According to a student in a Trade Tech Lecture that Kanye has to do as part of his community service a student came forth talking about everything Kanye lectured about. Kanye talked about Tupac being in the movie Juice inspiring him and Ice Cube being one of his biggest inspirations and biggest let-downs. Ye also talked about Steve Jobs which is not uncommon for him since he also sees Steve as a huge inspiration. Kanye talked about success stating that Rolexes and Benz’s don’t actually represent success but doing things for others as well as the people around you and yourself does.

 

Rich Homie Quan has been wanting a Drake feature on his debut album really wanting to make it happen. Mtv News gathered, while at the BET Awards, that Rich Homie has achieved his goal and then some saying he has recorded three or four tracks with Drizzy himself. Though it is highly unlikely we will hear all of the collaborations on his album Quan said that Drake would be using some of the songs too for whatever project he’s working on. Rich Homie Quan says his album is 40% done and he hopes to get it out sometime in 2015.

During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, K. Michelle tried to set things straight with America.

According to TMZ’s report, the stabbing was in relation to Chris Brown and his entourage. The victim was stabbed during a fight that had broken out at Supperclub in Hollywood.

Chris Brown says he has a ton of respect for Kendrick saying “Kendrick is amazing,” in an interview with XXL “I think he’s just a great dude aside from being an artist. He’s a real humble cat and a respectable guy. And also, he’s an incredible lyricist. So I think when we did the song, just his subject matter and how he approached the track was mind-blowing. I think he had one of the best verses that I have ever heard because of what he was saying and the message that he was talking about.” Chris says that Kendrick separates himself from the other rappers because of his subject matter adding “Some rappers, you have guys that will only talk about what they have or what they got or what they can shine off of, but I think when you can paint a picture poetically, it’s more therapeutic, and at the end of the day it means a lot more. It goes a long way.”

Leonardo was recorded recently rapping a Busta Rhymes verses on the 1991 Tribe Called Quest Song “Scenario.” Jamie Foxx was also with Leo in the West Hollywood night club 10ak for a party honoring a promoter Richie Akiva’s birthday. Way back in 2008 DiCaprio actually named A Tribe Called Quest one of his “favorite groups of all-time.”

Donda’s House, Inc. and Common teamed up with Chicago Urban League for the first annual AAHH! Fest that happened over the weekend. The event was charity driven and hosted by Dave Chappelle with Kanye making a surprise appearance during Commons set performing various songs. Others who came out were Lupe Fiasco, De La Soul and MC Lyte. The event benefits a lot of different entities from Common’s Common Ground Foundation to Arts Education in Chicago public schools.

Sources say the venues required more security in order for YG to perform. “We been fighting tooth and nail to get it, we finally got it and now they want to take it away, YG has a professional team around him.”

Bone thugs-n-harmony’s manager, Steve Lobel claims that the group hopes to get 10 million dollars for their final group album.

After August Alsina suddenly collapsed when performing in New York a few days ago he was brought quickly to the hospital. What we didn’t know is that he had actually been in a coma for three days. Having just woken up today August has said he is doing much better and is recovering.

Liza Rios who is the late Big Pun’s widow is suing Fat Joe asking for more than one million dollars. She is saying that her and Fat Joe had a deal to split the money made by Big Pun after the rappers passing in 2000. Liza says she hasn’t received any money since 2005 and she doesn’t put all the blame on Fat Joe but she wants what is owed to her.

Keyshia Cole was arrested last night after she assaulted a woman when she found her at Birdman’s condo in Los Angeles. Keyshia Cole and Birdman are rumored to be dating which is news to a lot of people. According to TMZ Keyshia paid Birdman a visit at around 5 a.m. finding an unidentified woman already there. She attacked the woman leaving visible scratches on her face landing Keyshia under arrested for battery. Cole she was released this morning on $46,000 bail.
