Frontman, RZA details the relationship between Wu-Tang Clan after working on their newest project: “I’ll level with you, the chemistry’s not all that good right now.  We’ve all done this long enough to know this process isn’t just like, you make an album, then that’s that. It’s like a presidential campaign. You don’t just make the policies then sit back. You create your platform, then you gotta take it to out to the people…It’s like there’s an energy in the group that stops people enjoying their own success. They gotta sabotage it.”

Iggy Azalea has been running hip-hop numerically for the last year with a platinum selling single and multiple grammy nominations. The hip-hop community now has really looked at Iggy and can see that she is building her career by stealing black musical sounds and using her white look to sell big to the masses. This is all fine but what people feel isn’t fine is the fact that she does nothing to actually give back to the hip-hop community. Some black hip-hop artists just aren’t standing for it anymore like Azealia Banks who called Iggy out many times over twitter. Other artist like Tyler, The Creator,  Q-Tip, and Solange Knowles all defended Banks. Q-Tip had the best message to Iggy delivering it over twitter in the form of 40 tweets telling Iggy that Hip-Hop is “Fun” but it should never lose touch with its socio-political movement/culture at its roots.

At a recent show LL Cool J brought out Canibus having previously been enemies with him since 1997. The beef started when the two took shots at one another on LL’s crew track “4,3,2,1” with more diss tracks following that one. Though the beef has calmed over the years the relationship between them seemed like it would never be mended. This all changed when LL brought out Canibus to perform the very song that started the beef seventeen years ago while at Hot 97’s Christmas show last night. “I’ve had a lot of beefs in my life, but sometimes you gotta be bigger than that,” LL said right before rocking the mic with Canibus. In an interview with Rolling Stone Pusha T gave details about his upcoming “King Push” album. “Aw, man, I’m working on it feverishly. It’s amazing. I feel like the sound will be second to none. And of course you already know the raps will be smacking people all left and right. I’ve been working on it constantly. I dropped ‘Lunch Money’ to show how far out me and ‘Ye are going to go, just sonically. Now, I feel like people don’t know where the hell I’m going to go on the next record. Queen Latifah’s talk show has come to an end, causing employees to be laid-off;however, all staff was paid from Latifah’s own pocket. Queen Latifah did make sure to share her thanks with her former staff on Facebook as well: “Your dedication and sacrifice was crucial to the entire team, and in the face of intense challenges, you displayed ‘True Grit’! Thank you for your strong work ethic and great effort in getting The Queen Latifah Show off the ground and running.

Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels recently broke up and have been beefing over Twitter. Nicki recently addressed her ex via Twitter: “Even when I try to protect ppl, they still try to take advantage of me. Havent u learned that God is in control? Stop while you’re ahead.”

“Anything you don’t appreciate will be taken. God sees your ungrateful evil soul. I gave and gave. Threatening me? Blackmail? Jump.”

Riff Raff took it to Twitter to announce the date for his album release;however, he surprised everyone by announcing that he will be releasing two whole albums:

Many people have been speaking about Bobby Shmurda’s recent arrest, Jimmy Henchman saw it as an attack on hip hop: “With everything happening with Bobby Shmurda there’s a need for a rap expert on deck, because the culture is under attack. If they can use 50’s lyrics against me as an executive to prove murder then we all in trouble.”

The Hip Hop Hall of Fame is going to be built and is set to open its doors in Harlem in 2017. It will have various items from hip-hop history like posters, equipment, and entire wardrobes. Some wardrobes donated by artist like Salt-N-Pepa, Run-DMC, Young Jeezy and Common. The former producers of BET’s “Hip-Hop Hall of Fame Awards Show” known simply as JT Thompson is going to be the organizer of the Museums entertainment committee. The project is said to cost $80 million with $50 million of that being raised by crowd sourcing. They hope that this Museum shows people the positive side to hip-hop and not all the negativity.

Iggy and Banks have been going at each other for a while now but after Banks had an emotional interview with Hot 97 radio Iggy fired back at her via twitter. Below are tweets from Iggy after she heard about and maybe even watched Azealia Banks interview.

Recently having broken up with her boyfriend of 12 years Nicki Minaj is rumored to be involved with Meek Mill now. Tmz is now reporting that Safaree has been telling his friends that he has been having suicidal thoughts after the break up.  “He’s become a shut-in, spends days and nights smoking weed, and has talked openly about suicide,” Tmz wrote. “Safaree is telling friends he won’t get in touch with Nicki because she’s now hooked up with Meek Mill. He says it’s torture for him, because he believes Meek Mill destroyed his relationship with Nicki over false claims he cheated.”
