Lil Wayne Getting Backlash From T.I. After Nightline Interview Aired

Social media was on fire after the airing of Lil Wayne’s Nightline interview on ABC last week.  Wayne went on a rant after being asked his take on Black Lives Matter movement.  After the interview he fired his publicist and blamed his tirade on being “disorientated”.  But the damage had been done much to the disfavor of the rapper.  Wayne had an “I’m not jumping on board” regard for the movement, not that surprising coming from an artist who has been a multimillionaire since his teens.  Clearly people were enraged at his brazen disregard for such a undeniably sensitive issue, including family friend and collaborator T.I. In a long-winded Instagram posting last Saturday the superstar rapper/actor wrote, “I don’t know what you goin thru, or what you are attempting to avoid but this shit is absolutely unacceptable You’re disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name and tarnishing your legacy”. The Atlanta rapper has been an outspoken proponent of the BLM movement and earlier this year announced a few similarly political projects including his release of Us Or Else. Weezy definitely did not appreciate getting shade from T.I. posting one tweet several hours later just stating “lil wayne fk ya”.
