Hot 97, Peter rosenberg has apologize on video to Chuck D for calling him a internet troll and not contributing to the culture in recent years. After he made the statement about Chuck many people in the Hip Hop community including Dame Dash and Jay Electronica called Peter out publicly. On his show Peter mention going to see "Do The Right Thing and hearing Public Enemy "Fight The Power" then he said "That wasn’t the first time I heard Public Enemy, but that was the first time Chuck D’s voice truly affected me. So to think that 25 years later I would have a voice in this culture that some people would actually listen to a little bit is truly a blessing. Something I’m very thankful for. To have used that voice in any way to show what was perceived as public disrespect to the great Chuck D is something that I am truly regretful for."

On July 7th the CIA tweeted about Tupac location. Here is what the tweet post said "No, we don't know where Tupac is. #twitterversay," The 1996 murder of Tupac in Las Vegas remain unsolved, in May Suge Knigh former Death Row Records owner believes Tupac is still alive. Suge said "Why you think nobody been arrested if they said they the one killed Tupac,” Knight said at the time. "Because Tupac not dead. Tupac not dead, nigga. If he was dead they’d be arresting those dudes for murder. You know he somewhere smoking a Cuban cigar on an island somewhere.”

Solange address elevator attack on Jay Z
Solange has finally address the elevator attack on her brother-in-law Jay Z back in May. In a recent interview she refers to the incident as "that thing" she said "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that." Solange sister Beyonce had issue a statment previously which stated
"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident," she said at the time. "But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family. "The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false," the statement continued. "At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."
Rich Homie Quanslaps a fan during his concert
Over the weekend Rich performed a concert in Racine, Wisconsin during the performance Rich bent down and hit a person in the face because the person was trying to pull himself on stage by using Riches arm. This is what Rich had to say about the incident. "To set the record nobody save me. I slapped that nigga by myself. I do salute Chiraq for having my bak. But ain Neva been a fucknigga. This is not the first time there has been violence at Rich performance, in March two people were killed outside his New Orleans show, and there has been shooting at his events in Ohio and Missouri over the last year. On July 24th Rich will join Wiz Khalifa's "Under The Influence Of Music" Tour.
Lil Wayne is facing a lawsuit
Rapper Lil Wayne is being sued by the original owners of youngmoney.com which is the name the rapper is using for his website. According to documents the site name was sold to the rapper for $600,000 but $250,000 is still owed. In the original agreement it stated that is Youngmoney did not make payments on time then the name will be returned to the initial owners.
Drake appreciates Kanye West tribute
Drake and Kanye were to be co-headliner at the Wireless Festival in London. Due to illness and doctor orders Drake had to cancel his performance. Kanye still went on with his performance and on the second day of his performance Kanye paid tribute to Drake by playing three of Drake songs "Trophies", "We Made It" and "All Me". Drake later went on Instagram to thank Kanye. He said “Man I appreciate Kanye playing 'Trophies' at Wireless so much,” “I want to be at all the shows more than anything in the world right now. I just keep watching the video over and over. Slow motion for me right now but I promise all the fans an incredible experience as soon as I am back. I am so sorry once again I love you all dearly. Thank you Ye for giving me that joy tonight.”
Kanye West debute new tracks in London
West showed up a an London club went behind the booth and played 20 new tracks(most likely for an upcoming album)for a private party. The club had strict rules in place for cell phones in order to keep any recording off the internet. Many club goers took to social media to rant about West performance. One listener tweeted that the songs were "hellish, "dark", and "ground shaking". Another person said the tracks are "a mixture of soul sample and tamed 'Yeezus-Esque darkness."
Singer Mya says she is not Jay Z’s mistress
Mya had first learned about rumors of her and Jay Z alleged affair last week. The songstress kept silent until recently she was force to speak because of rumors turned to death threat. Mya denied that she carrying on an 11 year affair with Jay Z on Instagram. In response she said "Never did, never was, never will" She said I play second to no one, pay my own bills, have my own label, own management company, rely on god only and respect myself and marriage too much for nonsense." Russell Simmons say Cash Money Records is the best company in the history of Hip Hop
Russell say he hold Cash Money Records in high regards. He think the company which was launch in the mid 1990s with artist B.G., Juvenile, and Lil Wayne is the best Hip Hop company in history. Russell said "When I was watching Nicki Minaj receive her fifth consecutive rap award on the BET awards, I was almost brought to tears when she spoke about her Cash Money family. It reminded me of the very best corporate culture we built at Def Jam that we were fortunate enough to hold onto for a number of years (though not nearly as long as Cash Money has enjoyed).” Russell said Cash Money Recording decline the offer to partnership with Def Jam Recording at the time Russell thought they were making a big mistake. Russell now said " I guess they fooled me. Turns out, all these years later, they are the only owners and the only real triumphant [Hip Hop] company fully owned and operated by the true pioneers that started it.”

Drake will not be performing with Kanye West at Wireless Festival
Drake has dropped out of a 2 day co-headlining performance with Kanye West at the Wireless Festival in London and Birmingham this weekend. The Canadian rapper sudden cancellation is due to doctor's orders. Drake said "I got sick a few days ago and although I am on my way to bouncing back, my doctors have made it clear that I am not physically fit to fly or deliver the performance my fans expect and deserve from me". Hopefully the rapper will recover soon he is going to host the 22nd ESPN ESPY's Awards on Wednesday July 16th at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
