On Monday, June 27, “Tha Dogg Pound” rapper, Daz Dillinger, posted a video showing his retirement life.

In the video, the Grammy-nominated rapper showed his fans around the new studio in Atlanta. Some houses will be decorated, and a large empty land will be constructed in the future.

According to Dillinger, the studio will be called “Dogg Pound Sound Stage Studios.”

He stated in the caption for the Instagram video that:

“I [LOVE} THE RETIREMENT LIFE. CUZ WHEN U SELF MADE YOU CAN DO ANYTHING.”

On June 25, the artist posted an Instagram announcement stating that he is done rapping and would be retiring from rap since it was no longer fun for him.

He started his Hip-Hop career in the 1990s, aiding west coast and gangsta rap into mainstreaming. Now, this retired rapper will step off the stage and start on his new journey.

Not The Only One

Daz isn’t the only MC putting down the mic. In January, rapper Yo Gotti, who has seen success as a rapper and an entrepreneur behind the careers of Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, and EST Gee, also announced his retirement from making music.

Yo Gotti’s final album was released on Friday, February 4.  It was a double-disc album with one side called “Free” and the other called “Game.”
