. But now, in a recent report from The Post Tribune, it appears as if a police officer has been punished over his appearance in one of the CTE rapper’s video.

Patrolman Jason Johnson was recently reprimanded over his appearance in a behind-the-scenes video from a music video shoot for Freddie Gibbs. The video, which is dated to 2009, features Johnson’s patrol car behind used as a prop, as well as a number of people on camera smoking marijuana and displaying gang signs.

As of now, Officer Johnson’s patrol car privileges have been suspended and he has been transferred to garage. He is also expected to take mandatory ethics classes and faces a hearing from the police commission.

“When matters like this arise, our approach continues to be proactive. We are policing ourselves as well as the citizens. We will do everything in our power to ensure that any illegal behavior by Gary police officers will not be tolerated,” said Police Chief Wade Ingram.

Mayor of Gary, IN Karen Freeman-Wilson echoed Chief Ingram’s sentiments, saying, “This goes beyond ethics. This has to do with character. It is our intent to take aggressive measures to confirm what we already know — that the overwhelming majority of the members of the Gary Police Department are hard working and law abiding.”

While it appears as if Freddie Gibbs will not face any punitive measures in the matter, the rapper took to Twitter to discuss the situation. He said he finds it bizarre that the Post Tribune would opt to make the issue a front-page story over the Presidential election.

Lil Wayne Loses $2 Million Judgement to Quincy Jones III

Lil Wayne missed an important court appearance on Monday due to the two seizures he had and a Dr. ordered him not to fly. The verdict is in from his lawsuit and he has to pay Quicny Jones III$2 million dollars.

TMZ Reports:

Lil Wayne just lost his case against Quincy Jones III over the documentary about the rapper, and even worse for him, he lost the countersuit QIII filed against him.

The jury ordered Lil Wayne to pay Quincy $2,195,000.  Quincy’s countersuit alleged Lil Wayne wrongfully jock blocked the release of the film, screwing up its profit potential.

We broke the story … Lil Wayne never showed up in court for his trial.  The day he was supposed to testify he was a no-show because he had suffered several seizure-like episodes and was prohibited from flying.  As a result, his lawyer was left to show the jury Wayne’s deposition, in which he refuses to answer questions and mocks the proceeding.

Juvenile Says Lil Wayne Wanted To Leave Cash Money, Still Isn’t Getting Paid Properly

As it has been highly publicized over the years,  left  in the mid 2000′s due to issues about not being compensated properly. Now, Juve explains why he left the label and also comes out and says  had the same issues with the imprint, and he also wanted to leave with him, but was scared to break away from Baby and Slim.

In a recent interview with Complex, Juvenile spoke on leaving Cash Money, and Lil Wayne wanting to leave.

Juvenile addresses leaving Cash Money:

My reason [to leave Cash Money] is the same reason most artists leave their label—money. The music business is like the sports business. We use entertainment agents, entertainment lawyers. The only difference is they play sports. We all try to operate a certain way. When you put in that much work, you should be compensated for it. I’m number one on this station, number one on that station so I checked the contracts and went back over the paperwork. I was naïve in the beginning, I didn’t want anybody telling me anything because, hey, you didn’t help me get this situation and you’re on the outside. I should’ve listened because they had me in a contract that I’d still be in. There was no future for me in the contract.

As the interview continued, Juve revealed that Lil Wayne wanted to leave Cash Money with him:

When Wayne was trying to leave Cash Money [in the mid 2000s], same thing. He was trying to find out how did I leave, what did I do, he wanted to see my paperwork. I was like you can see it, but you’re gonna have to pay me for it now because now I know you ain’t with me. You’re own your own because I’m definitely on my own. If you want the paperwork and help from my end, I need to be compensated for it. [He never paid for it].

The former Cash Money rapper adds that he believes that Lil Wayne got cheated out of his money, and that he still isn’t getting what he deserves:

Still up to the day, Wayne really got beat out of all his money and took another contract. That’s the part I never understood. I was signed to Atlantic and Jay-Z was excited about that because now we was about to get our own money. That’s what I really wanted. I wanted him to leave. All of a sudden he signed back I’m like, ‘Damn, what type of deal he got working?’

He adds:

If you notice the Young Money/Cash Money imprint, some of the stuff that need to say Young Money don’t say Young Money. I know Baby and I know Ronald [“Slim” Williams]. They ain’t giving up power of their company. They don’t care how big Wayne gets, they not giving up. If I didn’t get it, he ain’t getting it.

Juve believes Lil Wayne didn’t leave Cash Money, because he was scared:

I thought he was scared [that’s why he stayed]. That’s how I took it. I was like, ‘You don’t have to be scared.’ I’m really from the projects. No disrespect to them, but I’m 10 times more street than they are. They would never go to some of the places I’d go, they’d never turn some of the corners I turned because they’re not like that. It’s two different ballgames. So I’m like, ‘Don’t let them niggas intimidate you. Don’t let that looking hard shit intimidate you because nigga I’m really with it. If you wanna leave, leave. You’re with me now, not them.’ One thing led to another and he signed back, but I took it as he was scared.

