Just last week Nicki Minaj and Beyonce dropped their music video for “Feeling Myself” on the TIDAL streaming service and this trend doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Nicki Minaj has now dropped another TIDAL exlcusive music video for her song “The Night Is Still Young” which must have Nicki fans finding it even harder not to cough up the cash for the streaming service. Hopefully this trend either picks up steam or ends so more of the fanbase can listen to their favorite artists.
Taking to twitter recently Wiz Khalifa has announced that he is working on a new project. The next album has Wiz fans very excited because it will be a sequal to what some think is his best work, “Rolling Papers”. The tweet posted by Wiz read “Rolling Papers 2: The Weed Album” but with no release date or any other information we still have no idea when this project will be dropping but keep it locked for updates.
Flavor Flav is probably best known for being the hypeman of the old school rap duo Public Enemy or for the younger generation as the guy from the “Flavor Of Love” reality tv show. The last couple years have been rough for Flav with him dealing with legal troubles. TMZ is now reporting that the 56 year-old has been arrested in Las Vegas this morning after he was pulled over and was charged with DUI, and marijuana possesion but on top of that he will be charged with speeding, having an open container, lack of registration, and driving with a suspended license. Today Nicki Minaj was asked about a much rumored collaboration with Jay Z over twitter and she answered and deleted her answer quickly after. Nicki didn’t give much information but she said that the track would be dropping in three days. The rumor is that the track will be called “F*CKUPITCHIN” since album art for it made its way onto the internet a little while back. Chances are with this being a track from two big TIDAL streaming service supporters the track just might be exclusive to the service, at least for a little while.
Just last week Young Buck is said to have slipped up on his drug test that he is required to do during his probation. Bucks probation officer spoke with none other then TMZ and told them he saw Young Buck using “a tube to shoot a ‘yellow substance’ into his drug testing cup.” Buck said that he had inhaled secondhand smoke at first but eventually confessed that he had got high with Snoop Dogg. Now Buck faces more jail time for violation of his probation which is truly a shame since he has gone 13 months clean with a total of 21 tests.
A full record called “Can I” that is Drake featuring Beyonce leaked online last night. The leak at first was just a snippet and was getting taken down as fast as it was getting uploaded online but now the whole track is on the web for all to hear with a simple search. The track is Drake and Beyonce going back and forth and sounds really promising. If this is a track on Drakes upcoming album “View From The 6ix” then fans have a lot of reason to start getting excited.
Kendrick has never done a daytime television show until now. Next week Kendrick Lamar will be peforming on the Ellen which will mark the first time K.Dot ever performed for daytime television. Kendrick will be performing his song “These Walls” of of his latest album “To Pimp A Butterfly”. The episode will be aired next Wednesday on May 27th.

Both rappers Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne have decided to take up DJ’ing. TMZ is reporting that both artist have been inspired by Snoop Dogg who has gotten some success from being a DJ. Lil Wayne is reported to want $60,000 for a DJ event so he might not be DJ’ing any kids birthday parties. Wiz will only run you about $25,000 though so but both artist want high class treatment and first class flights to get to your event. In a recent interview with Hot 97 Machine Gun Kelly opened up a little bit about his relationship with Amber Rose. Last month photos of Kelly and Rose popped up online which spawned rumors that the two were seeing each other much to some of Kelly’s fans dismay. The N.W.A biopic is well on its way to being in theaters later on this summer and though the main focus of the film is the main members of N.W.A, Snoop Dogg will be portrayed as well. Snoop did a interview recently with DJ Whoo Kidd and talked about who he ideally had in mind for the role saying “I would’ve preferred Nipsey Hussle for the look, but Nipsey wanted to do his own thing, which I respect.” Nipsey Hussles reasoning for not taking the part was because he didn’t want to be stuck being compared to Snoop forever more.
On Sunday night the Billboard Music Awards were on television and Kanye performed his hit single “All Day” and “Black Skinhead” and both were heavily censored. So today Kanye issued a statement about the situation via his publicist. “Kanye West was grossly over-censored at the Billboard Music Awards. Non-profane lyrics such as “with my leather black jeans on” were muted for over 30 second intervals. As a result, his voice and performance were seriously misrepresented. It is ridiculous that in 2015, unwarranted censorship is something that artists still have to fight against. Before doing a show in Riverton, Wyoming last Saturday, Layzie Bone, from Bone thugs-n-harmony met an erratic driver while on the highway. The driver drove off of the road and spun out and Layzie Bone along with other crew members approached the car. The driver was delirious and not able to recognize anyone that’s why Layzie found out the driver, who is 24 years old, was a diabetic and a fan. Layzie gave aid to the driver by giving him chocolate and fruits that increased his blood sugar. When interviewed by the local news Layzie simply said “I’m not doing this interview to be like no hero, I’m not that person. I genuinely care about people… When I see negative things that happen as a blessing, I make it into music.” Check out the interview below.
A director by the name of Gobi Rahimi has created a indigogo campaign trying to fund a movie he seeks to create that is about the final seven days of Tupac’s life. The film spans from the day Tupac was shot on September 7, 1996 while in Las Vegas up until his death. If you didn’t know already Rahimi directed a few of Tupac’s music videos which include “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted”, “Hit Em UP”, and “To Live & Die in L.A.” “I was waiting for Tupac at club 662 in Las Vegas after the Mike Tyson fight on September 7, 1996, soon after, I was informed by rapper Nate Dogg that Tupac and Suge Knight had been shot and taken to University Hospital. I immediately rushed there to be by Tupac’s side. This was the first of an emotional 7 days that I sat guard over Tupac who was in an induced coma, riding the line between life and death. 7Dayz is the story of my experience at the hospital amidst death threats, undercover FBI informants and an uncooperative Police Department.” The goal for his campaign is $300,000 which will cover everything. At this time the film has raised a little more than $4,300.
TMZ is reporting that Drake and Diddy have squashed their beef with a phone call back in mid-april. The reasoning for them deciding to end the beef is because they are going to be seeing a lot of each other during events of theirs this summer that they will both be at. Drake has valuable assets on his team that Diddy might want access to like the beat maker Boi-1da so settling this beef really is good for both parties.
