Kris Humphries Put Kanye West’s Subpoena in a Nordstrom Box and Sent it to Kim Kardashian

Kris Humphries Put Kanye West’s Subpoena in a Nordstrom Box and Sent it to Kim Kardashian
Brooklyn Nets forward Kris Humphries is actually a really, really talented NBA player. He’s obviously not a star by any stretch of the imagination, but he’s a pretty reliable double-double machine.

The two-year, $24 million contract he got this summer sounded like a lot originally, however, given his production, it’s probably not the worst way for a given team to spend its money.

All that said, and all credit to Humphries’ game given, he’s about as corny a dude as you will ever come across. Nevermind the fact that he randomly decided to wife up a glorified Paris Hilton, a girl whose claim to fame is a sex tape with a fourth-rate R&B singer. That’s a mistake that can kind of, sort of be forgiven.

What can’t be forgiven, though, is the fact that he continues to embarrass himself in the divorce proceedings. Rather than just quietly settling this matter and moving on with his life, Humphries is looking to make his split from Kim nearly as humiliating as the original nuptials were.

Here is the latest development in their ongoing saga, via TMZ:

Kris Humphries’ lawyer engineered a sneak attack by trying to serve a subpoena on Kanye West by putting it in a Nordstrom box and sending it to Kim Kardashian’s house.

Kim’s lawyer, disso queen Laura Wasser, told the judge in the divorce case about the ploy during a hearing that is still going on.

Wasser groused to the judge … Kim has already racked up $250,000 in attorney’s fees, yet it’s unclear exactly what Kris wants out of this.

Wasser said she’s heard the reports that Kris and his lawyers want to put reality TV on trial, and there seems to be evidence to back that up. Wasser noted that Kris has served Kris Jenner with a subpoena and NBC Universal and Bunim/Murray, which produces the Kardashian’s reality shows.

Look, Kris, this is just me and you talking now. Nobody else can hear us.

First of all, you don’t need a Nordstrom box to confuse or distract Kim Kardashian. A simply shiny object would do the trick. More importantly, though, you’re making yourself a laughingstock, dude. You’re such a talented player – do you really want to go down in history as the guy who went to war with the Kardashians? Is that seriously what you want on your tombstone?

Drop this nonsensical vendetta. Cut ties with the attention whores from across the way. Focus on balling. Play up to your potential. Move on with your life.

If not for yourself, then do it for the hoops fans everywhere who can’t stand to have this idiotic case being a constantly-developing news story every single day.

You’re better than this.

Chris Brown and Drake Sued for $16 Million in Manhattan Bottle Throwing Brawl

Image

According to documents filed in New York’s Manhattan Supreme Court, Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. has filed suit for $16 million in damages resulting from the fight involving Chris Brown and Drake.

In a recent article in the New York Post detailing the suit, Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. states that both Chris Brown and Drake “shared a grudge against the other arising out of their romantic relationships with the same woman,” Rihanna, and when they “crossed paths,” they “began to fight violently with each other.”

The suit also states that, “each arrived with his own small army of bodyguards, ‘security’ personnel, employees, friends and other members of their entourage, consisting of at least 15 heavily built men trained and/or experienced in hand-to-hand and weapons combat.”

Both entourages are said to have “fashioned deadly weapons out of whatever materials they could find, including glasses, alcohol bottles and furniture, thereby circumventing the nightclubs’ extensive efforts to ensure a safe environment.”

As well, the article states that Entertainment Enterprises is filing suit because it owns the trademark on the Greenhouse name outside of New York, and that it had negotiated a $4 million deal to license the name in place until the melee ruined negotiations.

Neither Drake nor Chris Brown has been formally charged in the incident, but the suit is officially being filed for”gross negligence,” “ultrahazardous activity,” and “intentional illegal acts.”

Freeway Ricky Ross Calls Rick Ross’ Rolling Stone Interview “BS” and “Scripted”

Image

Rick Ross’ new interview/cover with Rolling Stone magazine could be used against him in an upcoming court case, over the battle for his stage name.

