Future Announces New Album ‘Life Is Good’

Despite trying times, Future is keeping the positive vibes coming.
The Atlanta rapper has announced that his upcoming album will be titled Life Is Good, inspired by his 2x platinum single featuring Drake. He made the revelation in an interview for the cover of XXL.
“It’s about life and being good and just enjoying life,” he told the magazine. “So many tragedies and catastrophes and everything is going on in the world. And you want to enjoy life, as long as you have it. Waking up, breathing, well, you want to be able to soak it all up and be appreciative for every moment on this earth, every moment that you’re living.”
Life Is Good represents his current mindstate. “Life Is Good is where I am at. Mentally, life is good, it’s just a state of mind. It’s just about being, whatever is going on good or bad, life is good, but life is precious,” he said. “You only get one life, so you want to just make the most of it. Instead of complaining about certain things that you want to be, you know, you want everything to be perfect, but that’s not the situation so I want to make good for what I have going on. With me, I want to send a positive message through hard times for me or anyone else.”

The project will remain true to himself while exploring new themes. “This album right here defines me at a creative level. Going to the next level where you just going to the next level and always going outside the box, but still remaining true to my core fans and my core audience.”
Added Future, “It’s me trying new things. I want to remain true to self, but also true to my fans and just giving them a good project, a great project to be able to listen to, but also for different artists to be able to feed off of, create off of, come up with different ideas and just being at the forefront of just making a solid album, a solid, complete album. It’s just very important to me.”
During the interview, Hndrxx also discussed his work with Drake. The two have teased a sequel to 2015’s What a Time to Be Alive, but it’s unclear if and when their joint project will see the light of day. “We always working on music and creating with each other and we create, building off each other’s ideas, feeding each other different ideas,” he said.
Meanwhile, his love life remains in the spotlight. He and girlfriend Lori Harvey went public with their relationship in January, but Future remained tight-lipped about their romance. “You get the people in the world who want to know, so you open up a little bit, but you got to save majority for yourself and your partner,” he said.
Life Is Good serves as the follow-up to last year’s The WIZRD, which opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Drake-assisted title track peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spawned a remix with Lil Baby and DaBaby.

Fetty Wap Sued For Punching A Woman In The Face And Choking Her

(AllHipHop News) Newark’s own Fetty Wap, the sing-songy rapper that dominated the charts in 2014 and 2015, is being sued by a young lady who alleges that he beat her up while she was over at his house in Los Angeles last June. The unnamed woman claims that Fetty punched her in her face and strangled her during the assault. She also said that he threatened to kill her.
Her complaint claims that "during the course of the night, Fetty Wap consumed numerous alcoholic beverages culminating with (Fetty) drinking tequila directly from the bottle."
The liquor allegedly made Fetty Wap become aggressive for no reason and started getting physical with a variety of people at the party, including the woman who was beaten.
Fetty keeps getting mangled in violent allegations.
Last fall Fetty Wap was arrested on suspicion of assaulting three employees at a Las Vegas Strip hotel-casino called The Mirage.
Those charges were dropped, as was a lawsuit against the rap star for allegedly beating up a girl inside of a mansion in the Hollywood Hills during an altercation in June of 2019.

The rapper-singer has never been one for humility, but he’s had a change of heart. Tory took to Twitter on Tuesday to apologize for once claiming that he was the “best rapper alive.”

R. Kelly’s Request for Coronavirus Release Denied

R. Kelly won’t be getting out of jail.
A Brooklyn judge denied the singer’s request for release on Tuesday due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to Variety, the judge ruled that he is not among the inmates most endangered by the disease.
Kelly remains behind bars at the Chicago Metropolitan Correctional Center, where he is awaiting trial on racketeering, sexual misconduct, and other charges in three jurisdictions.
Last month, his attorneys filed a request for the 53-year-old singer’s release, citing his age and a recent surgery as factors that put him at greater risk for the virus. They asked that he be placed on home confinement in Chicago.
On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly denied the motion, saying Kelly remains a flight risk. “The defendant is currently in custody because of the risks that he will flee or attempt to obstruct, threaten or intimidate prospective witnesses,” said Donnelly. “The defendant has not explained how those risks have changed.”
Prosecutors also noted that MCC Chicago inmates are provided with free soap, and more is available to purchase from the commissary. “Simply residing in MCC Chicago cannot be a basis for being released,” argued prosecutors.
Other high-profile inmates have asked for their release due to the pandemic. 6ix9ine was released from prison to home confinement four months early due to his asthma. YNW Melly, who is awaiting trial for his double-murder case, contracted COVD-19 while in jail and has filed an emergency motion asking for his release, saying he’s on the verge of dying from the illness.

