At the Brit Awards 2015 Kanye West performed a new track called “All Day” which most people including Taylor Swift really enjoyed. Reports are that Kanye was told to perform a T.V. friendly version of his song but instead he performed it in its original state without the sugar coat. ITV was streaming the show and tried to selectively censor Kanye as he performed but were unable to and just muted him completely in their broadcast. Lionel Richie was in the audience wasn’t happy with Kanye’s performance saying he did not like Kanye’s continuous use of the N-word. “Kanye is giving us the generation shock value. How he carries on for the next 10 years we will see.” Lionel Richie said in an interview with Mirror.

Tink is a female rapper who has been on a lot of people’s radar ever since see linked up with legendary hip-hop producer Timbaland. Tink was signed by Timbaland last year and 2015 is looking like it is going to be her year to really shine and show everyone what she is made of. The Chicago artist has just announced her first single for her upcoming debut album called “Ratchet Commandments” which is produced by none other than Timbaland himself and will be released this coming week with artwork for the track also being shared on Tinks Instagram.

 

Though everyone knows that Kanye is basically done with Nike and is now rolling with Adidas he still wouldn’t mind helping Drake get into the sneaker creation world. In his interview with BBC1 Kanye made it clear that he would be willing to give Drake “confidential design advice on shoes he’s doing over at that company.” The company he is talking about happens to be Nike and Kanye continued by saying he would work with Drake to do “anything that we can collectively do to deliver more awesomeness to the world as a team.”

Missy Elliot’s comeback album seems to be coming along very nicely with very talented people helping work on it. Just a few weeks back we had seen that Timbaland was in the studio with Missy creating but now another photo has come up showing Missy in the studio with Pharrell. Last night she tweeted out a pic of her and Pharrell in the studio with the caption  “VA! 2 up 2 down! Me & my fam @Pharrell hard at work.” It is obvious that they are working on her comeback album but we still have no release date or word on features but keep it locked right here for more information as it surfaces.

Last week half of Drakes latest project “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” was charting on Billboards Hot 100. That in itself is quite an accomplishment but he has taken it to another level this week with each and every song from his album charting on the top 100. Drake has 17 tracks on the top 100 but is also featured on four other songs that are charting putting him at a total of 21 songs charting at the same time. That is quite an impressive feat and really shows that Drake is really at the top of the rap game right now. The list of charting songs is below.

Kanye has gotten two tattoos to honor his late mother Donda West and his daughter North West. Last night Kanye went and got his mothers and daughter birthdates tattooed on his wrists but according to Kim he originally wanted the tattoos on his forehead but she stopped him. There are photos of the wrist tattoos and what would have been the forehead tattoo below.

On Twitter, Kanye West took it upon himself to finally apologize to Bruno Mars for disliking him and his music so much: “I also want to publicly apologize to Bruno Mars,  I used to hate on him but I really respect what he does as an artist. I also would love for Bruno to sing this hook on this song 88 Keys / Puff and I produced…   I even asked Tyler to shoot the vid.”

Rich Homie Quan feels that he has a grammy coming his way after he starts making music on his own: “I got too much good music that these people want to hear. I have been focusing more on myself. I’ve stepped away from Rich Gang, just to get back to Quan. These people want Quan.”

“Its been so long since I dropped a mixtape. I want to give em’ the Quan they know…I feel as if I can’t lose. This new sound honestly, I feel as if I have me a Grammy and that’s on everything.”

Childish Gambino discusses his career as of 2015, he says he now understands himself much more: “I think earlier it was a little hard just because I don’t think people understood what I was. That’s what I think it really is. I think when you make a lane it’s hard, because you’re trying to look at blueprints and you’re like, ‘Those don’t work.’ But this is a different thing. Now I kind of understand myself a lot more.”

 

During a phone call with Hot 97, Bobby Shmurda denied everything that police allegedly caught him with: “Nah, what they hearing about that night, that shit is not true,” Shmurda said. “The cops been out for me for forever. They been trying to slay me for forever, but they’ll never catch me with nothing. It might be like four, five cops that night that had just grabbed me up. They told me that ‘Yo, I don’t want my kids listening to your music. This and that.’”

The Brit Awards 2015 are happening right now at London’s O2 arena. Kanye has not been to these awards in nine years but he made his comeback this year and he performed a new single called “All Day” which has been highly anticipated but was proceeded by Kanye’s other singles “Only” and “Wolves.” Now with three songs that are supposed to be in his upcoming album listened to we can really start to get an idea of what direction Kanye has gone with this album and we can’t wait to hear more. There was hardly any information on this situation when it first happened but now details are starting to arise about exactly what had happened. Police have had great progress in the investigation of who stabbed two members of Nicki Minaj’s team at a bar in Philly. The police have made an arrest of a 31 year old Philadelphia native named Pierce Boykin on Monday with charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and other related offenses. It is not yet clear on if the police are looking for another suspect in this case but keep it right here for more information on the police investigation.

OVO member Hush has taken to twitter to fire shots at Tyga and Chris Brown. The first shot he took was at Tyga which was a take on Drake latest album’s title but said “Tyga if you love her its too early.” Adding in a caption that read “Wanna know what rhymes with Tyga’s a cougar?….Child abuser.” As for Chris Brown Hush took a piece of the recent interview with Hot 97 that Chris Brown did captioning it with “This just in: It’s just jealousy ya’ll. Back to you, Bob! #NotSoBreakingNews.”

In a recent interview A$AP Ferg was asked about his sophomore album and had this to say “Man, I’m a perfectionist. I’ve got a lot of songs done, but I don’t know if they’re all right yet, It’s gonna be out before the summer probably. Probably a couple months, couple weeks, I just really want to put it out, I don’t want to talk too much about it.” Ferg says that he shows a lot of growth in this new album and that the fans will really appreciate it over everyone else.

John Legend caught everyone’s attention the night of the Oscar’s when he included a fact about the black community in his speech: “There are more black men under correctional control today then were under slavery in 1850.”

Complex.com was able to back up Legend’s speech with credible data: “There were 872,924 black men (16 or older) enslaved in the United States in 1850. Additionally, the website reports that in 2013, 1.68 million black men were under correctional control in the United States.” (complex.com)