Freeway Ricky Ross, a legendary reformed Los Angeles drug kingpin, has an upcoming court date against Warner Brothers over a lawsuit that claims the label stole his image.

During the Rolling Stone interview, rapper Rick Ross addressed a number of issues, including his upbringing, as well as his controversial past as a correctional officer.

Rick Ross claimed that his main reason for becoming a correctional officer was because a lifelong friend went to prison, prompting the rapper to take up the job.

“This was my best friend, who I ate peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches with, and pork and beans with, my buddy, my partner, my number-one dude,” Rick Ross told Rolling Stone. “Suddenly I’m talking to him over federal phone calls. Hearing the way it was building, I knew I couldn’t take nothing for granted. My homey’s father was a huge influence on my life, too . . . He was the one who was like, ‘Yo, go get a job somewhere, man. Go be a fireman. Or go be a fucking corrections officer. Just go sit down somewhere.”

Freeway Ricky Ross spoke to AllHipHop.com about the interview and questioned Rick Ross’ authenticity once again.

“The answers in this Rolling Stone article were BS, this is scripted to make it look like he had some struggle,” Freeway Ricky Ross told AllHipHop.com. “No one tells you to go be a correctional officer before all the other jobs that build our community, especially not when their son just got convicted for a long sentence.”

Although Freeway Ricky has lost two earlier court rulings and was recently ordered to pay a portion of Rick Ross’ legal bills, he was granted an appeal against Warner Brothers and will be deposing its executives Sean “Diddy” Combs, Todd Moscowitz and Lyor Cohen, over the next 30 days.

Freeway Ricky Ross’ lawsuit claims that the record label stole his image and is using it to profit and make millions, via the rapper Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II.

“There was an understanding of the value of my name because of multiple millions being pushed globally by all major news outlets to cover the Iran Contra and Crack epidemic and my involvement as Rick Ross,” Freeway Ricky Ross told AllHipHop.com. “These music executives recognized it and set up to steal that value, because I had a life sentence and refused to include me in the process. I believe our kids need to see more than the glamor of my life, they need to see the cost too.”

Tone Loc Reportedly Has Seizure At Charity Event

Image

California rap legend Tone Loc suffered a seizure during a comedy show at the Laugh Factory last night, sources said.

The rapper was attending a charity event to benefit “My Friend’s House,” an organization that helps homeless. Suddenly, he began to “flail around in his seat,” according to sources with TMZ.

The rapper reportedly struggled to breath and was sweating profusely. He was cooled down with cold water.

An ambulance was called, but the 46-year-old rapper recovered and didn’t need the paramedics.

Loc left the venue immediately and was home resting at press time.

In the past, the rapper has told authorities that he suffers from seizures. A rep for the rapper says he did not have a seizure at the Laugh Factory and that some food made him ill.

Rick Ross Cover “Rolling Stone,” Details Past As Corrections Officer

Image

Rick Ross also blames his multiple seizures last year on smoking too much marijuana.

Rick Ross appears on the cover of the latest issue ofRolling Stone magazine.

During his interview, Rozay touched on his controversial past as a corrections officer, which he has never formally addressed in detail. The Teflon Don explains that he became a CO as a way to “wash my hands” after his best friend was sentenced to a decade behind bars for trafficking heroin and cocaine.

“This was my best friend, who I ate peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches with, and pork and beans with, my buddy, my partner, my number-one dude. Suddenly I’m talking to him over federal phone calls. Hearing the way it was building, I knew I couldn’t take nothing for granted,” says Ross. “My homey’s father was a huge influence on my life, too . . . He was the one who was like, ‘Yo, go get a job somewhere, man. Go be a fireman. Or go be a fucking corrections officer. Just go sit down somewhere.”

