Beyoncé Called Out Fabolous Over Solange Lyric

Don’t get between Beyoncé and Solange.
Fabolous learned a valuable lesson when he compared Bey and her younger sister. During an interview with “The Breakfast Club,” he addressed one of his lyrics that caught the attention of Queen Bey.
“I never do the bronze ’cause if you could have Beyoncé, would you take Solange?” he raps on the Nicki Minaj-assisted “For the Money” off 2010’s The Funeral Service: There Is No Competition 2.
He revealed that Bey confronted him after she and Solange heard the song in a club, which made him think twice about the gravity of his punchlines.

“The first person I saw was Bey and Beyoncé was like, ‘Yo, let me holler at you.’ She was just telling me that they rock with me,” he said. “I really didn’t even think when I was saying it that, I didn’t really connect to it like that.”
He didn’t realize the hurt he may have caused at Solange’s expense. “I didn’t see the deeper side of it. Beyoncé, she told me like, this is people. Saying something like that to a person could hurt her. And I said, you know what? I get it.”
Fab promised to apologize to Solange and Bey gave him some sound advice that he carries with him today. “She did say one thing. She said the tongue is mighty and when you say something, especially somebody of your stature, make sure it’s what you want to say because you could be hurting somebody that you don’t even know.”
Ever since then, he has become more conscious of his lyrics. “It really woke me up. Up until that point, I would say anything in a rap that was catchy.”

EXCLUSIVE: Converted Kanye West Settles Claim He Stole “The Spirit Of Marcus Garvey”

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has made peace with a songwriter from Guyana, who claims the rapper literally stole the "spirt" of Marcus Garvey.
Actor Ronald Oslin Bobb-Semple filed a lawsuit against Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Ty Dolla $ign, claiming they ripped off his 2002 vocal performance “The Spirit of Marcus Garvey."
The trio then worked Bobb-Semple's sampled vocals into The Kids See Ghost track "Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)," with no permission on the album, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Kanye originally pushed back against Bobb-Semple's demand for unspecified damages, as well as an injunction to halt the sales of "Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)."
But Kanye abruptly stopped fighting the lawsuit earlier this week, when his lawyer announced he had settled with Ronald Oslin-Bobb Semple.
The entire lawsuit has been dismissed without prejudice.
Now Kanye West just has to finalize the settlement with the court within the next 30 days and the battle with Bobb-Semple will be officially over.
Earlier this month, Kanye West announced he had come to a settlement with EMI over a lawsuit concerning the rapper’s bid to be released from his "servitude" contract with the publishing giant.

Lil Wayne Says ‘Funeral’ Album Coming ‘Soon’

2 hours ago News

Lil Wayne is making Funeral arrangements.
The rapper’s long-awaited album appears to be nearing release. On Wednesday night, the Young Money boss shared a six-second teaser clip on Twitter and Instagram with a rotating Funeral logo. “Soon !!” he captioned it along with the coffin emoji.

While an exact release date is unknown, Wayne previously said the album would arrive next month. When a fan asked when it was dropping, he responded, “Feb my G.”
He has collaborated with Lil Baby, Big Sean, and London On Da Track for the project, which will have a more current feel. “With me, what the new thing is for me is actually trying to put out music that sounds like a little more like today’s music,” he told XXL last year.
Funeral, which follows 2018’s Tha Carter V, was first announced in 2016. In August, he revealed that the album was complete and was slated for release by the end of 2019.
Wayne recently taped episodes of TIDAL’s “Car Test” and N.O.R.E.’s “Drink Champs” podcast, which are scheduled to drop in the next two weeks to coincide with the album’s release.

Diddy Can Now Legally Call Himself “Love”

(AllHipHop News) Sean "Diddy' Combs has officially adopted a new moniker - his petition to become Sean Love Combs has been granted.
The rap mogul and entrepreneur filed a petition to change his name in October, and according to court documents, the alteration has been approved.
Diddy's previous legal name was Sean John Combs, though professionally he has gone by Puff Daddy and P. Diddy for years.
In November 2017, he took to Twitter to inform fans he was going by "Love, aka, Brother Love" and would "not be answering" to any other titles.
He later claimed the statement was made in jest, noting the name "was just part of one of my alter egos."
He added, "You can address me by any of my older names, but if you still wanna call me Love, you can call me Love, baby. But I was only playing."
The news comes as the music mogul continues to mourn the loss of his ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter.
On Wednesday, he took to Instagram to share a heartfelt dedication to the late model, who is the mother of three of his kids.
"If you got a good woman please let her know," he posted. "Tell her as soon as you can. Make sure she knows. Make sure she feels it. HONOR HER. CHERISH HER. Cause the special ones are RARE and FEW. And everyone doesn't get a second chance. LET THE ONE YOU LOVE KNOW TODAY. RIGHT NOW!!!!"
Porter passed away from pneumonia at her Los Angeles home in November 2018. The former couple dated on and off from 1994 to 2007, but Diddy and Kim remained close until her death.

The Weeknd Performs ‘Blinding Lights’ on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

3 hours ago Live Performances

Just days after debuting the music video, The Weeknd took over “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday night for an ’80s-inspired performance of “Blinding Lights.”
The Uncut Gems star opened his retro set dressed in the same red blazer from the video, with a bloody eye and bandaged nose. The camera zoomed in and turned upside down as he performed against a hazy backdrop with lightning effects before emerging to a standing ovation.
Last month, Abel delivered another captivating performance of the song on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” where he also performed his other single “Heartless.” “Blinding Lights” has earned over 330 million streams since its November release.
Watch The Weeknd take it back with his late-night set.

Fabolous Talks Being Persuaded by Beyonce, New Music & More on The Breakfast Club

Fabolous stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning to talk with Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy.

During the 50 minute interview, the New York veteran spoke about various topics like being more transparent with family affairs, taking care of his kids, not needing validation from anyone, his crazy punchlines, fashion sense and more.

Around the 36 minute mark, Fab talked about being pressed by Beyonce about a specific punchline he had: “Cause if you could have Beyoncé, would you take Solange” on the song ‘For The Money‘ off There is No Competition 2 mixtape. “You know who actually stopped me? Solange. It was some mixtape freestyle, and I said ‘if you could have Beyonce would you take Solange? Luckily she didn’t run down on me in an elevator.”
“The first person I saw was Beyonce,” he said. “She was like ‘let me holla at you.’ I went over there and she was telling me they rock with me — I didn’t think when I was saying it, I didn’t connect like that. With Beyonce, I ain’t gonna share the exact conversation but she told me, ‘these are people. Saying something like that could personally hurt her.’ I said ‘I did it, and when I see Solange that I’ll apologize to her. I ended up seeing her a few years ago. I went to Solange to apologize. She was stiff. I was like ‘Hey what’s up.'” I was like, I didn’t mean any malice but I apologize for it,” he continues.