Drake Previews Unreleased Playboi Carti and Fivio Foreign Collaborations

Hot off the release of “Toosie Slide,” Drake is breaking fans off with more music.
The 6 God took over OVO Mark’s Instagram Live in the early hours of Tuesday morning to preview unreleased music ahead of his upcoming album, including collaborations with Playboi Carti and Fivio Foreign.
On his JB Made It-produced track with Fivio, Drake shouts out Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Kylie Jenner over a drill-inspired instrumental. “Sosa, Fivi looking like KD and Kyrie / My TD Bank is on what? My TD Bank is on Kylie,” he boasts.
He kept the heat coming with another track potentially titled “Rollin’.” “Yeah we rollin’, yeah we rollin’ / Deep pockets on a ni**a I can’t find my phone in,” raps Drake.
He also addressed the previously leaked “Not Around” and confirmed that the song will appear on his upcoming album. “People keep asking me to play ‘Not Around.’ Don’t worry, a new version is coming on the album…proper version,” he said.
The comments lit up when Champagne Papi teased his Playboi Carti collaboration “Pain 1993,” which is expected to appear on Carti’s long-awaited album Whole Lotta Red. “Used to be an anti-social ni**a, now I’m making friends,” raps Drizzy. “Tell Carti drop this,” he told fans.
During the surprise livestream, he also revealed the inspiration behind his viral hit “Toosie Slide.” “Shout out to Toosie ’cause when I first made that song, I was only talking about a moonwalk,” explained Drake. “That’s why I was like, ‘left foot up, right foot slide,’ but Toosie made the dance to that shit, so it’s poppin’ now. I didn’t know it was gonna be a dance song like that but it is what it is. We’re just having fun, getting warmed up.”
Before heading back to the studio, he assured fans that the follow-up to Scorpion is coming soon. “Album’s on the way, ’bout to slap head tops off,” he said.

EXCLUSIVE: Judge Denies R. Kelly's Freedom Despite Fear Of Death

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly can forget about getting a taste of freedom any time soon. That's because a judge just shot down the jailed singer's attempt to get out of the MCC prison in Chicago, over his fear of catching the coronavirus.
R. Kelly's lawyer Steve Greenberg insisted his client was languishing in prison as he awaits trial for racketeering, for allegedly overseeing a sex enterprise that exploited teenaged girls and women.
R. Kelly claimed he was at a high risk of catching the coronavirus because of the unsanitary conditions inside of the jail, where he said it was "impossible" to practice social distancing.

To make matters worse, the 53-year-old is still trying to recover from a hernia operation he underwent behind bars in January of 2020.
United States District Judge Ann M. Donnelly acknowledged R. Kelly's justifiable concerns for his health, but the fear of God was not enough to get the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer uncaged, especially since there have been no cases of COVID-19 at MCC.
"While I am sympathetic to the defendant’s understandable anxiety about COVID-19, he has not established compelling reasons warranting his release. At present, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the MCC in Chicago," Judge Donnelly said.
The judge also told R. Kelly to forget about using his hernia operation as an excuse to argue he is at a higher risk of contracting the deadly disease.
"Although the defendant has had surgery during his incarceration, he does not explain how his surgical history places him at a higher risk of severe illness," Judge Donnelly wrote.
And most importantly R. Kelly could attempt to threaten the witnesses in his case or even worse, simply vanish if he is released back into the population, pandemic or not.
"The defendant here has not demonstrated an analogous change in circumstances that would alter the Court’s conclusion that he is a flight risk and that he poses danger to the community, particularly to prospective witnesses," Judge Donnelly ruled as she denied the singer's motion for release.
