Well in a time where albums are really dropping out of nowhere this really shouldn’t be a surprise but somehow it is. Tyler, The Creator is set to drop an album in a weeks’ time and it will be called “Cherry Bomb”. Details about the album have also surfaced like the fact that Kanye, Pharrell, Lil Wayne, Schoolboy Q, and Kali Uchis are all featured on this album in some form.  With Kanye and Wayne both appearing on the same track a lot of fans are very hyped to take a listen to this collaboration. Make sure to check out Cherry Bomb when it drops because it is sure to be something new and different as always with Tyler, The Creator.

 

A few weeks back Rich Homie Quan was accused of assaulting a security guard while just outside Club LIV in Miami, Florida. At first Quan was maintaining his innocence even putting out a statement about the situation saying he is innocent but that changed today when he turned himself in. NBC has reported Quan will be facing a misdemeanor charge of battery though it is still unclear how long Quan will be held in custody or if he will even plead guilty to the charges. The report from the club is that the security guard was punched twice in the face by Quan which gave him a broken nose. Of course we will keep you up to date on any future developments in this situation.

Young Thug seems to not care one bit about Lil Wayne fans disagreeing with his album title because he is setting it all in stone. Taking to Instagram Young Thug has revealed the artwork and release date of his upcoming album Carter VI. The artwork shows Thug shirtless with a red backdrop with the caption “4/17” which indicates the release date of the project. Check out the cover art for the album below.

With the smart phones and apps is a market blowing up now days of course everyone is trying to get a piece of the action including Tyler, The Creator of Hip-Hop collective Odd Future. Today, Tyler launched his first app which is the Golf Media App. This app connects fans to Tyler’s Ideas “Golf Media is basically my brain in one place. It does just about everything except cure asthma. If you find an app that cures asthma, definitely let me know.” Says Tyler in the description of his app. The app will give fans the first issue of GOLF magazine after they register and they will be able to subscribe to the app for $5 a month though new subscribers will get 2 months free. Tonight at 9PM Tyler is set to have an announcement about his service so fans should stay tuned for that.

Back in July 2013 Kanye West grabbed a member of the paparazzi outside of the LAX airport and got physical with him. Ye, was able to get out of a misdemeanor battery charge by pleading no contest but the photographer had not stopped trying to get some money out of Kanye. Now the case has been settled outside of the court rooms with terms that have not been shared with the public. Kanye did apologize to the photographer with a handshake today though showing the public that all is well again. Check out the photo of the handshake below.

 

It was previously thought that Lil Wayne may have dropped his $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money. This is now known to be untrue and Wayne has just moved the lawsuit from New York to New Orleans according to his lawyer, Ron Sweeney. “We gave them until [Monday], April 6th to file an answer,” said Sweeney to Rolling Stone. “[Cash Money] said they were going to challenge the venue, so at that point, it was a waste of time and money, so we all agreed that we would dismiss the action [in New York] and Wayne and [his record label] Young Money would re-file in New Orleans.” This case is far from over so keep it locked for all future updates on this case.

In an interview with MTV Killer Mike talks a little about the shout out Kendrick gave him in his latest album. Specifically the shout out was in Kendricks song “Hood Politics” with the lines “”Critics want to mention that they miss when Hip-Hop was rappin’/ Motherfucker if you did, then Killer Mike’d be platinum”. Mike gave Kendrick a nod on via twitter after he found out about the shout out to him but he gave greater detail during the interview with MTV. “I felt like when a professional ballplayer compliments another professional ballplayer. That is a compliment; no one can understand how truly dope that is unless you’re a ballplayer. Unless you stepped on the court and laced up your shoes and had to play against Jordan you don’t understand what a compliment it is when Jordan says, ‘Yeah, I like that guy, he’s one of those ones.’” Killer Mike also added that he thought it was a honor because he himself is a big fan of Kendrick and it was nice to find out Kendrick is a fan of his too in such a great way. Kanye West is known to produce huge albums because he has a lot of experience and talent in that field. So now it has come out that Kanye will be executive producing the soundtrack for an upcoming drama called “Underground”. This show will be during the times of slavery in America and follow a group of men and women attempting to flee the slave trade through the Underground Railroad. It should be really cool to see how Kanye approaches this task.

Fans of Frank Ocean have been restless for a long time now waiting on his next album but they can finally relax since one is coming very soon. It is said that the follow up to Oceans 2012 album, channel ORANGE, will be called Boys Don’t Cry coming in two separate versions according to a Tumblr post for Frank Ocean himself. Plus Billboard has confirmed that his album will be coming in July yet there is still no title or exact date but still very exciting for fans.

So it begins Jay Z has just taken his debut album “Reasonable Doubt” down off of the hugely popular music streaming service Spotify. Though it is not one of his most popular albums on Spotify it shows that he is serious about supporting the new TIDAL streaming service. Plus Rihanna and Beyonce have both debuted exclusive tracks on the new streaming service already which means this trend may not be changing. What if in the future the only way we can listen to Jay Z, Kanye, Beyonce, Rihanna, J. Cole ect is through TIDAL? That would be a big deal and will really cut into Spotify’s business.

A man 21 years of age is saying that DMX has robbed him with his crew at a Newark Exxon gas station on Sunday morning. The man says that he recognized DMX at the gas station at 12:30 am and walked up to him. “The two had a brief conversation about rap music and during the conversation a male in DMX’s entourage, showed the victim a gun and demanded the victim’s money,” Newark police spokesperson said in a statement. The man says that he had $3,200 in his pocket which was snatched by DMX before he and crew jumped in one of four black escalades and taking off. The man managed to tail them though and got a license plate written down which could be their downfall if any of this is true.

Today via twitter Kid Cudi graced his fans with the title of his upcoming highly anticipated album. This will be Kid Cudis first studio album while off of the G.O.O.D. music label but is supposed to be a return to the old Kid Cudi style. The title of the upcoming album is going to “Man on the Moon 3” though most fans were hoping for Man on the Moon 3. Cudi’s tweet read “My new album is called “Speedin’ Bullet To Heaven”. Coming really really soon, so stay in tune. – Cudder” Hopefully this album lives up to all the hype.

Late last month The Game was said to have punched an off duty cop at a pick-up basketball game. We have not heard anything further on the situation in a while but now that has changed. A lawsuit has been filed according to TMZ the Game says the victim threatened to pull a weapon on him. But the cop says that Game was unprovoked and just attacked him. The suit filed by the off-duty cop also states that he may have suffered brain damage from the punch from The Game. Game has not responded publicly to the matter but this is sure to get his attention. Keep it locked right here for more information as it develops.

Plies was thrown off stage to the ground by a fan of his right in the middle of his concert on Friday night. This was while Plies was performing in Tallahassee, FL and had invited one of his fans up onto the stage. Things took a quick turn when the fan got up in Plies face and you hear Plies warn the man that he is in his face. The fan then snaps bear hugging the rapper and throws him off the stage and things get really wild after that. The fan was jumped by security once he was on the ground and thrown out while Plies got right back up and continued the performance. As reported by Deadline Diddy is going to be producing an animated series on FX. The show is said to be called “Brightmoor” and is supposed to be like “South Park in inner-city Detroit.” The show was created by former King of the Hill writer, Chip Hall and Comedian Chris Powell. The show has been greenlit by the network so it is on the way so keep it locked right here for more information on it and eventually it’s first trailer.