50 Cent Says Beef With Floyd Mayweather Jr. Not Real. Was Staged Because Floyd Wanted Attention After Getting Out Of Jail

Newspapers, blogs, the internet and social media have been having a field day with the beef between 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Could it all have been a big act?

As we previously reported, 50 and Floyd had a very public fallout on Twitter a couple of days ago. There were a lot of personal attacks in their war of words. This morning 50 took to Twitter to say that it was staged to get people talking about Floyd because no one was giving the boxing champion the attention he wanted after his recent release from jail.

Now the G-Unit boss has grown tired of the games and is not willing to participate in them anymore.

“I’m sick of all this nonsense Floyd asked me to act like were fighting cause no one was paying any attention after his 60 days,” 50 wrote. “Domestic violence is very serious my apologies,my grand mother said we need to stop playing I’m done sorry. I know some of the things we do in hip hop for shock value are wrong. He just wanted some attention. Floyd is like a brother to me. I always tweet things for him like follow his fiancée and help promote him but one. I’m done with please don’t ask me about it. He just called he mad I said something about domestic violence. He just want be in music. You ever hear him RAP? lol.”

Jay-Z at Obama Rally: ‘I Got 99 Problems But Mitt Aint One’

It’s called a volume switch, Ohio, and someone in Jay-Z‘s backing band forgot to use it on Monday at a packed rally in Columbus, where Hova was opening up for President Barack Obama on the eve of election day.

“I changed the lyric,” Jay-Z said while setting up an improvised — and uncleared by Secret Service, he joked? — version of “99 Problems” that swapped out “Bitch” with “Mitt.” As you’d expect, Jay stuck to the new lyric but the same couldn’t be said for the backing track, which blasted the unfortunate “bitch”-es during each chorus.

“I got 99 problems but a bitch/Mitt aint one.”

Gaffes-that-came-too-late-in-the-campaign aside, Jay rocked a brief but energetic set for the flag waiving crowd, playing such favorites as “Run This Town” and “Encore,” during which he swapped out the usual chants of “Hova! Hova!” with “Four More Years!”

Jay’s opening act was Bruce Springsteen, who has become a familiar presence on the campaign trail over the past week. Performing songs including “No Surrender” and “Land of Hope and Dreams,” Springsteen also did his own version of a stump speech and his “campaign theme” for Obama, called “Forward and Away We Go.”

“I kissed your sister then I kiss your mama; Usually this time of the day I’m in my pajamas; Well let’s vote for the man who got Osama; Forward and away we go!”

Springsteen had a sense of humor about the simplistic lyrics, saying, “That is how you can get to where I am today. That kind of songwriting.”

After Obama, sounding hoarse, gave his closing argument stump speech, his rock star friends emerged from behind the scenes for a curtain call. Check out original photos from Billboard here .

CASSIDY AGREES TO BATTLE MEEK MILL FOR $100,000

Earlier this week Meek Mill explained that he has battled over 1,500 people throughout his career and has never lost. He also added that he would to go toe toe with Cassidy or Murda Mook, but it would take at least a $100,000 in prize money.

“I ain’t scared to do it,” he said. “I was the first to do two tours without really having an album out. The first to do three million downloads in an hour or two. The first to jump back in the ring to battle. One of the first to be rocking arenas when people in cities never even heard of me. Why not be the first to jump back in the ring and do my thing? It’s what I love.”

“I don’t think you could damage me in no type of way where I would lose that bad where somebody wouldn’t want to buy my albums or participate. I don’t even have plans on losing…Since [being 13], I never ever lost a battle. I’ve probably battled 1,500 people in my life.”

“You gotta have $100[,000] or more. I can’t do it for free. That ain’t my lane…Win, lose or draw – just for even stepping on the court.”

Cassidy, hearing of Mill’s offer to battle him, called in to Philadelphia’s Hot 107.9 to discuss the potential of a showdown between the two Philadelphia natives.

“Well, you know, that’s what I do, man. I mean, I’m cut from that cloth. I started off with battling so I’m into that but ever since I got a deal and started getting money up in this industry, it wasn’t really beneficial for me to battle especially with a bunch of those dudes that are battling all the time,” explained Cassidy.”I know I’ma bite they head off but it’s like, really, what am I going to get out of it?”

“Meek got that wave right now, he a household name, bigging him up — we definitely can get a nice crowd, get some crazy sponsors and get some chicken up. So it’ll be beneficial for me to do something like that.”

50 Cent And Floyd Mayweather Exchange Insults On Twitter

Fresh off the dissolution of The Money Team, 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather exchange verbal jabs on Twitter.

As if it wasn’t already apparently when he dismantled The Money Team earlier this week, but 50 Cent’s relationship with boxer Floyd Mayweather has been quickly deteriorating over the past few months. Now, it appears as if the two have aired out their issues on Twitter.

The spat between the former friends began with Fiddy taunting Mayweather, saying boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa – who is signed to Fif’s SMS Promotions company – wants to fight the undefeated boxer. Fif’s jabs then turned personal, calling Mayweather broke and saying that he’s running away from a fight with Manny Pacquiao.

