New Music: Mickey Factz – ‘WRAiTH’ (Royce 5’9″ Diss)

Last Thursday was an extremely fun day in Hip-Hop. We woke up to Royce 5’9″ addressing Lupe Fiasco with ‘Silence Of The Lambda‘ and just a few hours later, Lupe dropping an all out diss track called ‘Steve Jobs (SLR 3 1/2)‘. Royce ended up tweeting that he wouldn’t attack Lupe personally and we later found out that the two were done with their podcast because of the situation. The same night of the tweet, Royce was on Instagram Live with Three, talking about the situation. Mickey Factz ended up joining and things got very interesting. If you’re out of the loop, Mickey and Lupe are close. When the original conversation about Royce and Lupe battling came up, Mickey said that he had $10k on Lupe winning. Royce put Mickey in a couple of lines on ‘Silence Of The Lambda’ and Lupe shouted him out on his own diss. But when Mickey and Royce hopped on together the night of the chaos, Mickey wondered how much of Royce’s track was really for him.Royce’s response to him asking about it was to tell him “I’ma say your name some more ’cause I just feel like that’s what you want.” Mickey clarified by saying he doesn’t want anything other than to know what lines were directed at him and that he’d take things from there.“Just make sure when you go in there, man, you ain’t just snapping words together… them Lego raps ain’t gon’ work… take your time with this one, make it count” Royce told him.The conversation got very passive aggressive from there, with the pair dancing around the idea of battling each other. Royce kept asking him if he could check boxes as a rapper, without expanding on what that meant. He also told Mickey that he didn’t think that he could hang with the likes of him, King Los, Black Thought, KXNG Crooked and CyHi The Prynce. Eventually, the topic of Royce’s diss track came back up.Mickey said “in the beginning of the song, you say ‘I put a hole in your son while I’m holding your Sun Chips’. Lupe ain’t got no son. So now I’m asking you is this about me, ’cause I have a son and the joint was going at Lupe and then my name was mentioned, so I’m tryna understand where we at with it.”Royce responded “I didn’t have you in mind when I said that line but I now wanna put you there, I wanna connect that line to you, I want you to have it… the line is meant for you, I’m giving it to you right here in front of everybody.”There’s a lot more to it, like Royce saying Joe Budden’s verse on ‘Truth Or Truth’ is better than ‘Mural’, that Mickey was instigating with him and Lupe and him calling Mickey and Lupe “gay”, but calling it a joke afterwards. You can watch the whole conversation below. Budden and Daylyt end up joining.[embedded content]Now, Mickey has taken it to wax. After tweeting about the Live, saying that he had a good time and was unbothered by what people thought was bullying, in his own words, “we have to sadly remind cats”. Mickey drops a song called ‘WRAiTH’ which goes at Royce. Mickey was on Live for about 50 minutes right before this dropped and he made a point to say he hopes that Royce responds and that the song is out of love, albeit tough love. It’s produced by AWSME J and you can listen to it below.[embedded content]

DaBaby Responds to Backlash Over Homophobic Comments

DaBaby is lashing out at his critics in the wake of his controversial comments.
While on stage at Rolling Loud Miami on Sunday, the “Ball If I Want To” rapper made a series of vile comments that were offensive to the LGBTQ+ community.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually-transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two, three weeks, put a cell phone lighter up,” DaBaby told the crowd. “Fellas, if you ain’t suckin’ dick in the parking lot, put your cell phone lights up.”
His DJ also added, “Some of y’all ni**as suspect as a motherfu**er, let’s be real.”

