During her opening monologue on the Soul Train Awards, Erykah Badu took some time to take shots at Iggy Azalea. She was doing a phone call style monologue because that is the theme of her upcoming mixtape and she had a lot of jokes but only one got everyones attention. “Who is this? “Iggy Azalea? Yeah, hey… no, no, no, you cant come, ’cause what you doin’ is definitely not rap.” She said and the audience laughed and gasped and of course it was all over social media. Check out the clip below.
Ice-T & CoCo have been together for a whopping 13 years and they have just recently decided to have a child together. Their daughter named Chanel Nicole has just been born this past weekend and is healthy. CoCo made sure to post a picture of the baby on her Instagram with the caption “Surprise!!! Look who came early!! Welcome the new arrival of Chanel Nicole, a beautiful healthy 5.7 pound and 18 inch baby girl. Ice and I are so proud! Chief Keef really hasn’t had any hit songs since his song “Don’t Like” was sky rocketed by a Kanye West feature but he just hasn’t been able to maintain it. Chief Keef’s contract has been suspended by his label for the last two weeks because they had went off and did a tour without the labels permission. This was made known by the CEO of FilmOn, Alki David in a statement with Vlad TV. “[We are] not happy with the direction they are taking him. Same shit over and over. Limiting his appeal to a wider audience and I’m not saying he should sell out, just be more prolific.” He said talking about Keef’s management who are the ones who set up the tour. Seems all the blame is on Chief Keef’s management but all and all this is not a good look at all.
50 Cent fans wait anxiously for more information about his next mixtape “The Kanan Tap” which is supposed to come before his next album “Street King Immortal”. This hasn’t happened yet though and people want to know what is up. Calling into DJ Whoo Kid and gave the people updates on the projects. First off “The Kanan Tape” is dropping in the first week of December 50 announced and will have 8 tracks and a short film to go along with it which actually was the reason for the projects delay. This was enough to make the fans happy but 50 announced that he has another mixtape after this one that will be called Reloaded but never gave a release date. This is more then enough material for his fans though and it is good to see 50 Cent is bringing a constant flow of music again.
A brand new track which is a tribute to the late member of the ASAP Mob, ASAP Yams was played while ASAP Rocky was doing a show in Hong Kong. This is interesting because the ASAP Mob was supposed to have an album together called “Lord Never Worry” but it was cancelled after numerous delays and this new track could mean an album like it featuring all the members could be coming in the near Future which many fans have been hyped for.
While at the Drake night at the Toronto Raptors stadium Drake was asked what his thoughts were on Adele wanting to be in an official Hotline Bling remix. Drake responded “I’d do anything with Adele, i’d literally go to Adele’s house right now and do laundry for her.” Hotline Bling is an extremely popular track right now and who wouldn’t want to hear Adele’s amazing vocal talent on a remix.
Both Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole are some of the best rap artist in the game today with very impressive lyricism and flow. Today they both dropped brand new remixes to each others hit songs so Kendrick did “A Tale of 2 Citiez” and J.Cole did “Alright”. These tracks really show how talented these two really are and it is really impressive so check them out below. At the end of J.Cole’s song he says that he has something coming out in February but it cuts off before we know what it is but all of the fans are hoping it is a Kendrick/J.Cole mixtape or album which would be insane.

During an after show for his “Madness” tour Travi$ Scott gave a Montreal crowd a listen to a brand new song. The venue was Apartment 200 and Scott went through some of the songs from his latest album and the brand new track. Some people though the song was actually a remix to and older song by Tinashe but Travi$ clarified over twitter that it was not in fact a remix. Check out the clip below.
Though the rumors that Tyga and Kylie Jenner were broken up may not have been true it seems that something is going on because Tyga is allegedly moving out of her house. Kylie has continued to take photos with Tyga over the last few days to make it seem like all is well but it is reported that Tyga has moved out. The reason for this change is apparently they don’t want to just be known as Tyga and Kylie they want to be their own individuals.
Beyonce is reportedly has decided to team up with Topshop’s own Philip Green and will be starting up a new brand but they have no name for it yet. A statement that came out said that the brand will be announced and will launch in Spring of 2016. But this is all the info we have at this time but with it being Beyonce it will no doubt draw in a ton of fans who are ready and willing to buy her clothing lines.
Seemingly out of know where Lil Boosie, recently released from prison rapper, had posted on his Instagram account saying “I need all my fans to pray for me Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that’s why I’m letting the world know prayforboosie.” The picture showed Boosie surrounded by plates of food. Later Boosie deleted that caption but kept the photo posted but everyone is still unsure why that is. Keep it locked for any updates.
A new collab between Young Thug and Rihanna seems to be in the works and on the way. With Rihanna set to release her new album Anti in two days time and Young Thug constantly putting out new music for his fans the timing seems right. We know this is happening because one of Young Thugs people took a photo of both Rihanna and Young Thug in the studio with the caption “Thug and Rihanna in the studio……..The engineer had waked out of the studio and Alex [Thugs Engineer] wasn’t there but she wanted to hear some beats and some thug songs..” Check out the photo below.
Popular sitcom, “Fresh Off The Boat”, which is on ABC which the main character is obsessed with hip-hop all through his childhood. The show takes place in 1995 and will feature DMX as a guest-star though he has definitely aged since 95 it will still be cool to see DMX play himself in the sitcom. Rich Homie Quan was once signed to Think It’s A Game Entertainment and he is now suing them for $2 million because of unpaid royalties. But now it has come out that the label is now counter suing Quan to try and stop him from putting out any new music or sign with any other labels. Drake and Nicki Minaj have been have good long runs in the industry staying very busy and being very successful. TIME has actually picked Drake and Nicki Minaj as well as Barack Obama and more to be nominated to be their Person Of The Year which would be a huge honor. The list ranges from actors to pop stars to athletes and political people so competition is definitely stiff but just getting put into the same conversation has got to feel good.
