As we all know Meek Mill has just started what will be his three months of house arrest and one of the rules he must follow is that he can’t record any new music. Now according to TMZ Meek is trying to have that rule changed because he has his own studio in his home and it must be killing him not being able to use it. Meek had his lawyer file papers requesting that he be allowed to use the studio still but we will see what the answer is soon so keep it locked for all updates.

According to Kevin Gates Apple told him he outsold Rihanna
Kevin Gates latest album “Islah” has got a lot of love from his fans but while on a radio show he said that employees at Apple told him that he outsold Rihanna’s latest album “Anti”. Now this is pretty amazing because Gates makes some pretty hardcore rap compared to Rihanna more pop sound which is usually more popular. Kevin Gates went on to talk about Rihanna having Samsung buy $1 million copies to help her go platinum instantly was unfair and he would of been #1 on the charts with his album if she didn’t have that advantage.
Young Producers Metro Boomin writes letter in remembrance of Bankroll Fresh
Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed on Friday Night in front of an Atlanta studio and a lot of artist mourned his passing via social media. Young producer, Metro Boomin did a bit more by writing a long piece on his Instagram about Bankroll. “they took my brother Fresh and I’m hurt right now. very hurt. hurt is the only thing that’s been on my mind and heart since I was in magic last night. hurt was on my mind and heart when I woke up this morning. u always wanted to see niggas do good and be good. u used to tell us that once you good then we good and that you would do things the right way and not like the rest of these niggas. I’m hurt that this music shit has made everything so different and affected all of my personal relationships because of the high demand of work and the stress. but you were one of the few niggas that understood and still gave full support. I miss how fun and natural this shit used to be, before it felt like as much of a job as it does now. I miss recording songs at the house all night and u would just stay and sleep on the couch because you wanted to win as bad as I wanted to win. I hate how we did less and less as we both were getting more and more success. we were both so busy and never could even be in town at the same time anymore. But through that you were still genuinely happy for me as much as I was for you. I’ve worked so much over the years and neglected my personal life so much that I feel alone at times now. I shoulda been there and you shoulda been here. I didn’t even wanna do all this Instagram typing shit but Love your family and friends and never take them for granted. Call them and stop texting and tweeting all the fucking time. I’m only 22 and still growing and learning life. Fuck all that sad shit tho man I love u bra and will always appreciate your love support from day1. #LONGLIVEFRESH”. Bankroll Fresh is gone way too soon and right when he was on his way up sadly some people just can’t handle another mans success.

Blac Youngsta goes to Young Dolph’s neighborhood armed
Blac Youngsta which is Yo Gotti’s artist has been acting really reckless lately. Blac’s latest wild act was him showing up at Young Dolph’s hood with his whole crew all armed with weapons and then recorded it for the world to see. This beef started with Yo Gotti and Dolph having problems with each other because Dolph dropped his album the same day as Gotti with the title “King of Memphis” which Gotti and crew thought took as a sign of disrespect. Hopefully these are just empty threats from Blac Youngsta and this beef ends quickly.

But he talked about Joey getting Nas and Kirk Knight involved in their beef saying “But that’s what pussies like you do.” Troy also mentioned Joey’s friend who took his own life again calling him “ya roof jumpin bestie.” Troy is really going for low blows in this one over and over again making it seem like this beef will never come to and end.
Chief Keef is says he is retiring
Chief Keef has only been in the rap game for a few years and he seems to already want to retire from it according to what he tweeted out to his fans. Taking to Twitter Keef said that he has been retired and the fans just didn’t realize it. As for the reasoning behind it, he feels like there are too many other rappers trying to look and sound like him. Chief Keef even helped out his fans saying that they should become a lawyer or a doctor and not strive to become a rapper which is pretty good advice.
Samsung says they are not buying Tidal
Speaking with Variety, a rep for Samsung has confirmed that TIDAL is not being bought by them. “The rumor of Samsung acquiring Tidal is not true,” TIDAL has had some key success with complete rights to “The Life of Pablo” streaming and having Beyonce and Rihanna on their side. But they will need a lot more then that eventually to keep up with Spotify and Samsung did look like it could boost the number of people using their service because their android phones are everywhere.
Kendrick Lamar drops Untitled Unmastered album
Kendrick Lamar’s surprise album dropped tonight titled “Untitled Unmastered” and is pretty much made up of 8 extra songs he had. Each track is called Untitled followed by a number and the date the track was actually made which is a pretty cool touch. This is a great album to hold the TDE fans off until the next artist drops their album which could be Schoolboy Q just before the Summer. Top Dawg took to twitter today as well to say everyone should thank Lebron James for this because he tweeted at him to release all of Kendrick’s Untitled tracks.
Rick Ross says that Chris Rock is a “Cornball”
In a brand new interview with 93.9 Fam in the Morning Rick Ross talked about many things including the recent Oscars. Now Chris Rock was the host of the awards and it wasn’t without controversy since many people actually were boycotting it. Now when Rick Ross was asked about Chris Rocks performance he had this to say “Nah nah, Chris Rock he a cornball. Let’s keep it real. I ain’t even finna kick it with yall like that, Chris Rock a cornball, and I’ma leave it right there, it wasn’t funny, stop. He ain’t the one. I’m not a fan of his.” This seems to be a common thing some people believe and others believe that he did a good job.
Fetty Wap’s self titled album goes platinum
Fetty Wap had his debut album “Fetty Wap” come out last year but it has now been certified platinum by the RIAA. This is huge and really shows how much the streaming aspect counting now is really giving artist a huge boost though some don’t like this new way of doing things. With how catchy Fetty Waps songs are it really shouldn’t be surprising that he got here and just to break it down his major hit song “Trap Queen” is 4x platinum.
Kanye West was the one who told TIDAL to not share his streaming numbers
As we all know Kanye West’s latest album “The Life Of Pablo” has got rave reviews all around but it was only released on TIDAL for streaming. This fact really should of cut down the amount of people able to access the album but we wouldn’t know because Kanye actually requested that TIDAL didn’t share his albums streaming data. Now this is an interesting tactic but at the end of the day Billboard doesn’t need to have the numbers and it doesn’t change the quality of the music.
Joey Bada$$ is not okay with Troy Ave at all
Troy Ave last night dropped a diss track for fellow NYC rapper Joey Bada$$ taking things really far to the point where he even brought up Capital STEEZ, a friend of Joey who took his own life back in 2012. Joey has now responded with the tweet “This brotha been buggin…..Get him TF outta here….No mercy for this man” and this tweet lead to an image of past tweets by Troy Ave where he called Nas a weirdo and a sucka among other disrespectful things. Keep it right here for updates on this beef.
