Porn star Mellanie Monroe is accusing New York rapper Maino of punching her in an SUV parked outside of a NYC nightclub The Griffin. According to Page Six the reports are that Monroe says she and Maino were in the car when he began punching her, and Maino fled the scene. She says she had leg pain after the altercation but Maino has yet to be taken into custody or charged with anything.
In an interview with HotNewHipHop Tory Lanez talked about some big tracks that he had actually ghostwritten. Lanez says he wrote Travi$ Scott and T.I.’s “Quintana Pt. 2” and also Jeezy and Akon’s song “Been Getting Money” plus a Meek Mill and August Alsina track set to appear on Meeks upcoming album.
DJ Premier and Loaded Lux are going to be releasing a joint album. Premier talked about what got the ball rolling on the project saying “I was like, ‘Yo, we gotta work on a project.” Then premier added “We haven’t put it out there, but we’ve been having verbal meeting s about doing an album project together, and we’re gonna make that happen” DJ Premier never talked about a timeline for the projects release though.
After dealing with too many legal cases and drug offenses, Interscope Records reportedly refused to release Chief Keef’s new album.
“Our source maintains Interscope began to ‘subtly disassociate’ itself from the 19-year-old rapper after he had a series of legal cases sprout up in 2013 and 2014, ranging from lawsuits to drug offenses… A March 2014 shootout in Chicago, which authorities linked Keef to, allegedly further damaged the relationship with Interscope. Keef and his people tried to keep the label accountable (once Keef moved to Los Angeles) but Interscope didn’t seem interested in dropping a new album,” continues the report. “Keef’s team tried to have formal meetings but nothing moved… Insiders say friction intensified until there were arguments with higher-ups in Interscope over how Keef’s career was being handled. Miller, being an independent artist, recently confirmed his pairing with Warner Bros, the first major Label he has signed to: “Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with… It is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label Remember through music and let them handle everything I don’t like doing. A Kentucky Derby Festival promoter has opened a suit against The Game for apparently skipping out on his set at the show after he had learned he had been bumped down from the headliner spot. The promoter is suing for $75,000 and according to Courthouse News The Game was wired $35,000 deposit before the show and never paid it back after not showing up.
The Ruff Ryder DMX has taken 250K out of his personal bank account to save his ex-wife’s home from foreclosure. Tashera Simmons, his ex-wife, shares the home with their four kids. With the mortgage going unpaid for almost four years which added up to $258,927.87 and DMX paid it in full.

The Wu-Tang member Raekwon says he pushed back his solo album because of the upcoming group album, A Better Tomorrow. But while speaking with HipHopDX at a press conference the rapper said his solo album would be coming in the first quarter of 2015. Hopefully we get a taste of what Raekwons solo album will sound like after we get the new Wu-Tang album in our hands.
The hacker group known as Anonymous is known to take action against those who go against the right to free speech and other political things they feel are unjust. They are for a lot of the stuff that Lupe Fiasco is for which is why it has come out that their latest target was Lupe’s label, Atlantic. Lupe has voiced his problems with his label in the past from having problems being able to release music how he wants. The latest one being that Atlantic wouldn’t put out his album until he had a “pop single”. But Anonymous decided to help out by threatening Atlantic on twitter stating that they would “launch a direct attack against your website, your associates, and your executives” if there was no release date for Lupes album immediately. Later that day Fiasco’s album Tetsuo & Youth finally got an official release date January 20th 2015.
Taylor Bennett who is an up-and-coming artist is mainly known for being the younger brother of Chance the Rapper. Taylor was arrested last Thursday after turning himself in for beating a man at a college party last week. Supposedly the attack happened on September 28th with the reports saying that Bennett attacked the 21-year-old college student after the man stepped on his shoe. The whole incident was caught on camera with sources saying the victim suffered “a fractured skull, bleeding on the brain, impeded speech and headaches.” When Taylor was tracked down via social media he turned himself in and he and his accomplice are now being held on a bond of $75,000.
A former Bad Boy Records artist Ma$e who retired from rap way back in 1999 to become a minister has recently made his way back to the mic and people are questioning it. Charlamagne Tha God from the hit morning radio show The Breakfast Club called Ma$e a hypocrite and of course Ma$e didn’t like that. According to HipHopWired Ma$e pushed Charlamagne and security quickly came and sorted things out. It is also rumored that the two talked it out and Ma$e expressed interest in being on their morning show. Later on Charlamagne took to twitter to say he wasn’t pushed but Ma$e did run up get pushed and then they prayed together.
Last week Bobby Shmurda posted on instagram about not being paid for his shows going into a rant about the whole situation. Leslie Pollard who is Shmurdas mother and manager talked about his claims in a statement to Billboard. “It’s not that he’s not getting paid, it’s that he’s new to the business, There’s a chain of command that he has to go through before he gets his payment. I guess he’s thinking all the money should go from the front man to his hands—it doesn’t work like that. Of course they hold onto it so he actually does the show. Then it goes to his business manager, then to the touring accountant, and then to him.” Leslie stated.
