Michigan State University has decided to cancel Wiz Khalifas concert that was scheduled for September 13th because of the shooting that occurred at one of his shows last week. The school issued a statement stating the reason for the cancellation saying “review of recent events and assessment of campus concerns” The school is issuing refunds to all of the students that had bought tickets.
West coast producer Dj Mustard in a CRWN interview talked about how dire the west coast music scene was in California before he came out. Mustard said “It was dead. It wasn’t nothing going on, we had OGs like Snoop, Dr. Dre, Cube, all of them but it was time for a new generation and nobody in this audience can tell me somebody they was listening to before me and YG started bringing that sound back together. After 2 years Cee-Lo Greens case about ecstasy has come to a conclusion. Back in October of 2013 Green pleads not guilty to supplying ecstasy to a woman who filed sexual assault charges on him back in 2012. The charges have since been dropped from sexual assault to furnishing (supplying) a schedule 1 substance in which Cee-Lo plead no contest which lets him keep his innocence but still will have substantial dues to pay. Green will be on probation for three years and have to perform 360 hours of community service and attend 52 AA meetings.
As the Cudi was interacting with fans in the photo pit level he signed an autograph then immediately collapsed. Kid Cudi was carried out by security and fans were left concerned until Cudi later posted an apology on Twitter: “If I scared anyone tonight I am so so sorry from the bottom of my heart.” “Ill do a better and make sure to eat properly on show days 🙂 scouts honor!”

Lynch and Kanye met up to discuss filming a video for a Yeezus song. Lynch says he feels like he let Kanye down due to the lack of ideas. “’Blood on the Leaves’ is one of my favorite songs,” Lynch says while interviewing with The Daily Beast. “It’s great. He’s just ridin’ the wave and not takin’ no for an answer. We almost worked together, but I never got the ideas. I feel I let him down a little bit.”
“I was going to do the music video for ‘Blood on the Leaves,’ but it never happened,” Lynch says. “I didn’t come up with any ideas that I thought he would like. Kanye came up to the house one day. Kanye’s a good guy, and a great musician. I loved the song, and that’s what brought us together, but I couldn’t come up with ideas that thrilled either one of us.”
According to Billboard, Nicki’s album is said to be released on November 28th. Last November Nicki discussed her work on the album:
“I already started, and I’m going home, actually tomorrow to really start,” she said at the time. “Like, I’m taking two months to just lock in. So I’m really excited, and the people that I have been working with now have been people that I haven’t worked with before, so it’s like they’re bringing a new sound to the album that I’ve never experimented with.”
With his new album, Non Fiction releasing in November, Ne-Yo says that R&B is heading in the right direction.
“R&B environment right now, it’s very diverse,” Ne-Yo says during an interview with HipHopDX August 29,, 2014. “There’s your traditional Hip Hop, traditional R&B and then there’s the mixture of the two. A lot of young cats coming up right now. I feel good about the genre right now. I feel like positive moves are being made.”
Rapper Wale chose to leave Roc Nation Management after his Manager decided to focus on sports. Wale has been with Roc Nation Management since 2009 but is now with 77 North Management the same company LeBron James is with. Though Wale is still with Maybach Music Group and his album is still set to come out by the end of this year titled “Album About Nothing”.
