Yesterday Nicki Minaj took to twitter to express her feelings about her high school, LaGuardia High School, turning her down on her proposal to speak to the students. She said in her tweets “that school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now. I was really looking forward to it.” This is truly unfortunate because even in older interviews Minaj would express nothing but love for her old High School.

This October Kendrick Lamar is scheduled to perform on a private Island in the Bermuda Triangle. This area of the Atlantic ocean is known for strange disappearances. The event hosted by Bacardi will also include performances from Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding. The event runs from October 30^th to November 2^nd on a private island.

DJ Skee’s DASH radio has just launched an odd future station and in an interview with HipHopDX DJ Skee himself had this to say. “We’re super excited about launching an Odd Future station on DASH Radio, It’s a win for everyone. They get to express themselves freely on the air and our listeners get a great new station.” The station is a 24/7 commercial free station for things like their shows, their friends, their music. So basically anything the group can come up with they can do on their station.

For the remaining dates of the Drake Vs. Lil Wayne tour rapper Y.G. will be blazing the stage as the opening act. Unfortunately Y.G. will not be added to the main event and square off against the rapping heavy weights but it he is still a nice addition to the show. On September 10^th Kanye West suffered from a migraine and was rushed to a hospital in Australia.  Kanye had to do an emergency MRI while there.  A witness said, “Next thing we knew, Kanye was stretchered in surrounded by security. He had one side of his face covered with something white, We both knew it was him because we had seen his photo in the paper every day and we were shocked because it looked so serious.”

Mayweather had previously said , “I think there’s a lot worse things that go on in other people’s households, also,” he said. “It’s just not caught on video. I know he’s probably going through a lot right now because football is his passion, football is his love. It’s no different than with me being in the fight game, if they told me, ‘Floyd, you’ve got the biggest deal in sports history,’ and then a couple months later, they say, ‘You know what, your deal is taken away from you’ — oh, man. Floyd today, told sources: “I was just getting word from people that there was a video out there. I didn’t know because I’m training for a fight, if I offended anyone, I apologize.”

According to TMZ, Floyd Mayweather had claimed to have seen the video before he made his first remarks, defending Ray Rice.

After Nicki realized that CBS had altered her performance she posted the following on Instagram:

“My darlingz, I wish you could’ve seen the choreography on the 2nd verse of ANACONDA last night, It was absolutely divine. CBS decided not to show it. Had they told us this before, we would have changed the choreo so that you guys could see the full performance from beginning to end. They already had you tuned in tho. Artists spend so much of their own money, time and passion to deliver their fans great performances. But ultimately, our art usually falls into the hands of people who care nothing about our art and creativity. Promise you’ll get to see this new choreo soon. Nicki also made sure to tweet an apology to her fans, “Barbz, I’m sorry about those angles,” she wrote on Twitter. “They told us they’d go wide, never mentioned they’d shoot the audience instead. Big learning experience.”

Conan O’ Brian was in the middle of telling his jokes when the smoke alarm in the building had gone off. Conan ceased his monologue to question whether or not that has ever happened to anyone before. It was after that question that a production employee had mentioned that Wiz Khalifa was in the building.

“You’re blaming the band?” Conan joked.  “Well, it’s because it’s the smoke alarm,” responded Conan’s sidekick, Andy Richter.

Big Sean, who is currently working on his third studio album, has just signed with Roc Nation management. People already signed with Roc Nation Management are people like Kanye West, Rihanna, Shakira and Meek Mill just to name a few. Sean also said that he would be dropping new music tomorrow to get people hyped for his new album. This news comes just a week after the rapper Wale left Roc Nation Management.

On ScHoolboy Q’s “Studio” remix Nas touched on his Def Jam recording contract. “Finished up my new album / Single about to be dropping / Last album on Def Jam and I got so many options,” Now Nas has announced that he is running Mass Appeal Records and has already confirmed artist he has signed to the label. So hopefully this means more freedom for Nas and more great music from him and his new artists.

Recently sitting down with Sway and MTV news Chris Brown opened up about it. Chris when asked about them putting their differences in the past said “We’re young, so it’s not like a pow wow over tea or nothing. It didn’t need to be explained. It wasn’t no problem.” Then when asked about him and Drake appearing together at the ESPYs he said “ Drake’s camp actually called me to do the skit. Especially after getting out of jail, I didn’t have any animosity towards anybody. I wanted to be able to bring light to the situation and just grow up. I’m 25 and I’m not getting younger. You can’t walk around holding grudges, looking over you shoulder and being negative all the time.”