He also spoke on the cause of his pair of seizures last year, blaming his habit of smoking too much marijuana as the stimulus for his medical affliction. “I’m most definitely an avid user, a pothead, however you want to look at it. I call it green caviar. It’s like a short vacation – it helps me chill out. And people really love it when I chill out, because I can really be a dickhead.”

Beanie Sigel Speaks On Prison Sentence, Relationship With Jay-Z

Image

Beanie Sigel reflects upon his upcoming two-year prison sentence and why the time for a sit-down with Jay-Z has passed.

In less than a month, Beanie Sigel will head back to prison to serve out a two-year sentence for failure to pay his taxes. Now, in a recent interview with XXL, the Philadelphia emcee reflects on his impending time behind bars.

Beans explained that his upcoming sentence is a painfully sobering experience. He said that it’s difficult to prepare oneself for jail and the concept of becoming a number rather than a person. Still, he said that once he’s released in 2014, he plans on changing his lifestyle and never looking back on his past.

“I’m done [with prison]. It’s over!” he said. “In that environment, this outside world…you gotta hang all that up. When I go in there, I won’t be Beanie Sigel. I’ll be 57613-066. That’s who I’ll be. I won’t be Beanie Sigel. I’m not gonna sit in my cell and write rhymes everyday. That’s a real thing inside. There’s people inside who ain’t ever coming out of those buildings. I would talk to them and do my best to be a window for some of ’em who are never gonna make it outta there. We all have the same commissary, we all have the same amount of money on our books, we all gonna eat the same food and nobody cell gonna look different. I’m gonna be a number like everybody else.”

Sigel also spoke on his rocky relationship with former Roc-A-Fella cohort Jay-Z. Referencing his 2009 song “What You Talkin Bout? (I Ain’t Ya Average Cat),” Beans said that the time for a conversation with Hova is long gone; he’s come to understand that his partnership with the Brooklyn emcee wasn’t built on friendship, but rather business.

“There’s no need for that conversation anymore [with Jay-Z]…it’s been too long,” he said. “That’s all I ever wanted. Jay-Z don’t owe me a dime. What me and Jay had or what I thought we had was a brothership that was beyond music and business. A brothership that I trusted and that I’d put my life in harm’s way for ‘this thing of ours, this La Familia.’ I thought it was bigger than music, I thought it was bigger than business, but as I got older and thought about it…that’s all it was, it was business. So, the conversation is for what? I kind of understand…Jay was growing, he’s in a different space, he was rubbing shoulders with different people and when you get around certain people and you get into a certain bracket, sometimes you got to disassociate yourselves with the hoodlums…at one point, I thought this rap shit ruined me. I got in more trouble being Beanie Sigel than when I was just Mac.”

50 Cent Speaks Out On The Work Ethic Of Lloyd Banks And Tony Yayo

Image

Back in May, G-Unit founder 50 Cent publicly stated that both Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo “need to get themselves together,” now in a recent interview with XXL, the mogul, rapper, and actor is still not satisfied with their work ethic.

“They just sit there and wait,” he told XXL. “When someone works for you, you have the habit of dealing with things by not dealing with them. You may get in the regimen of coming over and doing it for them.

“I actually haven’t spoke to ‘em very much,” he continued. “I’m to fault for that, though. I think I disabled them.”

When asked to explain his “disabling” comment, 50 Cent said, “I did so much for them that they don’t have a continuous work ethic. They got both of those tapes out there, but did you see any visuals? Anything? There’s certain things that the new guy is doing to create momentum or energy.”

In the two months since 50 Cent’s original comments, both Banks and Yayo have released mixtapes in the form of V6: The Gift and Sex, Drugs and Hip-Hop.

Pressed for further explanation of their respective mixtapes, 50 Cent said, “Dropping mixtapes…that was my ’02 strategy. That’s 2002 marketing. That’s old. You did nothing if you did that. Look what I’ve done with The Lost Tape or The Big 10. There’s videos for everything that was on the tapes. If you’re going to just wing it and drop a mixtape…pick the highlights that people like most and shoot ‘em.”

