Future Thinks He Can Win Against JAY-Z in Verzuz

Future thinks he can take on JAY-Z in a Verzuz battle.

After declaring himself “bigger than Jigga” in the streets, the Atlanta rapper is weighing in on a potential matchup with Hov.

Big Bank, co-host of the “Big Facts Podcast,” shared his belief that people in Future’s hometown of Atlanta think Hndrxx could beat JAY-Z if they were to do Verzuz.

“I promise you, errbody from Atlanta feels like Pluto can win a Verzuz against Hov!” wrote Big Bank.

Future seemingly agreed that he could rival the Roc Nation boss and reposted the comment on his own IG Story.

This is not the first time Future has compared himself to Hov. He recently drew backlash for calling himself bigger than JAY-Z. “In the streets I’m bigger than jigga,” he tweeted last week. “Everything I do legendary or it want get done.”

But while Future may think he’s a worthy competitor, JAY-Z is not about to step in the Verzuz ring with anyone but himself.

“Can’t nobody stand on that stage with me. I ain’t gonna lie-no disrespect, everyone’s amazing in what they’ve done. No one can stand on stage with me,” he said during a recent Twitter Spaces chat.

“There’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me for I don’t know how long it is, two hours,” he added. “You gotta stand in front of the ‘Grammy Family (Freestyle)’ live. No one’s ever even seen me perform that and you gotta stand in front of that. That ain’t gonna never happen, man.”

Roddy Ricch Addresses Saweetie Romance Rumors

Roddy Ricch and Saweetie

Roddy Ricch is putting the romance rumors to rest.

Back in October, the Compton rapper was spotted courtside at the Lakers vs. Suns game and Saweetie just happened to be seated next to him. After seeing photos of them together at Staples Center, social media was in a frenzy as some fans assumed that they were a couple.

While promoting his new album LIVE LIFE FAST on REAL 92.3’s “Big Boy’s Neighborhood,” Roddy addressed the speculation over his love life.

“For all the females out there, stop sitting by me next to the games,” he joked. “I was sitting down first.”

Roddy admitted that people hit him up asking about the rumors, but he was just there enjoying his birthday and was more focused on the game than who was seated next to him.

“I’m at the game, it’s my birthday, I’m faded out my mind,” he said. “I ain’t thinking about nobody sitting next to me. I’m trying to watch the Lakers. They lost by 30 that game.”

While he may not be dating Saweetie, Roddy has been romantically involved with girlfriend Allie Kay. The couple welcomed a baby boy in May 2020.

Meanwhile, Saweetie has recently been linked to Lil Baby. The Atlanta rapper reportedly dropped nearly $100,000 on the ICY GRL during a shopping spree at the Chanel store.

Travis Scott Starting Committee to Improve Concert Safety After Astroworld

Travis Scott is following through on his vow to make sure a tragedy like Astroworld never occurs again.

The rapper has reportedly spent the last few weeks meeting with leaders from the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM), a group that represents the interests of more than 1,400 cities across the country.

According to TMZ, his goal is to form a committee made up of members of government, public safety, emergency response, health care event management, music and technology, and create a safety report for future shows to follow and ensure safety and security.

The group, which will be led by the Chair of the Conference’s Tourism, Art, Parks, Entertainment and Sports Committee and Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, says it will “aggressively focus on new technologies and innovations that offer ways to address these challenges.”

In his first interview since the Nov. 5 Houston festival, which resulted in 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries, Travis said he is committed to finding a solution to prevent tragedies like Astroworld from happening again.

“I have a responsibility to figure out what happened here. I have a responsibility to figure out the solution,” he said. “At the end of the day, collectively, everyone just needs to figure out the bottom line solution.”

He also addressed the grieving families. “I’ll say to them, I’m always here. I’m in this with you guys and I love you, and I’ll always be there to help you guys heal through this,” he said. “It’s not just a right now thing, it’s a forever thing. These people that came to the show, they are my family. I’ll always have that connection to the people that listen to the music or came to my shows.”

Travis reportedly insisted on doing the interview with Charlamnagne Tha God to show that he really cared. However, it was not well received by everyone. An attorney for one of the victims, 23-year-old Rudy Peña, said the interview was painful for them to watch.

“It seemed to kind of be an exercise in expressing his feelings to the public,” Valerie Cortinas Fisher told TMZ. “As far as Rudy’s family goes, it didn’t heal them, no.”

Megan Thee Stallion Slams Coverage of Tory Lanez Shooting Trial

Megan Thee Stallion is blasting the reporting surrounding the Tory Lanez shooting trial.

During Tuesday’s preliminary hearing, a detective testified that an independent witness told cops he observed a fight break out between Megan and her friend and former assistant, Kelsey Harris, just moments before Meg was shot in the foot on July 12, 2020. The witness claimed the gun’s muzzle flash went off closer to Kelsey than Tory.

Tory’s team feels that the evidence raises questions and casts doubt about what Meg said about Tory being the shooter.

“Megan herself corroborated this account, telling officers shortly after the incident that the argument was between her and the other female passenger in the car,” says Tory’s attorney, Shawn Holley. “The independent witness also told officers that the muzzle flash was closest to the other female, which is corroborated by the gunshot residue found on the other female’s hands.”

