Rapper Beanie Sigel has reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the torso after an altercation in Pleasantville, New Jersey. This all went down this morning and after Beanie had just been released from prison in August. Sigel was just recently on his first new track since his release from prison. The Atlantic City press wrote this about Beanie “Sigel was shot in the torso and transported to AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center’ city campus. Police confirmed the victim as Dwight Grant, which is Sigel’s real name. The second victim reportedly refused medical treatment on the scene, the cause or extent of the injury was not immediately available. The shooting was reported at 9:25 this morning at 834 Spruce Ave. No information on additional victims or the shooter was immediately available.” There is no word on the extent of his injuries just yet but of course we will keep you up to date with the situation.

 

Though it seems like Tyga and now Lil Wayne are ready to up and leave Cash Money behind Lil Waynes manager has said otherwise. Cortez Bryant, which is Waynes long time manager, says that everything is “good” with the label. Tmz confronted Cortez leaving a club last night and when asked about the situation he replied “We good.” “I’m smiling” and added “I wouldn’t be out at the club right now.” Cortez also said “Tyga’s good too. That’s my brother” So it would seem as though things may have already have been mended within the label but only time will tell and we will keep you up to date with any big moves that Wayne or Tyga make.

Tyga tweeted out yesterday “#TheGoldAlbum is going to my first independent release 2015.” This tweet came after a tweet where he called Lil Wayne a “LEGEND.” He obviously called Wayne this because of him calling out the record label Cash Money. There are no further details on Tygas delayed album but the drama within the Young Money Cash Money walls has really been coming to light and it will be interesting to see what happens from here on.

Under his home in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles Dr. Dre is having a 10,000 square foot studio built. Having bought a 20,000 square foot house just after Apple officially bought beats he has more than enough room. It also seems that he is having it built because he is going to work on a new project that isn’t detox but something big hopefully we will get actual information on this project next year and maybe even a release date.

Lil Wayne’s tweets from today say it all, Cash Money Records refuse to release Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne is fed up:

“To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it.”

“This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation.”

“I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy”

Many people are all riled up about the recent Eric Garner and Mike Brown tragedies; Puff Daddy has finally had enough and spoke out to the people via Instagram: “I can’t take it anymore! It’s Enough, and enough is enough! Honestly my emotions are all over the place. We as artists, myself included, all have to step up and be better leaders in our communities. It’s a hard burden to bear, but we have been chosen whether we like it or not. We need to do whatever we can in a POSITIVE way, to help unite people of all colors in this injustice! In order to be successful, it is very important that we have a well ORGANIZED, STRATEGIC plan. This is super important in order for us to make change!! REAL organization, REAL strategy and a TRUE commitment to not forget and move on like we usually do when the news stops reporting. After being asked about Outkast Reunion, Andre 3000 admitted to not wanting to go on the tour in the first place: “Honestly, just, you know—I didn’t wanna do the tour.  We hadn’t performed in 10 years. It was old songs. I’m like, ‘How am I gonna present these songs? I don’t have nothing new to say.’ So I was like, ‘Maybe I can start saying new stuff while doing these old songs.’ It became a theme where I was more excited about this than the actual show. CeeLo Green was recently  asked by paparazzi about the allegations on Bill Cosby, making it very clear that it is unfair of anyone to assume on the matter: “No, no, no, I’m saying that can be the perception,” he said. “And it is the perception of many simply because he hadn’t made a formal statement defending himself. But you can’t defend yourself in that capacity. You just have to let facts be facts and so on and so forth. The facts have to speak the loudest. With that being said, none of it seems fair. And of course to any victim in that situation, it’s highly unfair. Extremely unfair. It’s not for me to really judge it. I definitely can’t judge it but it’s just unfortunate because he’s so beloved to so many people.”

J. Cole has had his new album “2014 Forest Hill Drive” leaked on the internet sadly but with it came a song called “Fire Squad.” In this track J. Cole took shots at many white rap artist saying “History repeats itself and that’s just how it goes / Same way that these rappers always bite each other’s flows/ Same thing that my nigga Elvis did with rock ‘n’ roll / Justin Timberlake, Eminem and then Macklemore.” A little later in the track Cole adds  “While silly nigga argue over who gon’ snatch the crown / Look around my nigga, White people have snatched the sound / This year I’ll be probably go to the awards dappered down / Watch Iggy win a Grammy as I try to crack a smile.” After that line he says “I’m just playin’, but all good jokes contain true shit / Same rope you climb up on. They’ll hang you with.” Make sure to purchase J. Coles album when it officially drops on December 9^th and support this artist who really does put his all into his music.

Yesterday December 2^nd Meek Mill was finally freed from prison with Rick Ross tweeted out “Meek home” as well as Meek posting a video of him in his hood partying after his release. Meek Mill was supposed to release his sophomore album back in September but it was put on hold after his incarceration. There is still no word on what the new release date for the album will be but it can’t be too far off.

In an interview with Nylon Lil Wayne talked about being about the music. When asked about this he had this to say When I first started doing it, you only did it to be the best—not to have a hot song or popularity or for Instagram or Twitter. I’m one of the last of a dying breed…the ones who are only about the music. You have to want to be unforgettable. The only other people who I can think of like that are Kanye and Beyoncé. With Lil Waynes Tha Carter V supposed to be dropping on December 9^th but with no pre-orders out yet it looks as though there might be another delay coming but hopefully we get some new music from Wayne soon.

After 50 Cent has failed to pay the $17.2 million that he owes to Sleek Audio his bank account has been frozen. 50 is either unwilling or unable to split with the money and has had his account frozen as punishment though he was ordered to pay the sum way back in April. So it looks like 50 Cent will have to give in and pay up or face more legal action against him from the headphone company.

 

After listening to Puff Daddy’s newest album, 50 Cent was no impressed and made sure to speak his mind: “When you see Last Train to Paris, to me, that’s an R&B record ‘cause of how much Puffy is singing on the record,” 50 Cent says. “And then, I think it’s trash. I think that project is garbage because I didn’t think it was cool for Milli Vanilli to sing and I know he can’t actually hit the notes in front of us live.”

Many people would agree with Chris Rock when he claims that Kanye West and Jay Z are the greatest rappers of all time. During an interview today Chris Rock spoke very highly of the two rappers: “Jay Z’s the best rapper ever,” “Kanye’s getting on him,” Rock says. “Kanye may eventually pass him.” Rock also believes that Kanye is the “most interesting guy that ever picked up a mic.”

Lil Wayne spoke about his journey in the music industry in a recent interview: “When I first started doing it, you only did it to be the best—not to have a hot song or popularity or for Instagram or Twitter.
