Female rapper Yo Yo grew up in Los Angels, California. She begin performing when she was in middle school. While in high school, a fellow student (T-bone of Da Lench Mob) saw her perform and thought she should meet another rapper who could help her career. The other rapper turned out to be Ice Cube who at the time was in the process of leaving N.W.A and was looking for a female artist. Yo Yo said when she met Ice Cube, she had a feminist mentality. She came up in a era where N.W.A. was saying a b*itch is a b*itch which she did not like. Yo Yo said all her song was like Queen Latifah (U.N.I.T.Y). When Ice Cube and Yo Yo did the The Bonnie and Clyde Theme sad said “I got a down ass Ni**a on my team”. He didn’t say “I got me a down-ass b*itch”. He tried it, but i was like, No, you’re not going to call me a b*itch”. He went in and change it, which was mad respect”.