50 Cent recently released “New Day” featuring Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys as the first single from his upcoming fifth studio album, StreetKing Immortal, scheduled to drop on November 13.

Jimmy Henchman Sentencing Delayed

Image

Sentencing for James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond has been delayed AllHipHop.com has learned.

James Rosemond stood trial for two weeks during the monthof June, on federal cocaine distribution charges, stemming from allegations that he ran a Continuous Criminal Enterprise (CCE).

Rosemond ran Czar Entertainment, which managed artists like Game, Mario Winans, Brandy, Sean Kingston and others.

But federal prosecutors claimed Rosemond supplemented his legitimate music industry business by heading up The Rosemond Organization, a drug gang.

The Rosemond Organization allegedly imported hundreds-of-kilos each week to New York, while sending millions in illegal proceeds to the west coast, using road cases for recording equipment.

On June 5, 2012, a jury found James Rosemond was found guilty of all charges levied against him. Rosemond was supposed to be sentenced on October 18, but the sentencing date has been delayed.

Rosemond’s publicist said the mogul’s family remained positive, despite the fact that he is facing a life sentence for the drug distribution charges.

“I’m not exactly sure why Jimmy’s sentencing was postponed but I do know Mr. Rosemond is doing well and is remaining positive and his family and colleagues will be at the sentencing and remain supportive,” Sibrena Stowe de Fernandez, of LaChic Media told AllHipHop.com.

The same month (June of 2012), James Rosemond and six other men were indicted for the murder of Lowell “Lodi Mac” Fletcher, a Bloods gang member and associate of 50 Cent’s, who was gunned down in the Bronx.

Lodi Mac had served two years in prison, in part, for his role in striking James Rosemond’s young son, during an altercation in Manhattan involving Tony Yayo.
Police claim Rosemond offered Brian McCleod, Torae Jackson and three other men a few kilos of cocaine in exchange for murdering Lodi Mac, who was shot and killed in September 2009.

James Rosemond’s next hearing for sentencing isn’t unti April 26, 2013.

Lupe Fiasco Says There’s A “Substantial Lack Of Substance” In Commercial Hip Hop

Image

Rapper Lupe Fiasco again shares his thoughts on commercial Hip Hop, speaks on the need for record labels to be in control.

Just days after expressing his frustration with the redundancy of Hip Hop during an interview with HOT 93.7’s Jenny Boom Boom, Windy City rapper Lupe Fiascois back at it again giving his commentary on the genre. During the rapper’s most recent promo stop at Louisiana’s Xavier University he touched on commercial Hip Hop, record labels, and more while being interviewed by producer Mannie Fresh.

When asked about present day Hip Hop, Lupe touched on the two different sides of the genre, cultural and commercial, and also spoke on the lack of substance in today’s commercial Hip Hop.

“There’s like the culture of Hip Hop which is Crazy Legs, Big Daddy Kane, and rap dudes who paint on the train stations in Paris to the dudes who deejay competitions in Japan,” Lupe explained in a video posted on MightyMuzik.com. “Everything that is Hip Hop from the good, the bad, the ugly, everything else. And I think you got the commercial side of Hip Hop. Everything that you hear on the radio, everything that’s for sale so to speak. And I think that today there’s a very substantial lack of substance in the commercial side of it. Which even affects some of the cultural side of it to because they are one in the same.”

The rapper also spoke on his creativity being stifled by a label whose main goal he believes is to be in control.

“It’s always a compromise,” said the rapper. “Even when I do what I want to do. They take it out of me on the backend, ‘Ah okay, you can do whatever you want but you know we’re not gonna really pay for the videos.’ They leverage it on you. You know how they do, how they get down. It’s about control at the end of the day. They don’t really necessarily care what you make, what kind of music it is: the most positive, the most negative, the wackest, or the dopest. They just wanna make sure that they got control over it to a certain extent.”