Adds Holley, “It was further established that Megan gave several inconsistent accounts of what happened that night and that she omitted key information to the police. We look forward to the opportunity to cross examine her at trial about the numerous inconsistencies in her story.”

According to TMZ, Holley is referring to Meg telling responding officers that her injury was caused by broken glass, and not a bullet. She had previously explained that in the wake of George Floyd, she feared cops would shoot Tory if she told them a Black man had shot her.

Taking to Twitter, Megan slammed the media for trying to distract from the fact that she was shot. “Like I’ve been SHOT and the focus of some these headlines are dismissing that I was attacked with a WEPON WHILE I WAS UNARMED and trying to paint it as a cat fight between friends,” she tweeted. “Why do I have to relive this with everyone on the internet every day ? And watch y’all gaslight me.”

LAPD Detective Ryan Stogner testified Tuesday that an “intoxicated” Lanez shouted, “Dance bitch, dance!” before shooting Meg in the foot, and that he later apologized to Kelsey for doing something while drunk.

Stogner’s testimony convinced a judge that Tory should stand trial on felony charges. Before the ruling, Holley suggested that Kelsey became jealous after Tory claimed in the car that he and Megan had slept together and that Kelsey may have had possession of the gun that shot Megan.

A trial is now set to begin on Jan. 13. Tory is facing one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in a manner that caused great bodily injury, and one count of carrying a concealed, unregistered weapon. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in state prison.

Flavor Flav Nearly Crushed After Boulder Hits His Car

Flava Flav

Flavor Flav is lucky to be alive after a near-fatal car accident.

The Public Enemy rapper was driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles on Tuesday when the rain caused a boulder to fall down a cliffside in La Tuna Canyon, landing on the right side of his car. According to TMZ, the impact caused Flav to briefly lose control of the vehicle, but he was able to safely get it to the side of the road.

If he was driving a few feet in the other direction, the boulder could have killed him. A motorist reportedly saw the accident and pulled over to ensure that Flav was safe.

“He is very fortunate to be alive and realizes it was an extremely close call,” his manager tells E! News. “It was a boulder approximately 5 to 6 feet in diameter.”

The 62-year-old Rock & Rock Hall of Famer was able to walk away, but he is mentally shaken up. He is speaking following the harrowing incident and tells TMZ that he “came very close to death but is super grateful to be alive.”

His car, however, didn’t fare so well. Photos from the accident show damage to the front and passenger side of the white Audi. Flav’s team called AAA after the accident to have the vehicle towed.

Tory Lanez Ordered to Stand Trial in Megan Thee Stallion Shooting

Tory Lanez will stand trial in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

During a preliminary hearing in L.A. on Tuesday, a judge upheld the assault charges against Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, and ordered him to return to court for arraignment in January.

Megan was shot following a dispute in an SUV in the Hollywood Hills on July 12, 2020. While testifying in court, LAPD Det. Ryan Stogner claims that Tory shouted “Dance bitch, dance!” and fired gunshots at the ground near Megan’s feet.

Stogner says that as soon as Tory fired the shots, she “immediately felt pain to her feet, observed blood, fell to the ground, and then crawled to an adjacent driveway of a residence.”

According to TMZ, Stogner also said that Megan told him Tory apologized and begged her not to tell, even offering money to keep her quiet because he was on probation.

Megan initially explained her injury by claiming she stepped on broken glass. In the wake of George Floyd, she feared cops would shoot Tory if she told them a Black man had shot her, something Megan has previously said.

A reporter for the Los Angeles Times says that Tory’s attorney appeared to hint that another person in the car, a friend of Megan’s, may have actually pulled the trigger.

A trial is now set to begin on Jan. 13. Tory is facing one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in a manner that caused great bodily injury, and one count of carrying a concealed, unregistered weapon. He has pled not guilty to the charges.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in state prison.

Cardi B Confirms New Album in 2022

2022 will bring a new album from Cardi B.

The rapper confirmed that her long-awaited sophomore album will finally arrive sometime next year. While going live on Instagram, Cardi shared the big news with fans.

“It’s been a lot trying to balance out my new motherfu**in’ life,” said the mother of two. “I have a lot of jobs now. I’m in a lot of positions that require a lot of my time, and on top of that, I gotta put out this album next year.”

Cardi has been hard at work on the follow-up to her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy. Earlier this year, she opened up about the album’s direction.

“My music is always going to make a woman feel like a bad bitch. When you make a woman feel like she’s the baddest bitch in the room, to me, that’s female empowerment,” she told ELLE. “But this album is going to be really different. Of course, it’s going to have my Lemonade moments, my personal relationship moments.”

Meanwhile, her single “I Like It” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny was just certified Diamond by the RIAA after moving 10 million units in the U.S. She becomes the first female rapper ever to have three Diamond singles, including “Bodak Yellow” and Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”

In addition to putting out an album, the Hustlers actress will start shooting a new movie next year. In January, it was announced that she had landed her first starring role in the Paramount comedy Assisted Living, which has been compared to films like Tootsie, Sister Act, and Mrs. Doubtfire.

