GENE SIMMONS THINKS RAP DOESN’T BELONG IN THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME

Gene Simmons has respect for rap music but he doesn’t think their is a place for it in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Gene is from the rock group Kiss (Hard Rock) known for his vocals and bass guitar he is known as Dr. Love, God Of Thunder, The Demon, has voiced his opinion of rap just before Tupac is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The legendary rocker had a good point,

“There’s disco and rap and all kinds of stuff. And I highly respect rap, but on the day Led Zeppelin gets put into the hip hop Hall of Fame, is the day I will personally accept rap artists as being brought into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” Gene Simmons said. “It just ain’t the same thing.”

The point he made is debatable their is crossover groups that Rap but consider rock or caught in the middle like The Beastie Boys, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machine, Kid Rock, and more,  It took 20 plus years for rap to be inducted in to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and I’m sure in the near future that their will be a rock/rap group in the Hip Hop Hall Of Fame.
