Lil Wayne has been on social media hinting at something new. It appears as though Wayne is hinting at a different album that is not Tha Carter V but a free album to go along with the “Free Weezy Season” movement that is going on. In one tweet Wayne said “The Free Weezy Album…komin soon#FWA” and in the other he said “Free album. Free Weezy season. The Free Weezy Album. #FWA.” So seems Lil Wayne has some things planned we’ll keep you up to date on any new details as they emerge.
Jay Z and Beyonce are currently living in a hotel in Beverly Hills actively looking for a home to buy on the westside of Los Angeles. Though they are still looking for a home the reports are that their daughter, Blue Ivy, has already been enrolled in a toddler program at a private school whose tuition is $15,080 each year. The reasoning for the move is said to be the couple wanting a change in lifestyle but no matter what we’ll be sure to keep everyone up to date with the new house with pictures as they become available.
The former Hot Boy Turk didn’t exactly see all the success that Lil Wayne did after the group split up. That being said he and Wayne seem to still have something in common because they are both suing Cash Money. Turks suit is not as huge as Waynes but is still a pretty big deal because he is asking for $1.3 million in unpaid royalties. Turk says that Birdman and company have done some “shady accounting” and have not disclosed his full earnings and wants his Cash Money contract voided.
It has been a long time coming but Kanyes Adidas collab is almost here. Kanye just recently tweeted out a link to his new website “Yeezy.Supply” which also has a countdown that will end on the 12th at 4pm eastern. Adidas has been telling everyone that “Yeezy Season” is approaching and wanting everyone to sign up for email email alerts on the Kanye x Adidas release.
Lil Wayne filed a law suit against Cash Money Records for $51 Million, the following is a portion of the lawsuit: “In early December, 2014, Carter delivered to Cash Money the sound recordings comprising the second of the solo albums, entitled ‘Tha Carter V’, provided for by the 2012 Amendment. Although obligated to pay Carter Eight Million Dollars ($8,000,000.00) at the commencement of the recording of ‘Tha Carter V’ and Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) upon delivery of the album, Cash Money breached the 1998 Recording Agreement as amended specifically by the 2012 Amendment, by failing to pay Carter the Eight Million Dollar ($8,000,000.00) payment upon commencement of the recording and paying Carter only Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) over the course of the recording of ‘Tha Carter V’.”

After having a Confidential party scheduled at the Beverly Hills Hotel, John Legend refused to attend do to the owners social views: “John Legend will not be attending the L.A. Confidential party at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday, February 5th in light of the horrific anti-women and anti-LGBT policies approved by the hotel’s owner, the Sultan of Brunei. These policies, which among other things could permit women and LGBT Bruneians to be stoned to death, are heinous and certainly don’t represent John’s values or the spirit of the event. John does not, in any way; wish to further enrich the Sultan while he continues to enforce these brutal laws.” Many other celebrities such as Ellen DeGeneres and Sharon Osborne have also boycotted visiting the Beverly Hills Hotel in the past.
Taraji P. Henson was asked about her character, Cookie, from the TV show “Empire”: “Is she influenced by Foxy Brown? There hasn’t been much of Rihanna since the release of her album Unapologetic way back in 2012 but her new song “FourFive Seconds” changed that. Rihanna is going to be taking the stage at the grammys along with Kanye West and Paul McCartney which shows she is getting back to business and we can expect a new project soon enough. The Sun newspaper got an exclusive source that’s close to Rihanna that said “Rihanna’s seriously pleased to have bagged a big slot at The Grammys and two huge names to kick off her comeback.” It is also being reported that Kanye will debut a brand new song of his own at the Grammys which is really good to hear.
Suge Knights $2 million bail has already been revoked in his fatal hit-and-rune case with one charge of murder and one attempted murder charge. Yesterday Suge was in L.A. County Superior Court for a plea on his charges and entered a plea of not guilty. Knight was rushed to a hospital afterwards because he experienced a panic attack. Suge Knight faces life in prison if he is convicted of the death of the victim Terry Carter.
Police in Arizona are on the search for Diddy after a man named Steven Donaldson who attended a Super Bowl afterparty in a club in Scottsdale, Arizona. This man claims Diddy punched him in the face early on Monday morning. Diddy was scheduled to host the event but did not show up until 1:15am and at that point he just stayed in a VIP section. In a video that showed up online you can hear Stevenson cussing at Diddy for not getting on stage and hosting like he was originally supposed to and that is when he claims Diddy punched him in the face. Donaldson filed a battery report and the Scottsdale police are now seeking to have a sit down with Diddy. We’ll keep you up to date on any further events that come from this story.
Emmis is a company that owns both Hot 97 in New York and the sister station in L.A. Power 106.1 and they have been losing a lot of their big radio personalities including Angie Martinez Cipha Sounds, and Mister Cee. Now it seems as though the company may be losing another huge personality which is Big Boy of the L.A. station Power 106. Reports are saying that Big Boys contract with the company ends this month and that he is looking to jump to a competitor station iHeartMedia. But Emmis in new legal documents states that iHeartMedia is offering Big Boy $3.5 million plus royalties and perks which include a private jet. Big Boy only was making 1.45 million annually with Power but in their contract they are able to match any offer from competitors and they did but Big Boy still refused. Now Emmis is asking a judge to not allow Big Boy to leave and are seeking $5 million. No word from Big Boy at this time but we will keep you up to date on what happens next in this situation.
Rapper, The Jacka, was targeted in Oakland Monday morning by an unidentified man. Police were in the area when they heard the gunshots and found 37-year old Dominic Newton (The Jacka), wounded.
Newton was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. On February 3, 2015, fans gathered around the crime scene as a tribute to Dominic Newton.
Young Thug has made it known that he is upset with Lil Wayne. Young Thug claims that Lil Wayne stole his style in his newest song: “This f** boy already rich he sold millions of records and now he wanna sound like thugger?, now I see why Baby won’t release Carter 5 he’s a swagger jacker. He ain’t no real Blood anyway we don’t respect n***z stealing folks styles, if he make one mo song like me I’m suing his punk a** for identity theft!”
