A song was leaked today by Rich Homie Quan  where he says some very offensive things about raping a girl. The song was supposedly never supposed to see the light of day and for good reason but that didn’t happen and it is on the internet for all to hear. The lyrics where “I don’t want your ho, just want that cookie from her / She tried to resist, so I took it from her / How are you gonna tell me no? You must not know who I am.” The snippet of the song is now being taken down from everywhere upon request by Rich Homie Quan himself so if you would like to hear it you may have to do some digging. Hopefully Rich Homie Quan can explain himself and this doesn’t ruin his image too much. A statement was issued by Quan and it read ““I Made It” was never intended to be released. The song was not lyrically what I wanted to say and was not completed. Without my knowledge, there was a studio leak of the recording. I apologize that it’s out; and I have asked my lawyer to pursue a cease and desist on the song immediately. To be clear, I would never condone rape.”

As we all know Tyga is dating Kylie Jenner who happens to only be 17 years old and the internet has not been nice to him but now people in real life are taking part. A street artist by the name of Hansky has been hanging up fake “Neighborhood Watch” signs at the Calabasas High School campus that have Tyga’s face on them. The signs say “Any suspicious activity will be reported to our local paparazzi,” The street artist just doesn’t like that 25 year old Tyga is with 17 year old Kylie keep it locked right here for updates on if Tyga responds to this.

 

Young Thug if you don’t already know is going to be getting married sometime in the future to his fiancée Jerrika Karlae. The couple sat down for an interview with DJ Vlad talking about their relationship. They also talked about doing something special but private for their wedding and then Young Thug revealed that he is writing a whole album about his woman. Check out the interview down below.

Lil Wayne and Christina Milians relationship hasn’t really been open to the public in fact most people wouldn’t even know that they are a couple. Now things seem to be getting a bit more official since Christian now has a Lil Wayne tattoo. The tattoo reads “read love hard…TnT” with TnT standing for Wayne and couple names which are Tina Turnup and Tunechi. So now it seems things between the two are getting more serious.

Kendrick Lamar has given the world two classic albums over the last few years and is being recognized in a very big way. California, Kendrick Lamar’s home state, is recognizing his achievements by making him the 35^th person in California’s history to get the state’s “generational icon” award. Kendrick gave a speech at the event saying “Being from the city of Compton and knowing the parks that I played at and neighborhoods, I always thought how great the opportunity would be to give back to my community off what I do and music. To do that from the city all the way to a state standpoint, and have these young kids look at me as some type of inspiration is really an honor and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for honoring me today.” Check out the video down below.

Black Chyna is now trying to get full custody of her and Tyga’s child. It is reported that Chyna now believes that Tyga is unfit to be a parent to their child. Reasoning for this is said to be she doesn’t want their two year old child going from home to home because he is going to be starting preschool soon. Plus she is said to think that Tyga and Kylie Jenner lack maturity and parenting skills and on top of that Black Chyna is seeking child support from Tyga which we can assume will be a very substantial amount of money every month. Kid Cudi fans are anxiously awaiting the arrival of his next album, Speedin’ Bullet To Heaven, so of course when any new music drops everyone jumps on it. Cudi took to twitter to share a small preview of his new music but it was deleted very quickly after. But of course thanks to the internet you can still hear it via youtube. Gucci Mane though still in prison has managed to release several projects last year. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of his debut album “Trap House” so Gucci wrote this letter to all of his fans.  “I dropped my 1st album Traphouse ten years ago May 2005 I remember being proud and angry the day it was released. I was proud of the work I put in and the quality of the project but I was angry that someone had to be killed over a dispute about the rights to some of the contents of the album. 10 years later I reflect on how that day impacted my life and my legacy and I am grateful for all the fans that supported me then and still support me now. Every challenge and obstacle in my life has helped me to become who I am today and provided me with the tests to display my resilience. I hope my life showed someone somewhere that if you endure the storm you will eventually get your chance to shine. I never give up and I have grown and learned so much and still am eager to learn more. I look forward to showing the world how much I have grown and getting out and helping my community. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a recording artist and help others get their chance to be heard. To my fans I love you all and I want you all to know I am motivated and will not let my past decide my future. I chose to not focus my attention on my negativities but on my dreams. Just today Kanye West was honored by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Kanye was awarded an honorary doctorate for fine arts and he gave a speech talking about Paul McCartney and even cracked a joke about George Bush. Bow Wow has just announced that he has left Cash Money after being on the label for five years. Of course this looks bad because it seems people are dropping from the label left and right. Bow Wow says there is no bad blood but he had not put out a single album since he signed so it was an easy decision. “I wanna dictate when my music comes out. I’m tired of going to the studio to make records and then I listen to them. ‘Cuz they get old… I just can’t be held up by nobody. It’s as simple as that.” Now Bow Wow says he will be working closely with Jermaine Dupri again and Snoop Dogg. This could be a good direction for Bow Wow’s career that seems to have been stagnant for many years. Check out the video below of the announcement.

People seem to be dropping from Cash Money all of the time and now one of the labels loudest members has left. DJ Khaled in a new interview with the Breakfast Club said he now has no ties to the label. “I’m not signed to Cash Money at all, “It’s not like I’m here to promote that I’ve been off. No, I’m not that type of person.” Khaled said though he still says he is on good terms with everyone at Cash Money. Check out the interview below.

A LAX jeweler, Robert Marin, has claimed member of 50 Cent’s people assaulted him and stole a watch and chain that were worth $250 thousand. This happened in Vegas on the day of the big Pacquiao v Mayweather fight. The jeweler says he met with 50 while at Drai nightclub and discussed selling him the jewelry for the 250k. Robert then claims that 50 invited him back to Mayweather’s gym but when he showed up 50 was not around and his crew pistol-whipped him and robbed him. 50’s lawyer came out with this statement “On behalf of I can adamantly deny that he or his security had anything to do with these baseless and false allegations.”

The beef between Young Thug and The Game is over and now we have an official apology coming from Young Thug. Young Thug took to Instagram after the beef was squashed between The Game and him had ended. In the posted video Thug said “See the way the world is set up, they want all blacks to kill each other. But we’re not. Black Lives Matter. So I salute Game, I respect him. I’m sorry for making that post about him. Even though he was wrong, and he was in the wrong business, and taking up for a nigga who wasn’t taking up for themselves. It’s all good,” The Game responded giving Thug praise for his maturity and talked about Young Thug should take the next step and squash his beef with Lil Wayne.

Amber Rose showed up at Los Angele’s Supper Club sharing her thoughts about Kanye West with the crowd. The DJ at the club was supposedly playing Kanye songs all night because Amber was there and this caused her to grab the mic and she told the DJ “Stop playing niggas I used to fuck, stop. Why don’t we play the nigga who writes the songs for the other nigga, Travis Scott!” This left the Travis Scott who was in the background really confused. Check out the clip below.

Hip-Hop seems to be taking over the music world at least on the streaming side of it. Sales of albums do keep falling each year but music streaming is on the rise. Nielsen’s report for 2014 showed that 28.5% of all streams last year were in fact hip-hop streams with Rock in second with 24.7% of the music stream space. Streaming seems to be becoming the main way people enjoy their music libraries but is that such a good thing? Only time will tell.