“Not only do I got to put out an album, but I gotta record my movie, I gotta do so much sh*t,” said Cardi, who was recently named Playboy’s First-Ever Creative Director in Residence.

DaBaby Hit with Bottles During Rolling Loud Performance

DaBaby made his return to the Rolling Loud stage, less than five months after his headline-making controversy.

The North Carolina rapper performed on Day 3 of Rolling Loud California in San Bernardino, Calif., but not everyone welcomed him back. While performing his No. 1 hit “Rockstar” during his Sunday set, he was pelted with objects including water bottles.

But instead of confronting the culprits, the self-proclaimed “Live Show Killa” took the high road and continued on with his performance to a packed crowd at the NOS Events Center.

His DJ, however, acknowledged the backlash from DaBaby’s homophobic rant. “Cancel who?!” he asked at one point.

Despite the bottle throwing, DaBaby seemed to win over the crowd in the end. One video showed him going into the audience as fans sang along to every word of “Suge.”

Back in July, DaBaby was performing during Rolling Loud Miami when he made offensive remarks towards the LGBTQ+ community. “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” he said.

As a result, he was pulled from several festival lineups including Lollapalooza, Day N Vegas, and Governors Ball. He apologized to the LGBTQ+ community for his “hurtful and triggering comments,” but the apology was later removed from his social media accounts.

In the wake of his “cancelation,” he privately met with leaders from HIV awareness organizations. However, three of the nine organizations he met with claimed they have not heard from DaBaby since the meeting and never received a donation from the rapper.

In October, DaBaby joined 50 Cent as a surprise guest during the latter’s set at Rolling Loud New York. He is currently on his “Live Show Killa Tour,” presented by Rolling Loud, which runs through Feb. 6 in Los Angeles.

In addition to DaBaby, Rolling Loud California featured performances from Chris Brown, J. Cole, Kid Cudi, Roddy Ricch, and Future, who brought out Kanye West.

50 Cent Continues to Troll Madonna After She Calls Him Out for ‘Fake Apology’

50 Cent and Madonna continue to spar on social media.

Last month, 50 mocked the pop icon by blasting a risqué photo that showed her ass and legs sticking out from under a bed.

“yo this is the funniest shit LOL. That’s Madonna under the bed trying to do like a virgin at 63. She shot out, if she don’t get her old ass up,” he captioned it.

After seeing the memes and jokes at her expense, the 63-year-old singer called him out for “pretending to be her friend.”

“I guess your new career is getting attention by trying to humiliate others on social media, the least elevated choice you could make as an artist and an adult,” Madonna wrote alongside a photo of the two of them together from 2003. “You’re just jealous you won’t look as good as me or have as much fun when you’re my age!”

50 offered an apology before deleting it. “I must have hurt Madonna feelings, she went and dug up a old MTV photo from 03. Ok Im sorry i did not intend to hurt your feelings,” he wrote. “I don’t benefit from this in anyway i said what i thought when i saw the picture because of where i had seen it before i hope you accept my apology.”

But Madonna is not buying it. On Saturday, she released a video in which she clapped back at his “fake apology.”

“You were trying to shame me, you were trying to humiliate me,” she said in a cartoon-filtered clip. “Your apology is fake, it’s bullshit, and it’s not valid.”

She shared a throwback clip of 50 boasting about their friendship, adding, “An apology is not valid if you don’t know what you’re apologizing for. What you should be apologizing for is your misogynistic, sexist, ageist behavior, and remarks.”

But hours later, 50 was back to trolling the Material Girl, posting a series of photos of people mimicking her pose, which he called the “Like a Virgin 63 Challenge.”

“well what a positive influence you are. LOL #likeavirgin63 challenge. I’m sorry, SORRY DIDN’T WORK !” he wrote.

He also took aim at Bow Wow for liking Madonna’s post. “I see BOW WOW mad i told everybody he took that money home from that strip club,” wrote the “Power” producer. “Fool that money was for the dancers!”

Chris Brown may be adding to his family.

A new report claims that the R&B superstar is expecting his third child. Brown’s ex-girlfriend, model Diamond Brown, is pregnant and due any day now.

While Diamond has not revealed whether Chris is the father, she did confirm the pregnancy by showing off her baby bump on Instagram. “35 weeks today,” she captioned a recent selfie.

In another photo, the glowing mom-to-be cradled her growing belly. “Good morning my sweet baby,” said Diamond, who celebrated her baby shower a month ago.

According to Radar Online, the mother of Chris’ son Aeko, Ammika Harris, isn’t happy and has seemingly been blocking people who comment about Chris’ alleged third child on her IG posts.

Chris himself has not addressed the report. But if the rumors are true, this will be his third child. He and Ammika have a 2-year-old son named Aeko Catori. In 2014, he welcomed his daughter, Royalty, with ex-girlfriend Nia Guzman.

Chris and Diamond have previously sparked romance rumors. Onsite claims that they were photographed on several occasions and Chris was flirting and liking her pictures the day Ammika announced her pregnancy in 2019.