GAMBOA WANTS TO FIGHT FLOYD. I will put up a extra 20 million for the winner. He don’t like it that Floyd pulled out.

GAMBOA is the truth, FLOYD no that, stop tricking and Fight

Mayweather responded to 50 with a slew of insults of his own, calling him a “male boxing groupie.” Topping off his barrage of disses, Mayweather attacked Fif’s career, saying that his relevance in the industry is dwindling and that the likes of Rick Ross and Lil Wayne have taken his spot.

Cee Lo Green said to be recorded apologizing to woman accusing him of drugging, sexually assaulting her:

There may be a recording that Cee Lo Green wishes his voice was not on.

The woman accusing Green of sexual battery secretly taped a conversation with the “Forget You” singer in which he allegedly admits slipping her a drug – possibly Ecstasy – and having sex with her, sources told TMZ.com.
The accuser claims the 38-year-old “The Voice” judge, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, brought her to a downtown L.A. restaurant in July, where they had a drink.
According to the police report, she alleges that she remembers nothing after that until waking up later lying completely naked in a bed with Green.
LAPD police have questioned staffers at the restaurant over the event of that night. Detectives also had the woman tape a “pretext” call in which she tried to get Green admit to a crime, after she filed the police report.
On that call, sources told the gossip site that Green repeatedly apologized and mentioned MDMA, another name for the drug Ecstasy, saying he thought the drug would improve their evening – though not referencing slipping anything into a drink.
Sources in Green’s camp, however, are singing a different tune. A lawyer for the R&B star says the woman only went to police after hiring a civil lawyer and getting shot down in her request for money.
“Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else,” Green told TMZ on Wednesday.

He also explained why he has no fear of losing in a battle.

“I don’t think you could damage me in no type of way where I would lose that bad where somebody wouldn’t want to buy my albums or participate. I don’t even have polans on losing…Since [being 13], I never ever lost a battle. I’ve probably battled 1,500 people in my life.”

Mill went on to share that he feels he can take Battle Rap into a different level, where emcees get more compensation for their work.

“I’m a leader. I don’t follow people. We have a lane to take this to another level where a whole ‘nother money circuit could open up. I’m a leader. I’m willing to take that leadership and when I take that leadership, don’t be mad when I’m the only one getting that leader money.”

So, how much would it take for Mill to battle? The MMG emcee says he’d need a check for $100,000 or more.

“You gotta have $100[,000] or more. I can’t do it for free. That ain’t my lane…Win, lose or draw – just for even stepping on the court.”

“I’d do Cassidy and Mook right now.”

WAKA FLOCKA HATES KOBE BRYANT, CALLS LEBRON JAMES “SELLOUT”

With the NBA season in full gear, Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame has dished out his issues with Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and defending Miami Heat champion LeBron James.Although he gave Bryant an edge over King James, Flocka made sure to let the world know he cannot ride for either NBA superstar.

“As a basketball player, I’ll say Kobe Bryant,” Waka said in an interview. “And I hate Kobe Bryant. I feel like LeBron’s a sellout. No matter what nobody say. As a kid growing up it was never about no check or no ring. It was about, ‘I play basketball, man. I’m happy because I’m in the NBA.’ Now everybody, it’s like a check and a ring.” (WiLD 94.9)

Over the summer, renowned movie director Spike Lee took a similar stance when asked about Kobe and LeBron.

“That’s a blockbuster. It tilted the power again,” Spike told MTV News after hearing the news Friday morning. The way Lee figures it, if his beloved Knicks aren’t in contention for the NBA title next season, he wouldn’t mind seeing L.A. win their 12th championship since moving to Los Angeles more than 50 years ago. For Spike, anything would be better than seeing New York rivals LeBron James and his Miami Heat win another championship. “I rather the Lakers win it than the Heat,” he said. “I do not want the Heat to win back-to-back. Hell no, hell-to-the-nah.” (MTV)

Once a Lebron fan, Cleveland’s Machine Gun Kelly predicted James would lose in the NBA Finals last June.

LeBron James and the Miami Heat will tip-off against the Oklahoma City Thunder to begin the NBA Finals Tuesday night (June 12). One rapper who definitely does not want to see King James and the Heat capture the NBA title is Machine Gun Kelly. After spitting the line, “Never mind that’s just Kells with that Heat, no LeBron though,” on his hit, “Wild Boy,” the Cleveland MC echoed that sentiment on a recent radio station stop “Oh no, he’s not taking it,” MGK said in reference to LeBron on Power 107.5. “If he doesn’t do it this year, then he won’t do it again.” (XXL Mag)

Despite the prediction, James and the Heat won the NBA Finals.

The Miami Heat were as hot as their namesake, and the decision of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to play together was finally validated after coming close in their first year together, as the trio lifted the Larry O’Brien Championship trophy, knocking out the Oklahoma City Thunder, 4-1, with a 121-106 win, Thursday (Friday, PHL time), in front of their hometown fans.
