Soulja Boy and Sean Kingston were no where to be found by the time the police arrived , The gun shots were non life threatning.

After a medical examiner ruled Freddie Gray’s death a homicide, officers involved were hit with charges including second-degree depraved-heart murder, second-degree assault, manslaughter by vehicle and misconduct in office.  After the shooting/murder of officers in Dallas Texas,  Prosecutors served the people a slap in the face! and dropped the charges against the remaining officers in the Freddie Gray’s case, how does this happen? after being ruled a murder by the medical examiner Freddie sustained a spinal cord injury after shackled and placed in a police van with no seat belt, here is how the Hip Hop community responded.

 

BOW WOW SAID HE IS MIXED NOT BLACK

Famous rap star Bow Wow is barking loud and got a lot of people angry. Bow Wow says he does not relate to the black lives matter movement or civil rights movement, because he isn’t black. Shad Gregory Moss known as Lil Bow Wow on Vlad Tv said he is mixed with white and native and can relate to these issues, Moss exchanged many words with fans on twitter about this subject they view Bow Wow as black, his response is he can’t fight the power his ancestors were in tribes not slaves.

Katt Williams Punches Lady In The Face

Trouble always seems always to find Katt Williams, no matter where he goes, in 2006 he was allegedly arrested for carrying a gun threw LAX he spent 3 days in L.A. county jail. In 2008 he was arrested for weapon possession in NYC, 2009 he was arrested in Georgia and charged with burglary and criminal trespass, 2010 Katt allegedly punched record producer Merion Powers at a Four Seasons Hotel over an unpaid debt. In 2011 at a Young Jeezy concert in Phoenix, Arizona, Katt Williams was captured on video fighting with a club promoter. 2012 Katt was arrested by the LAPD for flashing a gun outside of The Supperclub. and it goes on and on tell current time 2016 Katt Williams arrested for punching a woman in the face at Sportsmen’s Lodge restaurant in Sherman Oaks, his bail is set at $20,000 and he is being charged with a misdemeanor battery, 2017 is almost here we will keep you posted if he isn’t in prison.

Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s hit record “All The Way Up” featuring French Montana has officially gone platinum. The single was released by Terror Squad Entertainment and Empire Distribution.  “All The Way Up” has peaked at #27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #9 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.  Empire CEO Ghazi Shami presented Joe with a platinum plaque after he performed at the Empire Summer Classic in San Francisco.

Joe spoke back in May about the success of the song.  “I’m not just happy, I’m ecstatic. It feels like I’m smoking crack or something. I don’t know how to act. You gotta understand in 1993 I came out with my first single, ‘Flow Joe,’ and it went #1 in the country. And now 23 years later we got a top 10 song in America. It’s unheard of in Hip Hop music.”

The Not So Silent Michael Jordan Speaks Out Against Recent Acts Of Violence

Many know the notoriously quiet Michael Jordan as potentially the greatest basketball player of all time, but he has not been known as an outspoken advocate on social issues that affect the Black community.  That appeared to change after a statement released to The Undefeated, speaking out against the recent events of violence.

“As a proud American, a father who lost his own dad in a senseless act of violence, and a black man, I have been deeply troubled by the deaths of African-Americans at the hands of law enforcement and angered by the cowardly and hateful targeting and killing of police officers,” Jordan writes. “I grieve with the families who have lost loved ones, as I know their pain all too well.”  Jordon  also donated $1 million each to two institutions that are on the forefront of rebuilding relationships between law enforcement and the communities that officers serve. Those organizations are Institute for Community-Police Relations, which is a subsidiary of International Association of Chiefs of Police, and NAACP Legal Defense Fund.  “Although I know these contributions alone are not enough to solve the problem, I hope the resources will help both organizations make a positive difference,” Jordan explains of the financial gifts. 

How Many Lawsuits Does It Take To Move On Into The Future

The multiple lawsuits and on going legal battles between Ciara and ex-fiancee Future have mostly been a case of she said, he said, but now, Ciara alleges that the rapper’s trash talk that’s flooding social media has made its way out of her wallet and cost her money.  In filed court documents, the singer says that the Dirty Sprite 2 rapper made her lose out on an undisclosed endorsement deal.  She claims an international cosmetics company was positioned to enter into a partnership with her to the tune of half a million dollars, but backed away siting Future’s interviews and tweets scathing her.

Ciara filed a $15 million lawsuit in February for defamation, slander and libel. Future countersued, but dropped his case after he was awarded joint custody of their child together, Future Jr.

Rapper Records Shooting Himself In The Face To Draw Attention To His Fledgling Career

The epidemic of wanna-be celebrities going to great lengths to rile up publicity and gain that 15 minutes of fame seems to have no end in sight.  One rapper opted to shoot himself in the face to garner some attention for his struggling career.

