Bobby Shmurda, if you don’t remember, was arrested along with other members of his GS9 crew and was charged with over 100 different crimes that ranged from conspiracy to possession. Each member is on Riker’s Island with a bail set at $2 million all awaiting trial. Today it was announced that Bobby and Rowdy Rebel have had their trail dates set for June 25th. Shmurda’s lawyer after the court appearance told XXL “What I would want is some reasonableness to take place and that this young man can be given a reasonable bail and get out, but I know what we’re up against. We’re not up against reason. We’re up against the rule of law.” Keep it right here for any updates on this case.

Just last night Tyga’s ex Blac Chyna who is also the mother of his child took to Instagram posting a picture of her with her lips enlarged. This all happens after the whole #KylieJennerChallenge that kids have been doing and posting on social media where they would make their lips huge trying to copy Kylie Jenner. Though she never uses the hashtag in her pic Chyna makes it pretty obvious she’s taking shots at Kylie who is currently seeing Tyga secretly. Kylie also posted a pic of her driving what is said to be Tyga’s truck with the caption “Currently” and Chyna posted a photo soon after saying “Permanently” which a photo of her wearing next to nothing.
Vic Mensa signs to Roc Nation
It was thought that Vic Mensa would sign with GOOD Music since he has been spending so much time with Kanye West for the past few months. But it turns out Mensa has just signed a deal with Roc Nation which Kanye is also signed too which is a big deal because Mensa only has one mixtape and an EP. Vic Mensa is joining J. Cole, Jay Electronica, Rihanna, more on the label. This seems like a great fit for Vic and he may still get to work closely with Ye which can only be good for his career.

Rich Homie Quan says he was hurt by Young Thug calling him “Bitch Homie Quan”
Rich Homie Quan was on ESPN’s “Highly Questionable” where he talks about his rough childhood robbing houses four times a week and talks about his falling out with Young Thug. As you may recall a few weeks back Young Thug called Rich Homie Quan “Bitch Homie Quan” while on stage at a show yet both parties claimed there was no beef. But Quan told “Highly Questionable” that the words Young Thug said upset him. “Not to get in my feelings, but it hurt. Not as in I’m going to cry, but I would never disrespect you point blank period, especially when we have each other’s numbers.” Now Quan isn’t going to be throwing insults back at Young Thug but we can expect the two won’t be working with one another anymore.

Big Sean and Ariana Grande call it quits
Us Weekly is reporting that Ariana Grande and Big Sean have broken up which seemingly came out of nowhere. Both Seans and Grande’s reps have confirmed that they have indeed split by putting out this statement “They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends. We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time. They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year.” So it seems that there is no bad blood between the two so looks like we won’t be getting a IDFWU part two.
Diddy says Kanye West is the newest member of The Hitmen
Kanye West created Very GOOD Beats which houses several great producers including Q-Tip, Hudson Mohawke, and more. The practice of having a bunch of producers on one track creating something amazing goes all the way back to Diddy and his production team, The Hitmen, who released 21 platinum and gold tracks together. A few days ago Diddy announced the return of the Hitmen which will include him returning members Chucky Thompson, Deric Angelettie, Steven Jordan, Mario Winans, and Nashiem Myrick. But now the team will have Kanye West added this year so Diddy’s next album “MMM” may be something for everyone to look forward to.
Drake brings out Nicki Minaj at Coachella and seems to confirm her engagement
Drake did his thing on the Coachella stage and everyone was surprised when Nicki Minaj showed up on stage last night. Though Nicki didn’t rap at all she made an appearance and after Drake finished the song he said “It’s been too long, mama. You gotta make some noise for the love of my life. I love this girl right here.” Then Drake congratulates Minaj which we can assume is for the engagement to Meek Mill but these two are known to joke around with the media so we must wait and see the official word. Check out the video below.

Two members of Migos, Quavo & Offset, arrested during concert at Georgia Southern University
Migos did a concert at Georgia Southern University last night and police showed up and stopped the music. The police arrested Quavo, Offset, and some other members of their crew and TMZ obtained video of the police waiting backstage and police waiting. Both members were arrested for marijuana possession which is a misdemeanor. What is being said right now is that they found cocaine, oxycontin, and codeine as well as possession of a firearm. This gives them a charge of carrying a gun on school property plus Offset was just released from prison back in October of 2013 and is being charged with a gun possession by a convicted felon which is not good. No word as to why the third Migo, Take Off, wasn’t charged with anything but keep it locked right here for more information.

Tidal just got rid of its CEO
The new TIDAL streaming service hasn’t had the best start even after all the endorsement from big name artist like Jay Z, Madonna, Usher, and Kanye. Just recently the CEO of TIDAL, Andy Chen, was forced out of the company along with 25 employees. The company released the following statement “TIDAL’s new interum [sic] CEO is Peter Tonstad – a former CEO of parent company Aspiro Group. He has a better understanding of the industry and a clear vision for how the company is looking to change the status quo. He’s streamlining resources to ensure talent is maximized to enhance the customer experience. We’ve eliminated a handful of positions and refocused our company-wide talent to address departments that need support and cut redundancies. TIDAL’s offices globally will remain and grow: we are already hiring for several new positions now. We’re excited about our future and what’s in-store for fans who want the best listening experience.” Later Peter released a more personal statement that said “I believe in TIDAL and what the team is doing to affect the change the music industry needs. We’re streamlining the company and refocusing our resources to ensure the platform continues to grow, and listeners can make a connection to their favorite artists. No one else is doing this.”
To Pimp A Butterfly goes gold
The highly anticipated sophomore album from Kendrick Lamar “To Pimp A Butterfly” has just gone gold. Last year only three artists had achieved this but this year things are looking much better in music sales with Kendrick moving 513,000 units. The others that made it over the 500,000 mark this year are Drake, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, and Same Smith. This makes this year the fastest that we have gotten 7 gold album sellers in the least amount of time since 2010 that had 8 gold by April 11th. So congratulations to Kendrick on his achievement and it looks like things are slowly on the rise for the music industry.
