A photographer by the name of Mychal Watts has filed a police report saying that while he was working at Chris Browns Launch Party for WizPak that happened to be on a yacht he got shoved by Browns crew. Apparently things took a turn when Watts snapped photos when Chris didn’t want him to and he got mad saying “This ain’t no press release, you’re done!” according to TMZ. When Watts was shoved by someone in Brown’s crew he spun and broke his $12,000 lens. Keep it locked right here for any updates on this situation.

Kanye West’s huge hit from his last album “Yeezus”, New Slaves, is now getting hims sued. TMZ is reporting that Ye is being sued by composer, Gabor Presser who had his song “Gyongyhaju lany” sampled at the end of Kanye’s track. Now Ye was originally given clearance to use the sample by Gabor. Gabor believed that he would give him permission then some deal would be worked out later down the road but that never happened according to him and he was just sent $10,000 and he never cashed the check. Gabor is now suing for $2.5 million for copyright infringement so stay tuned for updates.

Birdman has just signed AR-AB and Compton Menace to his label, Cash Money. Birdman made the announcement via a new video. Now is this a good or bad thing because on one side this can get both artist some much needed publicity but on the other side you have Birdman who has a lot of artist signed to him but has a bunch come out and say he does not pay them including his own “son”, Lil Wayne. Hopefully this new position benefits both AR and Compton Menace though. Check out the announcement below.

 

DJ Khaled gets himself another magazine cover this time for The Source. Taking to his Instagram account Khaled made the announcement with a photo of the actual cover. This new found wave of success Khaled has stumbled upon only seems to grow. This is definitely a major key for Khaled so check out his post below.

It has now been confirmed that Soulja Boy has indeed signed a deal for $400 million with a company called World Poker Fund. This was all made official by a statement posted on their website talking about Soulja Boy being an influential urban entertainer. Souja’s job is to promote the companies website, CelebrityWorld.com and their gaming platform coming soon to numerous airlines around the world. This is an extremely impressive deal for Soulja Boy to land but keep it locked right here for any further updates.

Just last night Kanye West took to Twitter to give fellow Chicago artist, Chance The Rapper some praise saying “My brother Chance!!! Thank you for letting me work on this masterpiece. One of my favorite people” and “Chance too good. God level bars.” This lead to Chance taking to Twitter speaking very highly of Kanye. “It’s Crazy cause I feel like I met Kanye the first time I heard We Don’t Care. Like he’s been there for me since 2004.” and he continues “Kanye was there when I tried out for the talent show, the first time I knew a kid who passed away, the first time I got suspended But still, every time I talk to him it feels foreign. I still get nervous and starstruck. I’m still surprised when he likes my ideas. Part of what makes this duality works is because he is by definition “One of A Kind”. Therefore I’ve always known him and will never know him. I’m content with that.” It is awesome to see the amount of respect these to amazing artist have for one another and many people that are Chances age can relate to the way he feels about Kanye West.

This is happening way to often for someone just starting out their rap career but Kodak Black has been arrested yet again. The last time Kodak was arrest for leading police on a high speed chase. Now he has been arrested again for open warrants he had on him from last years charges of armed robbery and false imprisonment. That is all we know at the moment but keep it locked right here for any updates on his situation.

A man in Bobby Shmurda’s group GS9 named Rasha will be in prison for a long time. Rasha was charged with murder and five counts of attempted murder. Rasha was sentenced to 98 years in prison for his crimes and though Bobby hasn’t done anything as bad just being associated does not help his case at all.

Mixtapes might be getting their shine really soon in the realm of Grammy awards. In the rules right now a Grammy could only be awarded to music that is released commercially. But so much good music is released free these days and people took to making a petition to have free music get their own Grammy category. Now the academy is saying that they are open to adding in that category in hopes to evolve to fit in with the way the world is going. This is huge because Chance the Rapper has put out a bunch of free projects that are definitely Grammy worthy projects.

The Game got a very talented artist to paint him a very special painting of Prince. TMZ reports that Game got in contact with an artist named Madsteez to recreate an still from the movie Purple Rain and boy did he deliver. The painted is said to be worth $65,000 and took 100 hours of work so make sure to check it out below.

Future has just got himself a huge win in his custody battle with Ciara. Just yesterday Ciara tried to get full custody of her and Future’s child and the judge had ruled against it though and gave Future joint custody of their child. Before this point Future was only allowed limited visitation with his son. This is not the end though because Ciara is still going after Future for his harsh comments about her in the media so we’ll see how that plays out.

Stealing the thunder from the huge pop star that is Justin Bieber, Drake has now taken the top spot on spotify with the most streams. Up until Drake dropped views on Spotify and topped Justin Biebers 3,175,636,461 streams with his 3,185,045,281 streams which is a impressive number. It is nice to see a rapper topping all of the pop stars.

During a recent video shoot for a new song called “Thug” YG had his shoot stopped and people were running and ducking because someone was firing an AK-47. Police know this because they found AK-57 casing on the scene and said it was gang related activity. Thankfully no one was hurt or taken under arrest. Hopefully YG can stop having things like this follow him around because it is just not good for business.

Juelz Santana has definitely not been doing much in the rap game for a good long time now and now it has come out that his condo in Jersey is being foreclosed. The reason is he has failed to pay the mortgage on the condo since way back in 2013. Now he will be forced to leave the home and he owes $688,219 for the property now so it is not a great situation especially for a rapper who isn’t on top anymore.

Just last week fans were getting excited because The Game and 50 Cent were rumored to have a reunion. This is just not the case at least not anytime in the near future because The Game shut it all down while on the video shoot for his new track “Roped Off”. “I don’t know where that came from, but uh I can’t see that happening no time in the near future. But you know, he’s doing his thing man, I’m doing my thang, Banks, Buck, Yayo, they all doing their thang. Everybody just doin’ their thang man.” So fans need to realize that the two just might never join up again.