“I swallowed the bullet…if I die, fuck it,” says Rapper Kasper Knight, who kept talking in his Facebook post after shooting himself through the cheek.  The video has served its assumed purpose, receiving over a half a million views as of this writing.  There is widespread speculation that the shooting was a prank, since the bullet never pierced the opposite side of the rappers face.  Also, the bullet would have been much too hot to be immediately swallowed after being discharged.  Knight had a quick response for those questioning the integrity of the shooting.

Ironically, Kasper Knight is quoted as saying “You guys are a mess. We got black people blaming my facial mutilation on whites, whites blaming it on blacks, conservatives blaming it on liberals, liberals blaming the gun, random fucks blaming it on Mexicans, and conspiracy theorists asking for proof even though we have a full blown unedited video on deck.”  Unedited and unbelievable, it’s yet to be proven if the video and following Facebook rant helps the rappers career.  

Katt Williams’ Arrest Record Has Surpassed His Accomplishments

The embattled comedian and actor Katt Williams was arrested in the early morning hours on Sunday, July 24 at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Restaurant in affluent Sherman Oaks, California for misdemeanor battery after allegedly attacking a restaurant employee.  Williams was taken into custody at the scene, where a female employee claimed the comedian had attacked and punched her.  Law enforcement sources claim the woman displayed visible, but minor injuries, and Williams was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor battery. He is currently in custody with bail set at $20,000.  This is is hardly the first time Williams has lashed out and been hit with battery-related charges. His last outburst occurred in April, when he was arrested following a brawl with employees at a seafood restaurant in Atlanta.  The newly reported California arrest marks the fifth arrest for Williams in just the last 4 ½ months; after reportedly engaging in a nasty altercation with a 17-year-old, allegedly assaulting one of his bodyguards, and supposedly punching an employee at a pool supply store.  Previous reports state the star has also been accused of holding five women at gunpoint after they tried to film a meeting with him.  With the past catching up with him, the embattled 42-year-old is due to stand trial for a felony count of robbery after allegedly stealing a camera from a photographer in Beverly Hills, California in 2014, during a night out with incarcerated rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight.

Dr. Dre Retained And Searched By Cops In Alleged Road Rage Case

Dr. Dre got cuffed and patted down by Sheriff’s deputies outside his Malibu home after an alleged road rage incident over a man blocking Dre’s driveway.  Those close to the Aftermath Entertainment founder and CEo tell of a motorist who had pulled over off the Pacific Coast Highway and parked in front of Dre’s home. Sources say Dre asked the man to move his vehicle which the man then did.  However, during the entire encounter the man was heard cursing obscenities at the hip hop mogul.  Dre pulled into his driveway while the man continued to yell.  Responding as many have in recent months, Dre pulled out this phone and began to record live video to document the unraveling motorist.  Dre sources claim the man was heard saying “Here we go again, another black guy with a gun.” L.A. County Sheriff’s tell us the motorist called 911 to report someone pulled a gun on him.  When deputies responded they were seen putting handcuffs on the multi-millionaire artist in his driveway and searching him. Sheriff’s deputies found no gun, and let Dre go. However, the man insisted on making a citizen’s arrest, which means he filled out a report detailing his side of the story.  The Sheriff’s Dept. will forward the arrest complaint to the District Attorney  who will decide whether there’s a case. Dre was not arrested by deputies.

Suge Knight denied visit from minor son; continues fighting with the Court

Suge Knight is battling with the courts again regarding his treatment in jail, this time over family visitation.  Knight appealed to the court last month when a judge then signed a court order to allow his 7 year old son Legend visitation.  However, late last week Knight’s son and mother were denied access to the jail where Knight is being held.

Even after producing the court order allowing for the visit, the Men’s County Jail blocked the visit from the lone minor named in the court order due to the Jail’s policy of not allowing visitation of a minor without adult supervision.  The child’s mother and Knight’s fiance’, Tio-Lin Kelly tried to get on the order with her child but was denied.  The former head of Death Row records is due in court again next week.

Chuck D. Sounds Off On Growing Tensions Between Police & Citizens, Criticizes Media Coverage In Newly Released Interview

When recently interviewed by Billboard, Chuck D. did not hold back when asked about the recent violence between law enforcement and citizens happening on almost a weekly basis Nation wide.  The Public Enemy alumni is quoted as saying  “WTF. That was my first reaction. I mean, do you have the words for things like that? I had no words for what happened in Baton Rouge.  I still have no words for it,” Chuck D. said. “And in Falcon Heights they went and covered that woman’s boyfriend Philando Castile that just got killed — I was even more silent. And then I totally had no words for what happened in Dallas…,” replies e rapper when asked of his initial reaction to the growing controversies, senseless deaths and retaliation against Law Enforcement.  He also shared how he sees media giants irresponsibility in airing or airing and editing actually first account video.  We’re in the era where a picture tells you a thousand words, but now we got a thousand pictures and it doesn’t do that,” Chuck D. snapped. “You got a thousand pictures per person out there in the world. I just thought that was lazy low-fi journalism.”  The outspoken legend is advocating for media to have the discipline to stick to facts in their reporting regardless of what the outcome may be.
