When on radios Hot 107.9 promoting his new album Jeezy said that he and his crew should not have been arrested. He also said that he could of bailed out sooner but he wanted to stay until he made sure his whole crew was bailed out. “When the smoke clears and everything’s said and done, man I can promise you and I can assure you that me and my whole crew we gon’ be good.” Jeezy said. He also went on to donate $1 million to the Jay Morrison Academy which seems like a good look when there is so much negativity surrounding him.

Being a huge fan of Kanye, Chance the Rapper got to meet Kanye for the first time over the past weekend at Jay Z’s Made in America festival. Chance claims to be Kanyes biggest fan and expressed his excitement on instagram saying “Anyone who knows me knows how big of a moment this was for me. I’ve been his biggest fan since 04 and I’m pretty sure I’m still his #1 fan. Thanks to J for hookin it up. Thanks to Gizmo for all the good luck yesterday. #IMetKanye.” Chance also went on to twitter saying “We talked about Chicago and what we could do for it.” Both theses creative geniuses together can only be a good thing for hip hop.

Chance The Rapper is the headliner for The Verge Campus Tour 2014 which begin on September 26th at Cal Poly Pomona.  Other performers on the tour includes Jason Derulo, Travis Scott, Kygo, Young & Sick and Sweater Beats.  There will be more artist announced in the future.  The tour is more than just a concert there education, technology, entrepreneurship, creativity and fashion.  Student will also have the opportunity to land internships and post-grad job as well.  See The Verge Campus Tour dates below.

Chris Browns legal team has rejected a plea deal on his assault case which was for an assault last October outside of a Washington, D.C. hotel. Prosecution offered to lower the charge down to a simple assault from misdemeanor assault. Browns Lawyer wants surveillance footage before agreeing to any plea deals. Tomorrow Chris Brown is to be in court again to try and reach a plea deal again.

The OVO roster has grown again because Drake decided to sign another up and coming artist by the name of ILOVEMAKONNNEN. This comes after Drizzy had remixed one of the artists underground singles called “Tuesday.” The roster as it stands right now for OVO Sound includes Drake, Majid Jordan, PARTYNEXTDOOR, OB O’Brien, and now ILOVEMAKONNEN.
