Though Nicki Minaj’s relationship with Meek Mill seemed like it was fake for the longest time the amount of stuff they post on social media together has let everyone know they are the real deal. A slew of recent post have now lead people to believe that the couple are about to take things to the next level. Today Nicki took to twitter hinting that she would be showing off a new ring with some other post from both Nicki and Meek suggesting that a big event went down last night. Nicki Minaj has posted the pic of the ring now but is this the real thing? Check out the images below.

The Tidal service keeps getting exclusive content this time being from Jay Z himself. Beyonce dropped her video “Die For You” on Tidal recently and Rihanna dropped hers “American Oxygen” exclusively on Tidal which shows that the artist that have a stake in the business are fully supporting it. Jay Z has now joined in dropping a new music video for his track from 2012, “Glory”, that features his daughter Blue Ivy with production from the Neptunes. We will see if this exclusive gets people shelling out the cash to use the service.

Young Thug is all over hip-hop news this week because his album Barter Six will be releasing on Friday. But most of the news is about him taking shots at Lil Wayne now that he officially had to change the name of his album from Carter 6 to Barter Six because the threat of legal action from another party which we can almost guarantee was Lil Wayne’s people. But now Young Thug taunts Lil Wayne more by having the release party for his new album take place in Hollygrove, which if you didn’t know is where Lil Wayne grew up. Doing an interview with XXL, The-Dream has announced that he and collaborator Tricky Stewart with some help from Jay Z himself will be launching an “art label”. The label will be called Contra Paris and isn’t limited to just music. Dream plans to bring the art scene back to the 80s when art and music meshed together very well. “We’ve got these young guys who can be Basquiat with great gifts and I want to couple my music with them and make sure that their shit is being seen because I think that’s what was so great in the 80s.” The-Dream said but when asked if he would be making some music with Hov he wouldn’t speak on it. I’m sure we will be hearing more about this in the future so keep it locked right here.

Ciara has a new album dropping in the beginning of May so of course called Jackie so of course she has to make her rounds on radio. Stopping by the Breakfast Club radio show the 29-year-old singer opened up about her split with Future. “I don’t even think it really matters to tell you the truth, especially when the ending is as great as it is with my son. That’s what worked out—my son.” Ciara said when asked about her and futures undoing and if she’s happy with how things turned out. “I’m human and I went with love in that situation… At the end of the day, I roll with love and my son’s father I really believe had the greatest intentions to love me and a beautiful thing came from that.” She adds when asked if she had any regrets. Ciara seems to be in a good place and hopefully her album “Jackie” really delivers on the R&B front for all her fans.

The bus driver that operated Lil Wayne’s bus back in 2014 during his summer tour is now suing the rapper, saying that Wayne threatened him with a gun. The drivers name was Mark Jones and he says that Wayne began acting really aggressive with him when he wanted to stop for gas after a show in Buffalo. The driver says he kept driving once Wayne had a fit about it and cursed him out. Then he says Wayne continued to verbally abuse him saying he would “whip his ass” and eventually telling he would “finish the job by killing him” according to TMZ and even pulled out a pistol and cocked it telling Jones “I want to get to the hotel now”. The rest of the ride was said to have been extremely silent which is completely understandable. The lawsuit is for “false imprisonment, assault and emotional distress” and make sure to keep it locked right here for more information on this.

Lil Wayne has not said a word about the whole Young Thug situation with him having to change the name of his album from Carter 6 to Barter 6. Young Thug keeps talking about it through over his Instagram posting yet another video with him talking to Wayne. This one went like this “If you’re going to be a founder or a leader and respect when people look up to you be that, if you’re going to criticize, be that. But don’t mix your feelings nigga, that shit weak.” Said Young Thug. Thug obviously is not happy about what Wayne did and is constantly going to be taking shots at Wayne. As we all know Snoop Dogg is pretty much known for his love of weed and now lots of states are starter to legalize the use of it. So of course what does Snoop do? He puts some money into the weed industry that is on the rise. The service is called Eaze and it is being called “the Uber of weed” though it won’t be dropping you off anywhere the service will provide you with medicinal marijuana deliveries. Right now the service is only located in California in 35 different cities delivering in just 15 mins so they will beat any of your food delivery services in delivery time. Snoop invested a whopping $10 million into business and is only one of the few investors.

In this new show on VH1 The Game is going to be looking for love. The Game was previously going to do a show with his former fiancé, Tiffney Cambridge called Marrying The Game but that never happened once they split. The new show, She’s Got Game, centers around The Game looking for love with help from friends that set him up on dates with females they feel are compatible with him. The show will be aired for a hour per week starting this summer if you are into the reality tv scene.

While in Israel Kanye West and Kim had their daughter North West baptized. North was baptized at Saint James Cathedral in Jerusalem. “Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Khloe Kardashian showed up Monday afternoon to the Saint James Cathedral — an Armenian church in Jerusalem — to baptize 22-month-old North, Kim was mobbed as she walked into the church, shielding baby North from the massive crowd that had gathered outside the church.” TMZ reported. After the baptism Ye and Kim had lunch with the mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat.

 

Nelly was arrested over the weekend in Tennessee when Trooper Michael Loftis pulled over his coach bus that had Nelly and 5 others inside at around 9:20 a.m. on Saturday. The reason for pulling the bus over was because the bus failed to display the stickers mandated by U.S. DOT and International fuel tax association. The trooper smelled marijuana and with that he deemed it appropriate to search the bus on probable cause. The trooper found a plastic bag with five colored crystal-type rocks that have tested positive for methamphetamine and a gold-plated 50-caliber desert eagle pistol, 45-caliber tarus pistol, and 500 magnum smith and Wesson. Way back in July of 2014 there were reports that 50 Cent owed Webbie $1 million over a boxing match. Webbie was not happy when 50 Cent didn’t pay up but that has changed. To give you some perspective on the situation Webbie even went so far as to put a song out threatening 50 over the unpaid money. The money was never paid and the beef was squashed but now Webbie has said that 50 could pay him with a verse and has given him a week to do so. Is a 50 Cent verse really worth $1 million dollars these days?

Even though back on Friday Young Thug seemed to not want any problems with Lil Wayne it doesn’t seem that way anymore after the promo video he dropped on Instagram. In the video a woman is narrating a bunch of clips from Young Thug performances saying “Big Killa, young nigga, young fucking money…fuck you I kill you” she says until the voice fades. After that the words “Barter 6” comes up in red text which could possibly mean a name change from the original “Carter 6” title but that still remains to be confirmed. Drake, last night, took to the Coachella stage at around midnight closing out the show. Drake performed hits like “trophies”, “we made it”, and some of his newest songs off of his album “If You’re Reading This Its Too Late”. After performing his song “Madonna” the queen of pop herself at 56 years old got on stage and performed some of her own songs. Before leaving the stage though she walked up behind a chair drake was sitting on and surprised Drake with a short make out session leaving Drizzy Drake in a state of shock.

 

 

Something that not everyone may know is that J. Cole actually graduated from St. John’s University a ways back but for the simple fact that he didn’t return a library book the degree was withheld. But that changed recently when Cole returned to the University and did a show and though he didn’t bring the book back the school waived him of his pending fee and gave him his degree. The school seems quite happy with Cole and the success he found in rap even though he did graduate Summa cum laude with a 3.82 GPA.