Now after the video went viral and sparked backlash, DaBaby is addressing what he calls “weak ass internet shit.” Taking to his Instagram Story, he explained that his live show is intended for those in the audience and not those watching online.
“What I do at a live show, it’s for the audience at the live show,” he said. “It will never translate correctly to somebody looking at a little 5-6 second clip from they goddamn crib on their phone. It just don’t work like that.”
He claims that his words were “twisted” and that he doesn’t discriminate against anyone who comes to his shows, gay or straight. “All my fans at the show, the gay ones and the straight ones, we turned the f**k up,” he added. “My boy that was at the front of the stage left over there, ask him. We were turnt all night. My boy had the crop top on, front row. He out there in that jungle, in that water. He knew the words. I saw him. I was rappin’ them bitches with him.”
He attempted to clarify his comments. “I said if you don’t got AIDS put a cell phone light up. I said if you ain’t suck d**k in the parking lot put your cell phone lights up, so I could drop my next song. I wasn’t goin’ on no rant. That’s called a call-to-action. That’s what that’s called, ’cause I’m a live performer. I’m the best live performer. I’m the live show killer.”
[embedded content][embedded content]
According to DaBaby, his fans don’t have AIDS because they’re not “nasty gays” or “junkies.”
“Even my gay fans, don’t got f**kin’ AIDS, stupid ass ni**as. They don’t got AIDS. My gay fans, they take care of themselves,” he said. “They ain’t goin’ for that. They ain’t no nasty gay ni**as. They ain’t no junkies. My gay fans, they got class. They ain’t suckin’ no d**k in no parking lot. You gotta get a room. A good one, 5-star hotel. You gotta wait to go to the crib. If they a fan of me, they on some big dog s**t. We ain’t just goin’ for nothin’. Even my gay fans got standards.”
He continued to dismiss the criticism. “This s**t don’t concern y’all at all. Don’t be disturbin’ my motherf**kin’ gay fans. You ain’t supposed to get it. It ain’t supposed to translate through a little 6-second clip on the cell phone. You ain’t supposed to see that s**t anyway.”
T.I. came to DaBaby’s defense in the wake of the backlash, commenting, “If Lil Nas X can kick his shit in peace… so should dababy.”
To add more fuel to the fire, DaBaby angered some fans by bringing out Tory Lanez during his Rolling Loud set, which followed Megan Thee Stallion’s performance.

T.I. Weighs In on DaBaby’s Homophobic Comments

T.I. is stirring up more controversy.
Amid allegations of sexual assault, the Atlanta rapper is weighing in on DaBaby’s viral comments. While on stage at Rolling Loud Miami on Sunday, the “Ball If I Want To” rapper raised eyebrows for his rant against the LGBTQ+ community.
His DJ also chimed in, “Some of y’all ni**as suspect as a motherfu**er, let’s be real.”

DaBaby’s homophobic remarks sparked backlash on social media, prompting T.I. to respond. He came to DaBaby’s defense, while mentioning Lil Nas X, who is openly gay.
“If Lil Nas X can kick his shit in peace… so should dababy,” he commented.
Despite his sentiments, T.I. insisted that he is not homophobic. “Ain’t nothing in the world gon’ make me hate somebody cause they do something different in the bedroom than I do,” he said on Instagram Live. “You can’t make me homophobic just ‘cause I’m proud to be heterosexual. Ain’t no hate in that.”
He applauded artists like Lil Nas X and Frank Ocean for “living their truth.” “A lot of you motherfu**ers hide your truth,” he added. “I got a lot of respect for [Lil Nas X], but that shit ain’t for me. I don’t want my children seeing it either. Their minds haven’t developed to the place where they can sort it out.”
DaBaby’s Rolling Loud set was marred by controversy. He also brought out Tory Lanez following Megan Thee Stallion’s set.

DaBaby Brings Out Tory Lanez After Megan Thee Stallion’s Set at Rolling Loud

DaBaby’s Rolling Loud set was full of surprises.
During his performance on Day 3 of the festival in Miami on Sunday, DaBaby teased the audience with a mystery guest, who appeared on stage wearing a giant baby mascot costume.

“I’ll give somebody out here a million dollars if they can guess who in here,” DaBaby told the crowd. “I got a million dollars right now if you can guess who.”

Tory took off the costume to reveal himself before he and DaBaby performed their collaboration “SKAT,” just moments after DaBaby delivered a solo version of “Cry Baby,” his collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, who accused Tory of shooting her last year. What’s more, DaBaby’s set came right after Megan’s own performance, something that didn’t go unnoticed by fans.

Dababy bringing Tory Lanez out right after Megan Thee Stallion performed is not petty its evil. Tory shot that girl. He literally tried to harm that girl. This ain't no rap beef quit trying to minimize what Tory did to that girl.

dababy brought out tory lanez, turned up, and then proceeded to play a megan song after he left 😭😭😭. Bro loves drama.
— Housieee (@housie_) July 26, 2021

Last month, Megan called out her “Cry Baby” collaborator after he seemingly retweeted a fan who joked about the shooting for which Tory was charged with assault.
“support me in private and publicly do something different…these industry men are very strange,” she tweeted.
A concertgoer also surprised DaBaby by throwing a shoe at him while he was performing onstage. “Who the f**k threw that motherfu**in’ busted ass goddamn adidas?” he asked with a stunned look on his face.
Following his surprise Rolling Loud appearance, Tory dropped his new single “Grah Tah Tah” featuring Kodak Black.
