He feels that his younger fan base should have other options in hip hop music. “I kept violence—Well, I still keep violence out of my music because a lot of the kids from where I’m from and just not even where I’m from, but just the inner-city in general. That’s all we hear. That’s all we know. That’s all we really look up to. And it’s cool because we enjoy that from certain people, but I just always—just as a kid and being different I gravitated towards other things along with that. So, I just want to give kids an option to look at somebody who doesn’t talk about that stuff. Who they still think is [as] cool as those same people. You know what I mean? Cause that’s who I am in real life anyway. So, it’s not really hard to do that through my music.”

Everyone has been accepting the ASL Ice Bucket Challenge; however, due to Mayweather’s insulting comments toward 50 Cent, he came up with a new challenge for Mayweather. 50 Cent challenged Floyd to read a page from a Harry Potter book out loud, from start to finish with no mistakes. In return, 50 Cent will donate $750,000 to whichever charity Floyd desires.

Lecrae, a faith-based rapper, challenges the hip hop community. Lecrae asks that rappers examine their lyrics before demanding justice from others in regards to the Ferguson situation.

Kid Cudi Collaborated with Guizeppe Zonatti on a pair of puffy red sneakers. The only problem is that Cudi’s vision doesn’t seem to be appealing to his audience. But maybe that is the point because Cudi could be going down a road of his own creating a style that can catch on and blow up in the near future.

Ab-soul released his album back in June and now has just come out saying there will be a tour and he has 40 dates set for the tour so far. The official poster for the tour says “More dates to be announced” So if you were looking forward to seeing Ab-soul live in concert the next three months he will be all over North America.

Kendrick Lamar who is said to be working on his next studio album after his debut, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, has many songs with the producer Flying Lotus. In an interview with Pitchfork Lotus said “I went on tour and he recorded to a bunch of my songs. I don’t know if he’s gonna use them or not, but he recorded a bunch of stuff, which is why there’s no Captain Murphy album out yet. He took all my beats.”

Kendrick has said that he feels no type of pressure going into his sophomore album after the success of his debut album.

French Montana, during a Billboard interview, admits to dating Khloe to build up his fan base. Reality star Khloe later responds to the interview with a tweet stating, “It’s amusing to me that Y’all think I don’t see it. I was the first one to see it. I just don’t care”.

Kid Ink sued after his dog attacked the pizza delivery man. Pizza delivery man, Garnik Nazarian, claims the dog bit his arms, legs, face and other parts of his body.  According to the lawsuit, Nazarian’s injuries are so bad; he won’t be able to deliver pizzas for a long time to come. So, in addition to medical bills and pain and suffering, he wants lost profits (TMZ).

When asked about his current relationship with Atlantic Records, Lupe Fiasco said “I can’t wait to get off. Although Earl Sweatshirt has claimed to not have seen Taylor Swifts new video “Shake it Off”, he finds that having twerking women as Swift dances among them has already been done by other artists and criticized. After posting a tweet saying claiming Swift’s video to be “inherently offensive and ultimately harmful”, Earl states that the video “is perpetuating black stereotypes to the same demographic of white girls who hide their prejudice by proclaiming their love of the culture.”

There have been reports that the duo has been seen in the studio together. A NY post article had a secretive quote from a source saying they were working on a track called “Piss on My Grave” Plus that Kanye was in attendance at Paul’s recent show in the Dodger Stadium. Another tabloid call The Sun said a source close to Kanye said “Kanye and Paul have known each other for a long time but have become more friendly lately. There’s every chance they’ll head into the studio together.” So all of this should really be taken with a grain of salt but if this information is true Kanyes next project could be something special.
