Ever since Young Thug announced the title of his upcoming project is going to be “Carter 6” Lil Wayne fans having been expressing their displeasure with his choice. Wayne still hasn’t made any comments on the title but his daughter, Reginae Carter, took to twitter to call out Young Thug. “Is he trying to be funny with this Carter6? Cause it’s pretty childish to me ! #myopinion” Reginae posted on twitter adding “Try again if you’re even trying to get on my fathers level”. She finished out her tweets with “YOU CANT SIT WITH US!!!!!” We’ll see if Young Thug responds to this in any way.
A man at the club rubs Drakes head and gets tackled by security
Drake was in a club in Dubai on his way out when a man decided to rub his head. Drake obviously was not happy about this, staring the man down. Security stepped in and threw the man to the ground before things could get out of hand thankfully. The man is lucky there was security because it looked like Drake and his crew where ready to go put hands on the man for his actions.
Kendricks “To Pimp A Butterfly” has taken the Spotify record
Kendrick Lamars sophomore album “To Pimp A Butterfly” is already setting records and breaking them on its first day out. The album was streamed a total of 9.6 million times via Spotify on Monday alone that instantly broke Drake’s “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” record that was set last month. This album is only in its second day so it may break a whole lot more records as time goes on.
Young Thug has confirmed his album is going to be called “Carter 6”
Last year Young Thug was talking about calling his next album the Carter 6 but everyone thought he was joking. It turns out that Young Thug was not joking about it and he took to Instagram to post a video clip oh a remix to one of his songs along with the caption “#CARTER6 OTW”. Thugs reps confirmed the title being the title of an upcoming Young Thug project. It is unclear whether the project will be an official album or a mixtape but it has to have Lil Wayne feeling some type of way since he is having so much trouble getting his album “Carter 5” out to his fans.
Rap duo Run the Jewels have been attacked on stage at SXSW
Run the Jewels was performing at SXSW in Austin, Texas yesterday when a man jumped on the stage and attacked them. The man was quickly swarmed by the duo’s crew and was taken out of the area and the show went on with no problems. EI-P was later quoted saying “We had no idea what that was”, and Killer Mike added to that saying “That was a fuckboy.” Check the video below.
Chris Brown calls Karrueche a thot on Instagram
We all knew something was coming out of this and it looks like Chris Brown isn’t happy with what his ex, Karrueche, has been posting on her Instagram. Chris was on Instagram looking at her Instagram and decided to comment on one of her most recent photos of her in a bikini which read “Thirst trap 101. continue to be a lady beautiful… U are perfect… Don’t let the thot form from anger,” but he soon after deleted the comment as usual.
Kendrick Lamar has released his album “To Pimp A Butterfly” a week early
Last night Kendrick took to twitter and posted his entire tracklist for his album that was supposed to be releasing on the 23rd of March. With features like Snoop Dogg, Ronald Isley, and George Clinton just to name a few the list got everyone excited for the album even more than they already where. Then surprisingly a few hours later Kendrick releases the album in its entirety at midnight with the clean version releasing first and then the explicit version. Drake is denying he was involved with the “Drake’s Homecoming: The Lost Footage” film
Drizzy Drake took to twitter recently to deny him and his teams involvement in the “Drake’s Homecoming: The Lost Footage” that hasn’t been released yet. “The Drake Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in. I feel it is my responsibility to inform and protect my fans.” Drake said in his tweet. The film is said to contain footage of a 2009 performance Drake did and is going to be released in 250 theaters on March 19.
Ludacris talks about the delay of “Ludaversal”
Ludacris is coving Vibe Magazine and in the cover story he talks about his upcoming album “Ludaversal”. Ludacris starts by saying that he didn’t intend to delay the album but it still suffered many push backs since its original 2012 release date. “Everything ended up working out perfectly” Luda said, “I didn’t mean for it to be like this, I took a little time off because after seven consecutive albums you need to get inspired again to have some shit to write about. However, I didn’t mean for it to be five years—more like three. When we were shooting Furious 7, of course there was the untimely death of our friend Paul Walker. Production got shut down and everything got pushed back an entire year.” Hopefully when this next album is out it is well worth the wait to all of Luda’s fans.
Kanye West will be headlining Glastonbury 2015
Kanye West will be one of the headlining acts at the annual Glastonbury festival in the United Kingdom. This makes Kanye only the second rap headliner in the entire history of the festival with the first being Jay Z. The festival runs from June 24 until June 28 Kanye will be headlining the show on the Saturday night. This festival is a very rock focused thing so it is really cool to see rap artist get invited and open more people up to the genre and how amazing it can be.
Nelly does a show in Iraq raising money for the war against ISIS
Nelly has not had any new music since way back in 2013 but that has not stopped him from doing shows. The latest show Nelly did was one unlike most others traveling to northern Iraq performing in Erbil which has made him the first American musical artist to ever perform there. The event was to raise money for the Kurdish military force called “peshmerga” and also had soccer and motocross. The entire event is said to have brought in around 15,000 people hopefully they got the funds they needed.
Jermaine Dupri has popped up to say Ciara’s most recent track is a rip-off of an Usher track
In the midst of the Robin Thicke and Pharrell case because of their hit “Blurred Lines” being so similar to Marvin Gaye’s 1997 hit song “Got to Give It Up” another producer is saying he feels he owed for the plagiarizing of one of his songs. This producer is Jermain Dupri who was interviewed by Associated Press recently where he expressed thoughts on the Pharrell & Thicke case saying “”Younger producers like myself and Pharrell, we make records that are influenced by other records that are out there,”. “I believe the same thing has happened to me.” Dupri said, Ciara’s new single “I Bet” is very similar to Ushers hit from 2001 “U Got It Bad”. Jermaine is now planning to contact Ciara to make sure he gets the proper credit.
Tyga confirms his love for Kylie Jenner
On Instagram Tyga has finally confessed his feeling about Kylie Jenner. With the caption “Certain things catch your eye, but only few capture the heart” and a pictures of Kylie. This relationship between Tyga and Kylie has been a rumor for quite some time now. At first the rapper was denying even go so far as to say he wasn’t on radio shows. Tyga is sure to get a lot more people talking bad about him over the internet now but at least he is being honest now.
Common to be in season two of “Empire” along with Oprah
The show “Empire” is one of the most watched first seasons of a show ever with almost 15 million viewers tuning in the latest episode. The stars of the show are already getting ready to film the second season. The co-creator of the hit show Lee Daniels told Access Hollywood that he is writing roles for both Oprah Winfrey and Common. The two-hour season finale of the first season of “Empire” will air Wednesday night at 8/7c on Fox.
Lil Wayne stormed off stage during a concert in Florida
Lil Wayne was doing a show in Florida at the Nova Southeastern University and had a conflict with the DJ. During Waynes performance he was about to do his remix to O.T. Genasis’ hit song CoCo that was on his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape. Instead of playing the remix the DJ played the actual song wayne only realizing it wasn’t his version right as he was about to start rapping. This causes way to get angry and throw his microphone and make gestures at the DJ and leaves. It is not known if Wayne ever made it back to the stage but we can only assume he didn’t after making a big deal out of it. Check out the video down below of the situation.
