Lil Wayne has been doing a ton of nightclub shows around the country in support of his most recently released mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait 2. Just last night Wayne was in Anaheim California taking to the stage and brought along a special announcement for his fans. The Free Weezy Album will be dropping on July 4^th just in time for all the family BBQ and festivities. Details of the album still remain under lock and key and everything is hinting at TIDAL exclusivity which would alienate a ton of Waynes Loyal fans but we’ll see what happens. BET has been steadily letting people know who will be performing at the upcoming BET Awards. Kendrick Lamar and Chris Brown were recently announced which garnered a lot of excitement from their fans. Yesterday BET announced that Meek Mill and Ne-Yo will be joining the list of performers which could also bring Nicki Minaj out too like Meek has been doing at some of his bigger performances lateley. The Awards will be at L.A.’s Microsoft Theater live on Sunday, June 28^th at 8PM.

Eminem just executive produced the upcoming film “Southpaw” and is now getting right back to it. Em will be taking on the same role for a brand new television series called “Narc” and will also be writing music for the series. The show will be based on the movie of the same name and produced by the director of the 2002 movie, Joe Carnahan. The new series will take place in Detroit and be about a cop who goes undercover investigating a murder. The pilot episode for the series is already complete and is being taken around to networks to see if anyone wants to pick it up. Keep it here for updates on this series.

Slim the Mobster was at one time an up and coming protege of Dr. Dres until it was cut short by jail time. Slim spent the last two years behind bars and is now a free man and picking up right where he left off reuniting with Dr. Dre and tweeting out a photo from a studio session. So we can expect some fresh music form Slim with the production value of Dre so any upcoming projects are something we should keep on our radars. Keep it locked right here for any updates.

Just yesterday The Game and Drake where in Compton shooting a video for an upcoming song thats called “100”. The song will be on The Games upcoming Documentary 2 album. Tidal is trying very hard to gain some popularity with exclusives you can only get with their service. Mary J. Blige is going to be doing a special Tidal exclusive show in front of the Statue Of Liberty. This event is said to be apart of the “Made In America Presents the Monument Series” which could mean that we could see a lot more artist in front of famous monuments. The stream is happening on June 21^st at 9PM.

A rapper from 1990 by the name of MC Supreme was killed in a car crash this last weekend in Malibu. Dewayne Coleman aka MC Supreme was only 47-years old and was killed when a pick up truck crashed into his car that was parked on the shoulder of the Pacific Coast Highway. Coleman was pronounced dead on the scene while a woman in the passenger seat with unknown injuries was taken to the hospital. The driver of the pick up was arrested under the suspicion of a DUI. MC Supremes best known song is “Black In America”.

Back in November Xzibit got caught driving home drunk after his wedding. He got a DUI and spent a night in jail. Now today he has plead guilty to the charge. TMZ is reporting that Xzibit blew a .14 which is two times the legal limit and as punishment he will have three years probation and have to go through an alcohol education progam this year.

In an interview on ESPN’s “Highly Questionable” Yelawolf talked about his struggle with alcohol. Yelawolf says that Eminem wanted him to slow down on his drinking and he had talked a little about that.  “No one controls my drinking, but me. I’m the only person that can control that. God himself could not control my drinking. I’m admittedly an alcoholic and it’s a problem. I wrote a song about it called “Empty Bottles” on Love Story. You know, I’m not proud of it but it’s in my genes. I do take breaks. I was sober for five months. That was my last sober streak. I’m back drinking again. It is what it is.” After that he talks about how he hates being sober “I can’t deal with sober. It just sucks. I’m not a role model. I don’t expect people to watch this or parents to watch this and go buy my album because I am a role model. I’m not that guy. I’m just doing me, and if I wanna drink I’m gonna drink. If I wanna party, I’m gonna party. That’s it. Drinking is my vice. When I’m done working, I’m gonna have a drink, that’s what I’m gonna do.” Check out the interview below.

Taking to twitter Meek Mill decided to send some words to YG. If you don’t know already YG was just shot three times in the hip and is recovering in a hospital. Meek decided to send out this tweet to the young rapper “@YG lets smarten up…..We know what come with it! Let’s get this money!” It remains unknown why YG was shot but Meek is saying that he needs to be more cautious and that is very good advice. Meek has done tribute songs for both Lil Snupe and Chinx who are two rappers who were murdered recently and it looks like he doesn’t want to have to do it for YG too.

Everyone got so hyped when when Lil Wayne at a recent show told everyone “I just signed a deal with my motherfucking idol, Jay Z.” This one statement made everyone believe Lil Wayne was actually joing Roc Nation with Beyonce, Rihanna, J.Cole, Kanye, and Jay Z himself but that is sadly just not the case as Waynes manager, Cortez Bryant, made clear. Lil Wayne was simply repeating the fact that he is a co-owner of Tidal now and the internet has taken his announcement out of context. War still rages on with Cash Money so hopefully his new partnership with Tidal allows him to get his Free Weezy Album out sooner.

Last year Riff Raff broke out onto the scene with his debut album Neon Icon. Now just the other day TMZ caught up with the rapper asking him what he was doing in L.A. and his answer to that question was “Working on that big album. Peach Panther sophomore album.” Then Riff Raff talks about who he’s got on the album this time around like Just Bieber and he is trying to get Drake and Lil Wayne. ”Drake might come through. Wayne, Weezy. I already got Bieber on the album,” Riff Raff said.

Bonnaroo has one thing not many other music festivals have and that is jam sessions with some being planned out and some just happening on the spot in the heat of the moment. The Earth, Wind & Fire jam session goes under the just happened on the spot catergory. They invited a couple rappers on stage with them to end thier performance but it wasn’t just any two rappers they got Kendrick Lamar and Chance the Rapper. With no plan at all they gave a true jam session to the people and thanks to people recording it you can check out some clips from the session. Both Kendrick and Chance passed each other the mic back and forth going straight off the top while Earth, Wind & Fire laid down some amazing music. Check out some clips below.

There were studio cameras rolling when YG was shot in the hip three times just outside of the studio in San Fernando Valley. Cops say YG is not cooperating with them but the cops now have a lead from video footage captured at the scene. TMZ is reporting that the footage shows both the shooting and a fight that broke out in the studio just before. YG is recovery well which was confirmed by Dj Mustard just this morning.

After Safaree Samuels dropped his new song “Love The Most” Nicki responded over twitter saying Safaree was unfaithful and more. Safaree responded when he was approached by TMZ about cheating and he doesn’t deny that he did but also says “It’s a two-way street” implying that Nicki was cheating on him too while they were together. Samuals says the record was not a diss but he was just making a statement. Check out the clip below.
