Nerco: “Kool G Rap Should Have Blown Up Like Biggie”

necro

Rapper, Nerco, tells all about Biggie and his fans vs. Kool G Rap: “I’m different than most people, most people just fucking listen. Most people just put on the radio, ‘Oh Biggie, [“Big Poppa,”] that’s the shit. We love that.’ I didn’t like Biggie when he did all that. I liked Biggie with ‘Party And Bullshit,’ after ‘Party And Bullshit’ came out and then Puffy started promoting the commercial shit I got turned off. I was listening to Kool G Rap, ‘Ill Street Blues,’ ‘On The Run.’ I felt G Rap should have blown up like Biggie. But most people, you’ll talk to someone, they don’t know who G Rap is. And everybody says they love Biggie. And I’m Brooklyn, obviously Biggie’s amazing, but these people, are they true when they say they like shit? I don’t think so. I think people are trendy.”

And you know, he be gone, I be gone, things get lost in translation and it didn’t get taken out of the queue for Google Play. So that’s how people had the wrong version first. mainopray3

While in an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club he was asked about his assault allegations from porn star Mellanie Monroe he stated that he has to go through the process but that the ordeal is already half way out the door.  Maino also had this to say about the whole situation “Let me just tell you this though, “I don’t really [speak] on things that’s not true…But I was in a situation–You know what, let me say this. In my life, anytime I’ve been accused of something, I swear to you I’ve always been at least 30 percent guilty. If somebody said I’ve done something, I’ve done something. Never in my life, until this time here, have I been absolutely 100 percent innocent. But that thing is about to get thrown out. It’s already halfway out the door. I’m just waiting on the call to tell me it’s already finished. The sad part about it is that particular situation, if a woman says that then you have to actually go through the process. So, It doesn’t matter. You can be walking down the street and a woman says ‘Yo, Envy did this, did that.’ They gon’ at least arrest you and you gotta go through the process. Now the truth will come out in the end. But, you know what? Most people don’t hear the truth…I’m not here to make everybody happy. So, the people that believe it is the people that don’t fuck with me anyway.” Only time will tell how his case ends up but keep it locked for more information as it arrives.

Kendrick Lamars short film has already been shown at Sundance’s NEXT Fest back in August but the film titled “m.A.A.d” will next be shown at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The documentary is 14 minutes in length and acts as a companion to Kendricks album good kid m.A.A.d city. The museum offers a description of the film which is this “Kahlil Joseph’s double-screen projection m.A.A.d is a lush portrait of contemporary Los Angeles. From barbershops to marching bands, from homeboys drinking in the streets to the iconic carpet of shimmering lights, the camera in m.A.A.d sinuously glides through predominantly African American neighborhoods in Los Angeles catching a dizzying array of quotidian moments suffused with creativity, joy, and sadness. Joseph’s film is accompanied by a thick booming soundtrack provided by emerging hip-hop star Kendrick Lamar and indeed m.A.A.d is part of the title of Lamar’s highly acclaimed second album Good Kid m.A.A.d. City.” Hopefully the film gets great reception at the museum when released and furthers the hip hop medium into the realm of art.
