On August 30, 2012 Hip Hop manager Chris Lighty, 44, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head after having an argument with his estrange wife. The founder of Violator Management was found by police lying face up on the basement patio in a pool of blood with a 9 mm pistol by his side. Yesterday (Sept 8th)on an episode of Celebrity Crime Files two of Lighty good friends LL Cool and Busta Rhymes who wrote a tribute song to Lighty title “Chris Lighty” will talk about their suspicion of wrong doing in Lighty death. 50 Cent a client of Lighty and Lighty mother hire private investigator Les Levine to investigate Lighty death. They do not believe that Lighty committed suicide over money, he supposedly owed the IRS $5 million dollars or he will not kill himself over marital problems.

The Migos allegedly have robbed concert promoters at gunpoint

In Evansvill, Indiana on Sunday night the migos were supposed to perform but never did. This was after already being paid 11,000 up front with another 10,000 to pay them after the performance. But police reports say the Migos took the money and left and when the promoters, 41 South, tried to confront the group they had two guns pointed at them. With no arrest made yet the situation is still developing and we will keep you updated.

Have you seen the part II of the Love & Hip Hop reunion.  On the show a huge brawl broke out between Stevie J, Joseline Hernandez, Benzino and Althea.  After that brawl ended Joseline attack Waka Flocka wife Tammy Rivera and she pulled Tammy ponytail of her head.  Waka who was on tour at the time of the taping of the reunion show was not to happy that his wife was attacked.  Tammy recently posted a picture letting people know that Waka was back.  In the photo Waka had a firearm in his possession and it is in violation of his current probation. Someone tipped of the Feds and they have allegedly been in touch with Waka attorney, Tammy post could land her hubby in jail.

Mahan sued Jay Z for co-writing credits on allegedly 45 songs. Jay Z has now reportedly filed a law suit to have Mahan’s. “After 14 years of silence, petitioner’s claims (and his attempt to use the federal courts as part of his shakedown scheme) are outrageous and wholly without merit. More significantly, for purposes of this motion, the claims are plainly barred by the three-year statutes of limitations contained in the Copyright Act, and have been for more than a decade,” Jay told Billboard.

Kendrick Lamars album “good kid, m.A.A.d city” has Inspired a college course

Having college courses about your music isn’t something songwriters ever strive for, but artist like 2Pac and Bruce Springsteen have achieved it at accredited universities. There is now a college course that centers on the lyrics of Kendrick Lamar called “Good Kid, Mad Cities,” It is being offered this fall at Georgia Regents University. The Professor Adam Diehl says he chose the album because of its focus on social issues. Things like gang violence, child-family development in the inner city, drug use and the war on drugs. A lot of the topics in Kendrick album are hot topics in society today.

During his Yeezus Tour at a concert in Perth, Australia Yeezy took a moment to talk about his highly anticipated collaboration with Adidas. Kanye went on to say “I feel good because we’ve been working hard. We got the new Yeezys, the Yeezy IIIs coming in November. And this is just the beginning,” There are still no images of the new kicks but if they are anything like the previous ones they will sell out very quickly.

Due to his shocking tweets last week, Cee-Lo has been uninvited to headline Gretna Heritage Festival in New Orleans. Green’s comments were said to be “not acceptable”. However that was not the only statement the festival committee had to say, “Our community does not condone these disparaging remarks delivered by Cee Lo Green, and we feel this entertainer does not represent what our festival is about and has achieved over the past 20 years.”  Others didn’t respond to well to Cee-Lo’s remarks, he will no longer be performing at a Washington DC Navy-sponsored concert and TBS has cancelled his reality TV show The Good Life.

Kendrick Lamar facing a million dollar lawsuit

Kendrick can be seeing a million dollar lawsuit in the near future for a song on his mixtape Section.80. Willie Jones III and Eric Reed are claiming that Kendricks song Rigamortis unlawfully uses their 2010 song “The Thorn.” Jones and Reed say they were never paid for the use of the song nor were they given credit. The two want more than a million as well as all profits and rights to “Rigamortis”. We will see how this works out and if they can even be complicated for a song on a mixtape that was released for free online.

Suge Knight said during an interview with TMZ “Even if I did, I don’t think that’s really important, who pulled the trigger and who I seen pulled the trigger, I think that I’m doing extremely well. I’m happy to be doing well and whatever happens, happens.” Knight believes that confrontation is inevitable and he believes that he just has to stay positive and be more aggressive then the people you want to deal with.
