iLoveMakonnen wasn’t always a fan of Drake

makonnen-2014-billboard-650x430

If Drake hadn’t done the “Tuesday” remix we probably would not be talking about iLoveMakonnen right now. The fact that Drake co-signed Makonnen made him blow up a lot faster than he would of on his own is well known. But tweets have just surfaced from back in 2010 and 2011 that tell a different story of Mokonnen’s thoughts about Drake. Some tweets from Makonnen were “I’m so tired of hearing about Drake over hyped washed up ass already”, “whats a bitch ass nigga like you doing? Listening to drake”, “Drake is mad corny! I just heard that practice song, straight cornpuff” None of the tweets seem to be too bad so hopefully Drizzy doesn’t catch wind of the past hate and decide to end collaborations with the young artist.

Tricia was spotted wearing loose-fitting clothing and not drinking any alcoholic beverages while at a New Year show Macklemore was performing at. This is not confirmed but the two have been together for eight years and have been engaged for one year so it seems very likely when put with all of the other evidence gathered.

Logic states his opinion on online activism

Logic-rapper

In today’s world rappers are all over social media talking about their beliefs and politics Logic does things differently making music that is very personal and hits close to home for many. Though logic says he rarely will take action with issues like in Ferguson because he doesn’t consider himself an activist. “I feel like if I go in that direction I will give up Rap. I go all the way. If I’m gonna do something, I’m gonna go all the way. If I’m gonna fight for not Black rights, White, Brown — for the rights of human beings, I’m gonna go all the way. I’m gonna drop everything I’m doing and I’m gonna dedicate my entire life and know that I could be killed for the things that I’m gonna say and the things that I wanna stand up for. That’s the type of person I am.” Logic said. “I think it was Donald Glover, Childish Gambino, a good homie of mine. Really awesome fucking person. He said, ‘We got a bunch of Twitter activists.’ #PrayForThem. #DoSomething. That’s real shit [laughs]. I don’t take to Twitter. I don’t talk about shit on Twitter. I don’t talk about equality amongst men. You know why? Because that’s not my fucking job. That’s not my job. I think my job is to discuss certain things that I believe in on my music and then have that bleed over in to this.” Logic added.

King Los’ Views on Hip Hop

KingLos.304

King Los says Hip Hop has no communication: “We’ve become so elusive because the allure of being unavailable is sexy in our culture. You can’t talk to Jay Z, you can’t call Jay right now. You can’t. I don’t give a fuck if you know him, you can’t talk to Jay. And it’s so funny, man — I got to talk to this guy, to talk to this guy, to talk to this guy, to talk to this guy, to not even ever talk to you, man. In all honesty, I will never fucking talk to you. Lets be real. Let’s be honest, man. Are you going to take five minutes out of your day to actually talk to me so we can really figure out the miscommunications that are happening? Nah. Hip Hop has no communication. So the fact that we have no communication means everybody is fucking broke except for the people that run this shit.”

Young Thug Responds to being called out by Crips for using a gang sign

youngthugbirdman

Young Thug got some people looking at him confused when he threw up a Crip gang sign in a new DeJ Loaf video and the song is called “Blood” plus Thug usually raps about being around Bloods. A West Coast rapper named Glasses Malone took it upon him to call Young Thug out on twitter after seeing the gang sign and saying it was disrespectful. The next day Young Thug responded stating that he is cool with both gangs. “To all my crip Broda’s it’s all love to me bro,” Thug said. Then he continued in another post “I’m just thinking about my motherfuckin’ Crip partners. I don’t want my niggas to feel a certain type of way because I love them, ya dig?” and that’s that hopefully nothing more arises from this misunderstanding.

Big Seans “IDFWU” anthem was originally intended for Justin Bieber

justin-bieber-big-sean

“IDFWU” has been blowing up the clubs ever since it dropped but we have now learned that the hit single from Big Sean was actually supposed to be for Justin Bieber. The songs producer Mike Free said it was actually created with Bieber’s vocals in mind. “Originally I think Justin Bieber was supposed to have it; he had posted a video of a snippet and everything, where it was him doing the song. They ended up not taking it and Big Sean got the song, and I’m glad, because we ended up getting a really strong record for hip-hop.” Mike said. Bieber even gave the track a name which was “Turn Up” but thankfully this never came to light and we got one of the best diss-anthems of the year because of it.
